You will love this show. Just some stuff you should know before hand: This show takes place years after Episode 6, after the fall of the Empire and the rise of the Rebellion, or as they're now called the New Republic. This also takes place before Episode 7, which is in the sequel trilogy of movies but you haven't reacted to those yet. Don't worry, there aren't any spoilers for that in this show. Mandalorians are a creed of people that originated from the planet Mandalore, but you don't have to be from Mandalore to be a Mandalorian, its not a race. You might recognize the look of the Mandalorian in the show from Boba Fett in the original trilogy and Jango Fett from the prequels, they all share the similarity that they are all bounty hunters. Looking forward to seeing the rest of this and next season of the show!
Also the beskar is a very valuable and rare metal that was used mainly by the mandalorians but the Empire raided their homeworld (Mandalore) a while back and stole a lot of their beskar during a purge.

Hey, Magy! Here's some helpful info on episode 1, "The Mandalorian": "LONE WOLF AND CUB" Star Wars-style! There's a long-running manga (Japanese comics) from the '70's about a grizzled, disgraced Japanese swordsman and his infant son who travel the road undergoing a variety of adventures while seeking revenge against the clan that ruined them. The manga has been collected and translated for Western readers. Movies and a TV series in Japan have been based on it. This whole series is an homage to that story. Originally, Mandalorians were a non-human species called Taung. Over time, the martial philosophy of the original species was adopted by other species transforming a racial heritage into a cultural heritage. Mandalorians are predominantly human nowadays and are basically SPACE SPARTANS. They have fought with and against both the Jedi and the Sith throughout history as well as nearly dominated the galaxy on their own at one point under Mandalore the Great, an Alexander-like figure. During the Clone Wars, under Duchess Satine, they went through a pacifist phase. You've seen Mandalorian armor before worn by bounty hunter Jango Fett who served as the template for the clone army in the Prequel trilogy and worn by his unaccelerated clone "son", Boba Fett, who captured Han Solo in the Classic trilogy. You learn much more about Mandalorians in the animated "Clone Wars" TV series as well as watch young Boba grow up. The BESKAR metal Mando is paid in advance and provides to the armorer is prized by Mandalorians because it's impervious to LIGHTSABER strikes. This show is set 5 years after the Empire was defeated in "Return of the Jedi". When Empires collapse, provincial governors and generals assume control of extant fragments. It happened to Alexander's Empire, to the Mongol Empire, to the Western Roman Empire, to Imperial India and to Dynastic China. Those regions of the galaxy not under the control of the New Republic are controlled by IMPERIAL REMNANTS. The client, played by Werner Herzog, seems to be a civilian Imperial of high rank. The inestimable Werner Herzog is an internationally acclaimed German documentarian and filmmaker! He shot the classic "Fitzcarraldo" in the Amazon jungle and actually hauled a ferryboat over a huge muddy ridge to get from one tributary of the Amazon to another enlisting the aid of hundreds of Amazonian Indians. He collaborated frequently with an insane hothead actor called Klaus Kinski who would stall production with fits of apoplexy! His documentaries are deeply humane and profound explorations of the bizarre and unusual ranging from life at Antarctic research stations to cave paintings to vulcanology to the career of ex-Russian Premier Gorbachev. He is a beloved figure in the cinematic world and is thought of as a very serious guy with a truly distinctive way of speaking. When he does the occasional acting role, it's always a treat to see this cerebral icon just cut loose! He fell in love with Baby Yoda and kept exhorting the cast and crew to "commit to the magic" of the puppetry! Lol. I can't tell from the edit whether you recognized the creature that was like Jabba's cackling pet! I love the Kowakian monkey-lizard being roasted on a spit while a caged one watches! It's so mean. Nick Nolte brilliantly voiced the Blurrg-wrangling Ugnaught with his "I have spoken" catch-phrase. Ugnaughts are short, porcine tinkerers. You've seen them before in Cloud City working the smelter that almost turned Threepio's parts to slag in "Empire"! "Thor: Ragnarok" director Taika Waititi voiced IG-11, the assassin robot. He also directs the season finale. The music is by composer Ludwig Goransson who also provided the scores for "Creed", "Black Panther", "Venom" and "Tenet". The style of this series is modeled after a genre known as Spaghetti Westerns which were Italian oaters mostly shot in Spain with international casts in the '60's-'70's. These films were highly stylized, melodramatic and hyperviolent examples of an American genre refracted through European eyes. The three greatest practitioners were the three Sergios: Sergio Leone, Sergio Corbucci and Sergio Sollima. Clint Eastwood's Man with No Name trilogy ending with "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" was directed by Leone and is a classic of the genre. A RUclipsr cut a trailer of "The Mandalorian" in the style of a Leone film calling it "IL MANDALORIANO"! It's absolutely hysterical. Check it out: ruclips.net/video/IJH_RbnrGUs/видео.html Lucasfilm animation head responsible for "Clone Wars" and "Rebels", "Mandalorian" co-producer and Lucas disciple Dave Filoni directed the series premiere.
