That’s why when I just started with chess, I would often times underpromote to rook and mate with to rooks instead of rook and queen.
I think it is worth pointing out that if the Black king moves to a3, the White rook can still check on a2, as KxR is yet another stalemate.
Im a pro at getting stalemate. As soon as ik i cant win i start pinning all my pawns and harass their knights with my king

It's got nothing to do with color or the king. The rule is: "It's stalemate if there's no legal move for the player whose turn it is".

I saw this at the very second white king was on b3, but then here is the thing, I'm stuck at 1000 and I can't even make it to 1100🥲
