Note that many, many Autistic people don't eat well, suffer tremendous stress, often don't get enough exercise, do not get outside enough and may have trouble communicating to NTs. Even those of us who can tell doctors what's going on, find that not all doctors take us seriously.
If I say please check on this part of my knee and the tech looks everywhere but the part of the knee I point to? Sometimes thinking you always know better, is the biggest deterrent from identifying the problem.

I'm an asperger as well. For 8 years I've problems with my stomach, also I can't loose weight anymore, I'm not fat, the opposite is the case, I'm five days a week in the gym, but I'll always have a fat stomach, even though you can see the muscles behind and you can see, that there is almost no fat existing. I can't go under 80 kilogramm, I didn't eat for 14 days and was at 79,8kg. Before I was at 80,3. It makes no sense.
I was thinking that I may be so stressed all the time, that I can't lose weight anymore.

I found I was unable to process Wheat and gluton. I eventually have eliminated all the things that bother my system from my diet. It works. This had been plaguing me for decades, People insist on pushing foods they like on you. Refined carbs and sugar are addictive. It wasn't easy at first but it was worth it. It stands to reason that if we are sensitive people in terms of our senses, that the rest of our systems will also be inclined to be sensitive. Stress can also severely effect the digestive system. That alone can give someone diarrhea.

8 yrs old video and yet I don’t think any doctor in the whole world could explain this all better. Kudos Cleveland Clinic! Kudos to the top notch interviewer too 🙏🏼

Would you mind enabling the automatic closed captioning for this video? I know it won't be perfect, but I can't listen to it and would like to know some of what's said in this video. Thanks :)

Gut acidosis > bad bacteria infestation > leaky gut > brain temporarily affected

I am high-mid functioning and only got diagnosed in adulthood and have always had constipations problems that doctors never seem to know what to do about. I can go over a week without going to the bathroom. I have tried diets, exercise, medication, and nothing solves it. It's very frustrating.

I have Asperger’s and get food poisoning very easily. I attributed it to having no appendix. This is a black swan running my life.

I suspect it's more about medication and liver toxicity form medication. If that isn't it, I would look at your diet and if you are producing bile and have healthy gut bacterial It takes good bacteria to fight the harmful bacteria in your body. This is why anti bacterial soaps are bad. The Appendix really is a central issue.

I developed a duodenal ulcer in 5th grade due to the bullying caused as a response to my autistic behavior. I also had developed a suicide plan by then. Some fun for a 5th grader, huh?

My healthiest diet is Keto. I believe, that we need to follow, more ancient diets instead of processed foods, sugar and grains. We need healthy fats, protein, herbs, vegetables and berries. And good clean water! It makes a world of difference. Gluten does give me problems, and I need extra Vit B1 for this. intolerance. I can take dairy even though I am lactose intolerant, if it is high fat. This would be the kind of dairy my ancestors would have consumed. AUTADHD/ IBS... I need lots of VIt. B,D and a rich supply of minerals. We need to have our ancient foods.