Beskar, also known as Mandalorian Iron, is a metal ore that was only ever found on the Mandalorian homeworld and it's moon. It's extremely durable, being one of the few known natural substances that could stand up against a lightsaber. This made it central to Mandalorian culture, being made into weapons, armor, buildings, and subsequently became very valuable in the Galaxy..
Just so you know a lot of stuff from the two animated shows Clone wars and rebels appear in this series especially season 2 storylines from the two other shows are picked up in Mando season 2
Fun fact, the IG-11 droid is voiced by Taika Waititi, the same guy who voiced Korg (the guy made of rock) in Thor: Ragnarok. He's also the director of that movie.
The Mandalorian takes place 5 years after Ep. VI Return of the Jedi. The Empire has fallen, but there are Imperial Remnants left which you will eventually meet and they'll become a large part of the story by the end of Season 1. Also if you have not watched any of the Clone Wars or Rebels, you may get lost by Season 2. As the show introduces characters and story lines from those series. Also a fan favorite character from the Original Trilogy (OT) that was presumed dead pops up in a big way in Season 2.
About 5 years after the destruction of the second Death Star (Episode VI) in the Outer Rim Territory (where Tatooine is, too). The Empire has fallen and the remnants are lead by local war lords (former high ranking imperials).
I would’ve recommended clone wars and rebels first, but they’re not necessary to enjoy the show. They have significant events related to this show. Beskar is mandalorian steel, from the planet mandalore. It’s very important in their culture. The empire took most of it in the Great Purge that was mentioned. That tablet he was given is like nazi gold. That droid was made specifically for killing. IG units are assassin droids. I see someone already told you this is after episode VI, so that should make it clear that the child is not yoda. Because yoda is dead.
@@Jpfield99 I have watched only clone wars and it isn’t necessary tho there are a lot of stuff in it that doesn’t get answered in this show but do in clone wars this show takes a lot from the clone wars shown and uses it. Many characters in this show are originally from the clone wars show.
As I'm sure others have pointed out, this takes place a few years after the events of Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, and something like 20-25 years before Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Interesting point: If he were still alive, Anakin Skywalker would have been about 50 years old at this time. 🧐
THAT particular droid was designed with combat and assassination as it's primary function. Just like R2-D2 is as mechanic/CPU interface this droid - I believe theyre the I.G. series - was built with the soul purpose of being a combat specialist.
It's so much fun watching your reactions to anything star wars related, I've been a Star wars geek since 1977, so watching as you discover Star War's is very entertaining, have fun on your journey.
