try gathering storm (in place of second bell). you should have enough flat and added cold to make it proc shatters, and it gives you a bit more move speed through packs.
@DonTheCrown ive seen u said this in your guide "Crit Damage on weapons appears to perhaps be bugged to MULTIPLY your total crit damage and is very powerful" this is because weapons dont get increase, they get flatt rolls. which means base crit dmg is 150 but with a 20% roll on weapon, it is 170, then your increases following up!

@ yeah I saw. To me it’s nothing short of disgraceful because filters should only add fancy stuff and nice-to-have but the game should already be 100% playable without them. They could have simply implemented them from all they learned from PoE1 and recently Last Epoch. But we can’t even see what is common, magic, rare and unique in ourinventory, so what do we expect?
I started with your leveling build and then started looking at china builds and realize this is commonly used there already, basically ice trigger electric and electric trigger ice, max their quality for bigger area effects. Drop chayula, use charge staff and combat frenzy. And also most impt is to just get the passive for 1 health and immune to chaos, switching from pure evasion to evade + ES, diff is hugeee... way tankier!

I may be wrong on this but I think you want conduction on Herald of Ice, not overcharge. Doesn't overcharge increase the strength of the shock itself ? (20 vs 37.5) but I don't think it affects shock chance.
Nice video! I've been using this interaction on a Stormweaver for a couple weeks because of the free shock, even made a video on it myself a week ago and had been spreading it around the Path of Exile Discords. The goal was to get it out there so people can enjoy it and that's what happened! One note, Overcharge is making the shock stronger, you'll probably want to put Conduction there instead to increase the shock chance as you suggested in the video.
Three Dragons helm and Hands of Wisdom and action makes an insane cold monk if your already lightning spec. Those proc almost every enemy with Combat Frenzy and Resonance.
Can you do a video just breaking down your skills and how they are getting to the numbers? Ing belt no doubt is a huge bit for the 240k ice strike, but even prior to that belt, you had like 190k, I have the same build, but lower level like 84 atm, and my staff is 100 less dps, im just wonderin what makes my in town 50k ice strike so lacking compared to yours
Been following your guide with polcirklen and it's awesome! although i can't wrap my head around how you have 100k more dmg on ice strike than me? currently lvl 88 with 80k dmg ice strike and a 288-560 slicing quarterstaff.

If you read his comment in that section "Dagger stab" is not a skill - Its just a second bell - What you need to do is UN-equipt your first bell then use an uncut skill gem to make another bell so you can then have two bells inside your skills tree "or w/e the heck its called" - It took me a hot minute to understand it as well but its quite simple once you read the comments he has listed for it it should all make sense assuming you understand what I am saying!- Also one last note - If you plan to use two bells I'd suggest making a macro on your mouse that pops both bells at the same time! Really saved me alot of time when pushing out fast dps >:) - Best of luck!

