For Cosmo and Sprout, cosmos bracelet goes on his right hand and sprouts on his left, so I'm guessing because their twisted forms match (sprouts ichor LEFT hand) and twisted Cosmo's right ichor hand plus the ichor on his head showing a taller figure that must've gotten it on him, as their trinkets connect and show dandy, which do explode into a bunch of ichor, which might be why and how they are twisted (and how they're matching)

For Cosmo and Sprout, cosmos bracelet goes on his right hand and sprouts on his left, so I'm guessing because their twisted forms match (sprouts ichor LEFT hand) and twisted Cosmo's right ichor hand plus the ichor on his head showing a taller figure that must've gotten it on him, as their trinkets connect and show dandy, which do explode into a bunch of ichor, which might be why and how they are twisted (and how they're matching)

My theory is that the buffs are related to how the toons feel about the trinkets,ex:if the bow gives speed,it means poppy may be really happy wearing it,representing speed,same with Boxten,but it makes him have a lower skill check,possibly because he is thinking about the trinkets,as said on the conversation with poppy,toodles is a toddler,so the plush may give her confidence,speeding her up (this is just a theory)

For sprout and cosmo i think dandy gave them the bracelets but dandy put ichor in the bracelets and when they put it on,it exploded with ichor