Exact timing has this show 5 years after Return of the Jedi (episode 6) and 4 years after the events of the Aftermath Books, which, without giving away what happens in those books, essentially it's the official end to the empire that happens. I won't mention anything else that happens in them but do highly recommend you give them a read when you get the chance. This is also happening about 19 years before the book Bloodline (also highly recommend you read that eventually) and roughly 25 ish years before the first of the sequels, The Force Awakens (episode 7). I don't know what else to say without giving away anything so that's about it for where in the timeline this is happening.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but somehow i felt that season 2 is a bit overrated. Too many plot armor, on the nose fans moments. Look, i liked season 2, but i feel that the heiress, the certain char from clone wars series, and finale season 2 all should be revealed not the same season and more like one per season or even per two season.
You're gonna be on a ride of entertainment if you watch all seasons. btw I saw you pop up in my alerts and I was like, 'Yes, that smile! bring it to me!! oh damn she doing Mandalorian too!? bonus points!"
first season is really good, 2nd even better, I like how you react on cutness of the baby Yoda, you also look extra cute, especially with those glasses, they suit you so well
Glad to see that you liked the show, Magic Magy. I thought you might. I know quite a few people who do not like Sci-Fi or don't know much about Star Wars who have seen this show and still like it. I hope to see your reaction to all the episodes in the series. Season two especially has some episodes that are very interesting to fans who know the lore and history (but you don't have to know it to enjoy those episodes. It just enhances one's appreciation.).
This show is being created by the same person who directed the 1st two Iron Man movies, Jon Favreau. He is absolutely amazing when it comes to thinking outside the normalcy of things and adding humor to something that would otherwise be super-serious. This is probably the best show on right now and shows no signs of being anything less any time soon.
Which is why the very first name in the credits goes to Dave Filoni, the only person capable of putting Disney Star Wars back on the right track after his successes with both TCW and Rebels. Favreau is only connected to Star Wars through Disney and the MCU; Filoni IS Star Wars, has been with Lucasfilms for DECADES!
That droid is IG-11, same model that one othe bounty hunters that Darth Vader hire for hunt Han Solo in The Empire Strike Back, But really we only see IG-88 in one scene with one scene with others and among them the only one who we knew was Boba Fett. When you see IG-88 in Smpire Strike Back you think "what that thin droid can do? its ridiculous!". Well, this The Mandalorian episode they use IG-11 and now we can know how capable these droids are... so the next time we see The Empire Strike Back we are going to watch IG-88 in a really diferent way XD
It's about 5 years after episode 6. You will learn more about the mandalorian as we go along. I'm really looking forward to watch you on this journey. This will be fun. Oh yeah you fall more and more in love with baby Yoda every episode everybody did. ❤️💚☘️
There are multiple references and characters from the Clone Wars animated series, especially in season two. So while I would encourage you to watch it, I'm aware that committing to seven seasons of a show is a big thing. It's worth it, though. When you see the references and characters from the show is one of the best things about watching The Mandalorian.
All of the clones were based off of a mandalorian named Jango fett, who had a unaltered Clone as a son named Boba Fett. Boba is the bounty Hunter you see take Han after he is frozen!!! So that’s a cool fact for you!!!
I knew you would like this series Magy. I think it's actually better than the last few Star Wars movies. Glad you found the time to start watching The Mandalorian 👌😊
Without spoiling, Mandalorian story is after the 6 Lucasfilms😉☺!! But you must watch first the cartoons series before the Mando show, if not, you will not understand the Mandalorian storyline and you will be spoiled during watching the show. In others words, this is the true timeline canon of Star wars franchise : 1- Phantom Menace 2-Attack of the Clones 3-Revenge of the Sith 4- Solo story 5- Rogue One 6- A New Hope 7- Empire Strikes Back 8- Return of the Jedi 😊 And for the shows, my advice look the series and cartoons after or during the movies : 1- Clone Wars film~series 2- Bad Batch (very soon)😉😆 3- Rebels 4- Mandalorian!! Hope you will find your way and understanding in this greatest space opera of all time, Good watch Babe🤗✌🖖
The Mandolorian is set about 5 years after Return of The Jedi, you should also consider watching the Clone Wars and Rebels it will make sense why later in the Mandolorian series, great reaction videos
Now that you’ve started watching the Mando, we expect a video every day! This is placed after episode 6, Return of the Jedi. Before episode 7, The Force Awakens
Jumping right into mandalorian. Couldn't be more proud. You're going to love this. Buckle up. Can't wait to watch with you. Careful though You're going to want to binge all of them. ❤️💚☘️
"How is a droid so capable?" Because that's IG-11. He's an IG-series assassin droid. Vader hired IG-88 along with Boba Fett to track the Millennium Falcon in V.
