This setup appears to be illegal, the samsung one connect cable is not UL rated for in wall runs, without a conduit (which I didn't see you install), or a separate in wall cable this will basically void the home owners warranty.
So does the cable line and power go into the black box? Do I understand that if I want to mount this above my fireplace I don't need cable or power behind it, only that cable that hooks to the box?
This is embarrassing. Can't believe you'd actually mount a tv with drywall anchors. So unsafe. Please don't copy this method. Find studs. SMFH. Also you should mention that they shouldn't be running power into the wall to the one connect box as the wire is not in-wall rated, in some states it's a fire hazard. 🤦
agree with you on the one connect wire its not in wall rated they should have used a recessed box and ran romex and a plug for the one connect box but as for using drywall anchors you can use the toggle type ones that lock into the back of the drywall they are rated for over 100lbs but your not able to get full 16 on center with the way the frame mounting brackets are designed some have 2 separate ones that you space accordingly based on the size frame you try get at least 2 screws in studs of each then use toggles on the corners that's more than sufficient for the frame its not overly heavy unit.
As an electrician who also owns a tv mounting company, this is highly illegal. You need to run that one connect cable through a conduit especially if you’re mounting a tv over the fireplace.
Nice video. So question. In an application like this wouldn't you want a mount that you can tilt down 2-5 degrees? Can't imagine it being up that high that the viewing is optimal?
I’ve installed this TV before, and it comes with two adjustable screw-in spacers that go in the lower mounting holes, for a non-flush mount option. This allows you to tilt it down.
@@DreamediaInstalls how about if you have a gas fireplace without a mantle? What do you think? I'm wanting to install the frame on top of my gas fireplace. The tv would hang right where the conduit for exhaust would go. If I don't pierce through the conduit in the wall, do you think it'll work fine?
Just my opinion its way too low. Its not centered from the ceiling amd will not accommodate aftermarket frames which requires 3 inches extra on all sides.
00:20 Who is this "Frank" dude? He better be hilarious like Grayson! 07:30 Great job explaining everything. 12:35 I get it now.... Frank is the en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straight_man right?
WRONG. I notice you didn’t show the pass thru at the bottom. Because you left a hole there. You should have ran romex to an existing plug or up thru the attic to an existing junction box. It’s amazing how you guys can get away with this. Definitely thumbs down
How did you route the cable? Video didn't show that.
I would like to know the same question. Thanks!

Warranty?
This guy does an excellent job explaining every step and the tools to use.
Thanks Laura

Good job Frank!!! The rest of the team at Dreamedia.

I was waiting for the part where they fish the wire through the wall and then they skipped the whole process…
I was just thinking the same thing
Yeah...was the reason I watched this. No help at all
Exactly !
Because they just strung it across the side of the fireplace firebox inside teh wall. Amateurs.
Any concern about the heat that the fireplace generates?
Why in gods name do americans mount their TVs so damn high? Who wants to break their neck to watch TV?
RustyNotesTV we have recliners
Lets cover the fire place instead lol
If you sit far enough away you don't have to crane your neck. Plus, mounts gave tilts!
This tv is extremely big..so breaking your neck to see it is impossible
I was about to say... the tv needed to be higher lol
Great heater for our 1910 bungalow great room. Highly recommended.Puts out allot of heat even on low setting.
Is the wire in wall rated? I thought they weren’t.
they 2019+ models are indeed NOT in wall rated. i have yet seen any video with a proper rated cable used.
They are definitely not. Samsung charges about 260 for a in wall rated cable.
What is the distance from the top/bottom edge of the tv to the mount?
How did you fish that cable with another stud in the way?
What kind of wall anchors and size drill bits are those?
I'm still not understanding the power/specialized cable routing

Clean install brotha
Can this TV be mounted with the "mantelmount" or do you have to use their proprietary mount?
I would like to know as well...
Great job.
Where did the sound bar go?
another great video, ...thanks from the UK....
Nice video. So question. In an application like this wouldn't you want a mount that you can tilt down 2-5 degrees? Can't imagine it being up that high that the viewing is optimal?
The no-gap flush mount can tilt down if needed.

very good👍🏻
They must have taken lunch and had someone else do the wiring. They didn't show that.
The instructions say specifically to install two screws in the center of the mount at position "A". I always follow the instructions.
I find the instructions on most things that need to be assembled are terrible and written by idiots who have never put together anything before.
Is the one connect in wall safe?
Works great, looks amazing and enough heat to help the room but not heat it when cold. No regrets changes the whole look of our family room
Feel like you guys really fast forwarded through how you got the one connect wire through the wall from point A to point B but ok
Can it be installed on a brick fireplace?
Yes
what are the dimensions of the One Connect Box?
Routing a power cable through the inside of a wall using a pass through???
Could tv be damaged with the heat of the fire?
It could but the possibility is low. The mantle blocks heat and the "Chimney" is encased in metal.

That kid is not having it😂
Is it me, or does every install have kids screaming in the background lol
good video except for the part where you didn't show how the tv connected in the back. Also the kid voices could have been less. Slightly distracting.
Video sucks, don’t show how to run cable

Frank the tank
No FN way do you hang a TV from drywall. Especially a 60 flat screen TV. Remind me not to have you hang my TV.
Didn't the mother think about taking her screaming child out of the room whilst the guys were doing the video!
Is that too high
Annoying child noises throughout.
It's not a production, it's a real time "with the pros" free walk through. Stop bitching

Looks dumb cos not even centred
You should have showed the most important part of this project which is how to run coax cable and electrical wire to the side wall
