Let your rpm drop when shifting from reverse into forward gear. Not doing so sends huge shock through the gearbox. It's most likely the cause of the damage. Enjoyed the video, and panicked when I saw your mate get stuck under the jetty!

Here I am going through Andrew's Videos, looking for Levi and his adventures. RIP Levi, you were the bestest of good boys.
great vid,as always...new adventure without the frills and fancy stuff. Real time situations from a multi talented dude! Give your pal,Levi a co-star billing the next time.
That is one of the big differences between you, Andy, and many other people. You saw rash one time out at that spot. The next time you are out there, you go clean it up. In fact, you grab the very full trash can and bring that back to be emptied. You are a good man, sir.
Love your attitude,,, looks like you got a happy life going on there... That's what it's all about... Thanks for sharing.
Andrew, that "Adapt Outdoors" organization looks like a very good organization that helps people with disabilities to enjoy the outdoors. Glad you got your boat fixed! Looking forward to seeing your video on the rebuilding of your new boat!
Let your rpm drop when shifting from reverse into forward gear. Not doing so sends huge shock through the gearbox. It's most likely the cause of the damage.
Enjoyed the video, and panicked when I saw your mate get stuck under the jetty!
Water intrusion didn't help either. I check my gear oil after every two trips, and change it once a season. You get paranoid after blowing one up, and having to pay big money for a new one.
Dude that boat flies! Definitely a calm water boat lol it’s very cool looking too. Levi’s the best. Thanks for all your most enjoyable videos.
The drone footage over the water is stunning!
Good job cleaning the island Andrew! That's just awesome.
Wow, was first very nervous for you, the Hudson can be very dangerous below the dam. Then was very worried about Levi. Phew! More vids more often please.ty
Nice job with that motor Andrew. Thanks for the beautiful scenery, cleaning up someone elses garbage as well. 🐶👍👍👍🇺🇸
Every time I see you use that orange wrench it reminds me of the tiger camo from call of duty
Two big thumbs up and respect for cleaning up on that island where people left there junk behind glad someone out there like you cares and will do something about it.
levi almost drowns one second, the next he is wagging his tail again
Know how Levi felt. One night, after going from bar to taxi to loose boarding steps to San Diego Harbor with boat and dock closing above me, I had to swim under the boat out into the harbor (one click above swimming in your local sewer pond).
Jack Winand he’s a Labrador
Levi almost drowns, and one second later, he is wagging his tail
@@googleguy5700 a loooong time ago in high school we got Scuba certified. For the final bit of the class, we headed out to somewhere around the San Diego Harbor. It was not quite the same as the clear HS pool or the Jacques Cousteau shows on TV. Dark, oily, seaweed filled horror movie of an outing lmao.
Levi almost drowns. One second later he is wagging his tail again.
Levi is just chillin . haha glad he's alright . Impressed by your shop man. you seem to always be able to make things work
i got so much anxiety when levi went under the dock
I REALLY LOVE LEVI he would be the calmest coolest dog on youtube. Proud of you Andrew taking care to keep the environment clean well done : )
I need to go out on the boat on this beautiful Sunday morning here in Florida!
Ok, my heart stopped when Levi didn't pop up. He was hunkered down on that passage back to the dock, anxious to get off. Relieved you sorted that one out Andrew.
This guy is a legend.. both in temper management and skill level.
amen
Excellent temper management
Whoa that was scary for a moment when Levi went under the dock! Good work Andrew repairing ol' merc and picking up all the trash!
When you are done boating for the year drain the oil out of the lower unit and put in new oil . The old oil may have water in it that freezes over winter and will bust the case. Happy boating.
Love your video n your old partner. Very nice spending quality time with him!
Still hoping he starts building more things on the property 🤦🏾♂️
hes gonna need some garage space for all the watercraft and snowmobiles
Agreed
Even if he just fixing more things around the property 🤦🏾♂️
I think he should build more garage space etc
Facts
Triggering some serious flashbacks to growing up in the 'dacks, with dogs, LP gas fridges, outhouses, a hand pump on the kitchen sink instead of faucets and outboard motors (Dad: "G_D_ Mercurys!"). Thankfully long before the Jetski.
Thanks man, seriously great footage. I know right where this is and we're blessed to live in this part of the country, eh?
Good adventure. Suppose Levi didn’t expect that!
Another awesome repair and fault elimination. I'm glad I'm not the only one that date Mark's batteries etc