This story takes place 5 years after Episode 6 Return of the Jedi. I love your reaction as usual Magy. Thank you for sharing. This is only the beginning so get ready.
Hi Magy. Seeing as Carl Weathers who is best known for playing Apollo Creed is in this episode. Can I suggest that you do a reaction video to the Rocky films at some point.
You will really enjoy this show that's for sure. It helps watching rebels and clone wars cartoons before this but it's not deal breakers. As for your surprise about males being eaten during mating season. That actually happens with quite a few animals and bugs on earth. Creepy but true
How do I say this politely: Is Bulgaria under a rock? I really do not understand how you or anyone else doesn't know Baby Yoda. Literally the pop culture darling of the last year.
@@Tekkarath There's a lot of "lore" on those two which are brought up in this show, especially the second season. Many people watching the show who haven't seen at least the clone wars have no idea who some of the characters are for the second season.
Hey Magy! Must watch Clone Wars before seeing season 2 of the Mandalorian! it will have more meaning and better understanding of some of the characters of the Mandalorian. Still waiting on your reaction on Episode 3.
If you haven't begun to watch the Clone Wars animated series, it's highly recommended you do. You are going to have many questions regarding the Mandalorians as this series and seasons continue, especially Season 2, which may lead you to some false impressions about them based on this show alone.
I would strongly advise watching Clone Wars and Rebels before you watch season 2. You probably don’t have to watch every single episode to benefit from it when watching season 2, but if you can get someone to put together a playlist of the “must watch” episodes of those series I think you’ll really appreciate season 2 much more than if you go in without watching any of those series.

6- A New Hope
7- Empire Strikes Back
8- Return of the Jedi 😊
And for the shows, my advice look the series and cartoons after or during the movies :
1- Clone Wars film~series
2- Bad Batch (very soon)😉😆
3- Rebels
4- Mandalorian!!
Hope you will find your way and understanding in this greatest space opera of all time, Good watch Babe🤗✌🖖

Yes you’re in the Journey of the Star Wars Universe of The Mandalorian!!! I have spoken...🙌
The Mandolorian is set about 5 years after Return of The Jedi, you should also consider watching the Clone Wars and Rebels it will make sense why later in the Mandolorian series, great reaction videos
Follow her on Instagram, guys. She's dope!
Now that you’ve started watching the Mando, we expect a video every day! This is placed after episode 6, Return of the Jedi. Before episode 7, The Force Awakens
Fun fact : The bounty hunter droïd is played by Taïka Waititi... the man who will supervise the new Star Wars Trilogy !
YAY! Finally! 😁 Magy ♥️s Baby Yoda! 🍼🤗
I have friends who were in this show!
Jumping right into mandalorian. Couldn't be more proud. You're going to love this. Buckle up. Can't wait to watch with you. Careful though You're going to want to binge all of them. ❤️💚☘️
It gets better with every episode!!! So good.
I think you are gonna love this series Magy!! This occurs after episode #6. I'm excited to see you watch the other episodes! Enjoy and keep smiling🤘🙂
"How is a droid so capable?"
Because that's IG-11. He's an IG-series assassin droid. Vader hired IG-88 along with Boba Fett to track the Millennium Falcon in V.
And R2-D2 is also a capable droid during the Clone Wars.
Yay! I've been hoping you'd react to the Mandalorian. Such a good show. You'll definitely enjoy it. I'm looking forward to more reactions from this!