I’m trying your build and having a blast till T14 and 15 above, I keep dying randomly by on-death effects because ice strike alway get me in a dangerous position, I’m also having mana issue even though I have mana on kill and clarity. Should I take CI and build an ES instead of stacking ER?
CI might require too much passive point investment, since with 1hp you'll get stunned and frozen super easily, so you have to get stun and freeze resist nodes or you'll get chain stunned/chain frozen and die. Mana issues will solve themselves if you get more mana on your gear and drink a mana flask from time to time, since from what i've experienced more mana = more regen but i might be wrong.
Don you really deserve a crown. My Build was okay, I didnt had much trouble but I wasn't happy with the clearspeed. I didn't really die that much and I also got around 150% Rarity on my gear since I thought during the campaign that this might be something I want on my gear. I had no trouble in maps at all, I simply wasn't happy with the speed. Since my Build was kinda close to yours I just tried it out. I dont even have or had the ring for example but my Gear is okay and its still blasting a lot, but that my gear is actually okay is something I realized only after I switched to your build. I was upgrading my already decent gear because I thought thats the problem, maybe I just need to blast more. No, that was not the case. I kinda lost some currency to upgrade my already good gear just to realize the problem was the Skill Tree and the Skill + Support Gems. Now my DPS is doubled, I kinda fucked up my Skilltree before and didnt realize. I think especially my tree got fucked up because I am a beginner, so people like you are truly a win for the game. i got a question regarding switching to this build vs the porcirkeln ring version. currently i don't have a 2nd ring to change out the porcirkeln with nor an ingenuity belt in my budget, is it still worth to use double herald setup with the ring or do they cancel each other out in a weird way?
It's SO hard to get a good chest with chaos and that much evasion. Even with currency handy.. I got one with 1725 evasion, but that leaves me literally only 10 spirit short (cry) of being able to attach Clarity in the Grim Feast... What should I do? Leave out Clarity? Or do you think I should leave out something else, instead?
@@DonTheCrown Even with just chaos/evasion, I followed build completely, and just get hit so often. Unsure why. With the skills boosting my evasion, I'm above the 50% minimum you noted to be above, but still getting hit/killed a lot. Trying to recheck everything again, today, to see if I missed something, but aside from having lesser hp (2000hp/500es/90-90-90- 78 res's), I am having trouble seeing it.
ngl been playing this build for a week now, and GOD DAM IS SO SATISFYING, put some of my twists ofc on it, a tip: try using Hand Of Wisdom and action gloves, my dps added like 50% or even more, i know gloves are kinda expensive, but worth it
you can anoint an amulet with a “notable” node from passive tree. if you alt over these nodes, you’ll see three distill potions on it. you get these from delirium nodes on maps.

Two questions: 1. This "double-herald-to-self-chain" technique does nothing for bosses. How do you do bosses? 2. Have you considered Gemling Legionnaire to use two of the same support gem?
I tried this but it just wasn't working. Had to go back to the ring. I don't know why but I have about half your DPS even when you're using you "bad" weapon, which my weapon absolutely clears. So I'm clearly doing something very wrong but I can't figure out what it is. You quickly scrolled through your skills and your Ice Strike DPS was 240K??? Mine tops out at 150K. Here's my weapon: 293-451 Physical Crit Chance: 14.85% Attacks Per second: 1.6 Physical rune and Elemental damage rune (I want to fix these... hopefully some day we can) 129% physical Adds 43-59 Phys 119% elemental Damage 3.35% crit 14% attack speed

how did you get doomsayer without connecting the nodes ? doesnt make sense without explaining how to get a node thats completely out of range without getting a jewel that allows you to get a node within a small radius ? Please help

Using Elemental Invocation triggers a socketed spell to cast. If you don't have a spell socketed then there is nothing to trigger and it will do nothing
Loving your content! Cold infusion isn’t nearly as effective on weapons that have fire or lightning elemental damage rolls and can actually lower your sheet dps on those weapons. In situations like mine where cold infusion is actually a detriment to my ice strike, you can use cold mastery to gain a ~5% dps increase and not have to deal with the mana increase from close combat. It’ll also free up the gem for herald of thunder.
Is there a way on Mobalytics to see the skill tree investment over incremental stages like Maxroll does? Think your skill tree is fleshed out to 97 or 98? Guessing just shave jewels or crit damage nodes?

Hey man, Ty for the update. I have a similar build with similar dps on weapon, but only 83k dps on ice strike. What secondary gear would be mandatory to push it for 200? Came from witch with 320 snipers dps and I am having a hard time.
Trying to play as the cold monk, currrently level 44. My Ice Strike DPS is 1133, Tempest Flurry 851. Trying to beat forge master in the Molten Vault. He has vulnerability to cold, but I deal way more damage with Tempest Flurry than with Ice Strike. Don't understand how cold damage works. Every time I find out that I kill enemies way faster with Tempest Flurry and lightinng, than with my cold damage abilities (which, according to their DPS numbers, must hit way harder). Something is broken in the game.
I have so many questions lol Let’s first start with how where you able to spec doomslayer without going down the passive tree? Second should I spec increased freeze build up? Because using ice strike or tempest flurry barely gets to freeze and I can trigger herald of thunder almost all the time but not ice

Why do you put Ice Bite before Cold Infusion on Ice Strike ? I understand it's 35% danage instead of 25% but you dont always have it on, for example on bosses

Was wondering the same thing. Also displaying the DPS while in combat is confusing. It would be more useful if we see it in hideout and without belt.

