Nice set up. Organization is well worth the time saved. If you can't find it when you need it, you don't own it.

I have a readyroom. My wife rolls here eyes but she never complains. I have all my gear hung up and prepared with mags and gear. I love it.

Very well thoughtout room, the staging table is critical for a quick visual before heading out, as well as for the AAR for when you get back.

Good stuff and I also enjoyed Randall’s video. While I Do have a “ready room” I’ve mainly tried to keep one or two large transportable containers that have my main stuff organized for either staging or the small possiblity of having to relocate in a moments notice

Very nice Jay! Its easy to show a finished project. How do you go about starting that level of neat and sensible organization? Could you do a vid on that thought process or idea? I struggle my arce off regarding accesible, secure, organization.. it causes problems with the wife cause all she see's is a room of stuff.. and all I see are treasures!!

Thanks! Great question really. I use to keep everything in big totes and it was a pain to pull stuff out every time I was heading into the field. So I was looking at solutions and found the whole idea for a "tactical gear locker" where I saw pictures of wooden gear closets and I thought to myself that I could make one of those. So I made the center wall cabinet and added a gun and ammo locker to the side of it. That led to another cabinet. I also had a bar that I had built 20 years ago and that became the spot that I store the bins, clothes hanging up, etc. It then doubled as a work table too. Then the center table was a wooden gate that was getting scrapped that I thought would make for a good table. I just had to be creative with everything.
I did all this while fixing up an area next to it for my teenagers to hang out, watch movies, play games, etc... So it was a win-win.

If your wife runs your house that's your own fault. I have been with my wife 24 years. No joint accounts. She might complain but she knows it goes in one ear and out the other. I spend my money how I want and she spends hers as she wants of course it helps that are stuff is paid for except for her 2 new cars but I don't make those payments that's her doing.