It may actually be Yoda’s baby we are unsure as the only two known beings were yoda and yanny the man and woman of the species
Yaddle
Magy, your squeal reminded me of my Monsters Inc. yellow scream canister when it’s open. (Chuckling)
Finally Magy is watching the Mandalorian! Might want to brush up on Your Clone Wars & Rebels Ep. Makes an Already Good Show Great!
I am so happy you are about to go on this ride. I get to live it again :)
She is somehow even cuter with glasses.🥺
I am so happy! this is a great show, I hope you'll love it.
coincitdentally "Baby Yoda" is what fans are calling "the Kid"
and yes, he is cute.
Awesome show to watch. Got a lot of Star Wars to catch up on. I've watched this show 5 times now. Can't wait for more. Hope you like it!
Like millions of others she sees baby yoda and is hooked on the show
Really loved your reaction to "baby Yoda* I believe you will enjoy the series have a great one and be safe 🙂🤙🤙🤙
How do I say this politely: Is Bulgaria under a rock? I really do not understand how you or anyone else doesn't know Baby Yoda. Literally the pop culture darling of the last year.
Sorry to break it to you, buddy, but Star Wars is only big in North America.
@@thechristiandash That’s not true, Star Wars is just as popular in Europe(especially the UK) and Australia
by the way univers call this little cuteness baby yoda like you did we looooove him so much
U need to watch the credits. They're awesome
yee i love the 2 season of mandalorian
and I love your reaction 😬
You should watch this after watching clone Wars and rebels animated series
There's really only so much bad media a person can watch.
@@Tekkarath There's a lot of "lore" on those two which are brought up in this show, especially the second season. Many people watching the show who haven't seen at least the clone wars have no idea who some of the characters are for the second season.
I see a Magy video, I click, instant joy. 🤗
Welcome to the mandalorian xDDDD WE LOVE THIS SHOW Me n my mom. Season 3 CAN'T get here sooner
It's between episodes 6&7
It has been said it was six years after the second Death Star was destroyed.
The Moment you saw the Child🤗😂😂🌹🌹
this is the way
i love your reaction ❤
I love Magy's reaction.
Enjoyed that, but thanks for the scream when you saw baby yoda,i looked away for a second and jumped!

I love your hair and your smile. A beautiful human being
3:34 The cutest!
the mandalorian is set 5 years after the return of the jedi for the mandolorian you wil learn to know them ...THIS IS THE WAY lol
your laugh at 8:45 was so cute and freakin hilarious hahaha i love it!
I cant decide which is cuter. Baby Yoda, or Magy excited about baby Yoda? It's a toss up.
Its not Yoda just another member of the species. However calling the lil dude Baby Yoda is highly acceptible.
Great reaction Magy Really enjoyed this. Looking forward to the next one. Stay safe.
Baby Yoda cuter than you???? Almost but No! You're Cuter!!!! Yes, this is after Episode VI. You're going to have some fun with this show! 😘🌹❤️
Hey Magy! Must watch Clone Wars before seeing season 2 of the Mandalorian! it will have more meaning and better understanding of some of the characters of the Mandalorian. Still waiting on your reaction on Episode 3.
No long, drawn-out intro? Subscribed.
It is after Episode VI
If you haven't begun to watch the Clone Wars animated series, it's highly recommended you do. You are going to have many questions regarding the Mandalorians as this series and seasons continue, especially Season 2, which may lead you to some false impressions about them based on this show alone.
Clone wars is over 120 episodes it would take years to finish
@@jagosevatarion8822 years I watched it in months.
@@melkor3496 many youtubers watch one episode a week or something like that on series and many watch other series too which takes up time
@@jagosevatarion8822 Ah yep now I get you. Tho she doesn’t have to react and can just binge watch it.
it takes place 5 years after Episode 6
I would strongly advise watching Clone Wars and Rebels before you watch season 2. You probably don’t have to watch every single episode to benefit from it when watching season 2, but if you can get someone to put together a playlist of the “must watch” episodes of those series I think you’ll really appreciate season 2 much more than if you go in without watching any of those series.
You're in for one heck of a journey!!!
