Very Proud Of This One

This is a song about an old man called Derek and the interactions he had with my little boy. Derek had dementia and would have these circular monologues relating to Otis which would always end with 'you must be very proud of this one'. It was lovely seeing the joy that they gave each other, both at opposite ends of their earthly journeys.