That is almost certainly not due to your GPU. That's almost always a CPU issue. POE is massively CPU bound

dont try to get 'everything' from your chest armour? chaos res is a PREMIUM stat and I got extremely lucky to whittle it on there

Its an anointed amulet. Basically it gives you the node without having to path there

think Id rather run Crescendo instead of a +3% dmg +13% mana cost gem

yup just shave stuff down that you dont need next, you kinda need to adjust depend on your own needs
Any reason why you keep supports on the quarterstaff skill? Just for easy swap?

How does you get to that damage i have follow the build an im onley on 68k dmg i don't understand how to get from 68k til 240k
He is showing the DPS while in combat and with the Ingenuity belt. I want to know what his Ice Strike DPS is while in hideout without the belt.
previous guide without belt I was just shy of 200k in hideout

Dude how the hell do you have over 200k damage on ice strike? ive copied your build and i barely hit 150k in combat and on idle im at 75k. What am I missing?

note that when he was clearing he did not have the 200k damage so you dont need it
I'd bet I have a better weapon, better jewels, and more levels. Also quality your gems up.

Hi are you triggering the two heralds with just your basic attack? Wouldn't this be more awesome if you complemented your ice strike monk build so now it does massive AOE?

How does Herald of Thunder do Ice damage? Glaciation does increase freeze buildup, but Herald of Thunder still only does Lightning damage right?

Dude, how to boost staff's dmg to numbers that hight? Look for staffs with base numbers high around 200+ or is there any other trick?
how do you have all those skills with no spirit on gear?
invoker has an ascendancy node that gives you spirit for ev or es on chest

Hey man, Ty for the update. I have a similar build with similar dps on weapon, but only 83k dps on ice strike. What secondary gear would be mandatory to push it for 200? Came from witch with 320 snipers dps and I am having a hard time.
would you recommend this change while still using the polcirkeln?
This change is to replace pol so you really don't need it anymore but pol is cleaner in it's clear but without it we can stack rarity
Where do the herald's damage multipliers come from?
My multipliers are low, only the Ice Striker's are high.
they are weapon attacks, the harder your attacks hit in general the harder they will hit
On a 4 link on herald of ice, should i prioritize overcharge or innvervate?

Trying to play as the cold monk, currrently level 44. My Ice Strike DPS is 1133, Tempest Flurry 851. Trying to beat forge master in the Molten Vault. He has vulnerability to cold, but I deal way more damage with Tempest Flurry than with Ice Strike. Don't understand how cold damage works. Every time I find out that I kill enemies way faster with Tempest Flurry and lightinng, than with my cold damage abilities (which, according to their DPS numbers, must hit way harder). Something is broken in the game.
Your ice strike DPS seems very low. At 44 mine was about 4k DPS. And I think that was pretty mid.

Second should I spec increased freeze build up? Because using ice strike or tempest flurry barely gets to freeze and I can trigger herald of thunder almost all the time but not ice

My rage emerald doesnt work inside my passive tree, i dont seem to gain any rage. when i should be gaining 1 per hit. i also didnt gain any on my wep that gives +1. i think bugged?

I don't get why you have 5x the sheet damage on herald and 10x on ice strike when I have a similar staff and similar passive tree... what am I doing wrong?

Why do you put Ice Bite before Cold Infusion on Ice Strike ? I understand it's 35% danage instead of 25% but you dont always have it on, for example on bosses

I'm using your normal Polcirkeln build and, from the looks of it, I should only transition to this once I get an Ingenuity. Is that correct?
You can swap beforehand if you want to use rarity rings or something. Ingenuity is not required
