I need Rick to leather one with 'Old blue' and say "Blue! Your my boy!!" (Old Skool Style). 😂 Every single time you hit old blue it comes into my head. Can't stop it!
Credit where credit is due Peter. It just looked nightmarish to film and you pulled off a very entertaining Vlog. Again thanks, the quality always shows through in your and Ricks filming even when you're getting battered by the elements.
Pete, that was a great chop out shot on the last and the putt was, oh, so close! Very dramatic! AimPoint seems to be working, though I think much of it is that it makes it easier to commit to a line. If only it were faster to use...
That chip-out from the water hazard on the last was class! Very well done. You really deserved to hole that putt. But I guess it was just one of those days ;)
great vlog - i know you guys are pressed for time on the course but it'd be great to have an explanation on how you hit those fairway bunker shots in a gaming situation... maybe just explain what is the one thing you're focussing on...
genuinely interested in the rule here Pete...I assume you didnt ground the club in the hazard, but you were touching foliage within the hazard...can you do that or would that strictly be loss of hole?
www.randa.org/Rules-of-Golf/MainRules/13-Ball-Played-as-It-Lies/SubRules/4-Ball-in-Hazard-Prohibited-Actions you can touch the grass or things growing from a hazard, but don't ground the club or clear any type of path for the club prior to the shot
Rick, some suggestions to help you lower your handicap. 1. Get rid of your driver, your 3 wood is enough. 2. Add more wedges and work on your short game. 3. Work on speed control with your putts more.
I've now watched all 3 vlogs here and the first 3 over on Ricks channel. I didn't mind the aimpoint or the perceived extra time it took, it didn't put me of watching nor would it do in the future. I'm a little curious that your using it without being fully trained ("next lesson is on pace"). It would be good to see a comparison on number of putts between aimpoint and traditional (not sure you still gamegolf), I doubt there would be much difference. I would like to see a vlog on how aimpoint works in the future. Keep up the good work Pete!
you have a great swing Pete really natural I can never understand why you never score really low with such a good swing , may be your a bit hard on yourself
haha hope thats a joke 😜 - Pete's swing looks super smooth but its not about about the looks fellas! Go watch highlights of John Rahm and Jim Furyk at the Dell Match Play last week! Oh and go watch the massive changes that he makes with Dan Whittaker! Fascinating stuff - cheers for another great vlog Pete and Rick!
touching the grass isn't the same as grounding the club www.randa.org/Rules-of-Golf/MainRules/13-Ball-Played-as-It-Lies/SubRules/4-Ball-in-Hazard-Prohibited-Actions
What's happened with you guys? Neither you nor Rick seem to be posting any teaching videos at all, it's all either watching you guys play these amazing courses or Rick reviewing the next latest set of clubs! Nothing really wrong with that but I'd also like to get some learning at of all of this too. How about at least throwing in a few teaching videos every now an then. Please.
They've done tons of lessons over the years, there's probably not an aspect of the game they haven't covered. They're now playing more golf and gunning for the open which would be great for them.
Brilliant end part to a great series.
That escape shot by you Peter on the 18th was outstanding - a touch of Finch Magic.
Cheers
cheers bud
Malcolm A.
Marvelous put, buy hard luck!!!! Pete.
Good match guys! I can't wait to see what the rest of the trip has in order
a lot more golf :)
Love the course vlogs and the reviews guys. Keep up the great work.
cheers Duffy

If Pete's last put dropped it would have been the best up and down ever!
looking back it just needed a little more roll on the chip shot and it would have taken the slope down to the pin very nicely
Considering how windy it was, well done on the Vlog it looked great, unbelievably difficult to film and you captured great sound
cheers Richard

What an amazing chip from that little ditch Pete was in on the 18th, well done Pete !!
cheers bud
Great golf again. Thanks for cutting out that aim point commentry too! Rick enjoying a good "bluey" eh?
That chip out of the hazard on 18 might be the shot of the year!
why thank you
genuinely interested in the rule here Pete...I assume you didnt ground the club in the hazard, but you were touching foliage within the hazard...can you do that or would that strictly be loss of hole?
Loss of hole

only now watching the video and I got to say Peters chip with a bush up his arse was epic to be fair lol

I want to see Rick do his Open Qualifying using that 3-wood and keep the driver in the bag. I bet he makes the first cut no problem!
tbf he hits it that well he should keep everything else in the bag as well haha
Rick is like Will Ferrell in the movie Old School when he talks about the 3 wood. "your my boy blue,, your my boy"
haha
I just hate playing in windy conditions like that, full marks to you both, tough last putt to end the match.
michael brooks I've always loved playing in the wind... I feel it makes you a better player
Me too, especially the gusty winds.
I don't mind the wind every now and again, it would be tricky constantly though
15:55 was the best shot of the entire trip.
....so far ;)

it's all about practice, you need to use a new technique in a game situation or what't the point
I'm gonna start calling him lip out Pete!!
certainly felt like that the first few days
ol bluey got ya
ain't that the truth
you have a great swing Pete really natural I can never understand why you never score really low with such a good swing , may be your a bit hard on yourself
Very true, I think while he's swinging he's too busy thinking about how he's going to edit the video.

it's not how it looks bud, I'll get there though
How much time does it take to video a round of golf? 5 min per hole?
a full 18 filming is over 5 hours normally, we play like a slow 4 ball filming
he grounded his club

check out their lessons with dan? they're pretty interesting
Christopher Lyons, there are recent lesson videos on QuestGolf with either Pete, Rick or James.
They've done tons of lessons over the years, there's probably not an aspect of the game they haven't covered. They're now playing more golf and gunning for the open which would be great for them.
I posted some putting vids a few weeks back, there are lots on there already also
Ik I’m 3 years late but why did you give rick the last putt? He missed and you guys were both lying 4
