I personally think dexcom is way better than Medtronic. I found it to be more accurate. My mom has been type 1 since 12 years old. I manage her diabetes technology for her. She uses the tslimx2 pump with the dexcom. But used medtronic mini med for years. I’m interested in the omnipod and if you like it and how well it works with the dexcom.
Been T1 for 19 years and I have the Tslim with Dexcom integrated. It has helped my numbers so much! A1C went from a 10 to 5.5 with these two. It is very overwhelming to keep up with everything at the beginning but just keep going and it will become second nature. Best thing I ever did for my diabetes! Wish you the best of luck with it!
My daughter has been type 1 diabetic since she was 11. She is now 27, pregnant with her first baby and has had to have the insulin pump fitted because her blood sugars have caused her to be hospitalised twice! She is 32 weeks and I can’t wait for her baby girl to arrive so I can relax and stop worrying about my grown up baby! I hope the pump helps you Devin, diabetes can be rough but you will get there ❤ xx
Love you guys so much! I am the oldest in my family (21) and you guys are like the older siblings I wish I had. Thank you for being such great role models and for advocating for T1D! I will be praying for you Devin, and I hope you are able to find peace with this soon!
I am so happy for you! I love my Dexcom. I have also been diabetic for 3.5 years and just recently started the T-slim pump at the beginning of the year. It has been a life changer. I have been able to control my sugars so much better and avoid lows.
Good job Devin👍believe it or not you motivate me every time to persevere living life with a chronic illness. Hunter is an absolute boss in supporting you through this. 👏
I was diagnosed in 2015, I was managing okay and then my A1c wouldn't come down from 8 almost 9. I was feeling depressed not being able to control my blood sugar, find something that worked and then 2 years ago I got my Dexcom and joined the Level 2 group through my insurance and it has been so helpful. My coach has been such a good teacher and support, she showed me how to count my carbs, tips, reading material that actually helps. I've so much better, there's still things I struggle, but my A1c is at 5.9. Thank you for sharing your experience. I don't feel so lonely! Take care!
I literally can’t help but smile through this entire video you guys bring so much Joy to all those people around you even me!!! ❤ thank you for being awesome 🤩
My sister is a type one diabetic and she just now started a pump. She has a Dexcom G6 for her CGM and she just now got an OmniPod 5 for her pump. They’ve worked amazing so far. She absolutely loves them
Hey Devin!! I’ve had diabetes for about 12 years now and I had the Medtronic pump for years and finally switched to a t slim about a year or so ago with the Dexcom, I’ve heard a lot of recalls are being made because Medtronic pumps have been known to give you an excess amount of insulin which has caused some deaths which is very scary! The t-slim has been wonderful although I understand that having a tubing connected at all times can be a hassle I wish you luck and hopefully the omnipod and Dexcom works if not I suggest maybe doing a lot of research into both the T-slim and minimed systems
Current Dexcom G6 & OmniPod 5 user and it is life changing! I was very bad with compliance until I found this system.. havent felt this “normal” since my diagnosis at 15! (almost 22 now) So thankful to have found this channel.. 💘
i literally love these vids y’all are chill but still so entertaining like y’all are just a blessing 💗🌸i love watching y’all it makes me feel so happy and just all y’all relationship y’all are just perfect
I hope that having the pump helps you manage your diabetes much better and you feel better about being pregnant again. ❤️ Ivey is the cutest child ever
SO EXCITED FOR YOU!! I hope you love the sensor!!! It’s seriously life changing. T1 can be so consuming in all aspects of life but you have such a great attitude towards it and I so admire that :)
Ivey is so cute. Please get a gate around that pool. So dangerous to have little ones with an open pool like that. She will be the age soon where she's able to unlock a door and go outside. Just a word of warning. Love the content guys.
My husband is T1D and uses Dexcom and a tandem pump. They work together so the pump autocorrects based off of your blood sugar. Regardless of what you use, you will love having those tools to help make things easier :)
I'm on the dexcom g6 (about to be upgraded to the g7) when my insurance approves it & i'm on the omnipod also it's a great combo. I wouldn't know what to do without them, honestly. My low on my dexcom is 65 also. Also you can get the dexcom g6 app on your phone and you won't need the receiver. That's what i do because i can't stand carrying around multiple devices.
Aww Ivey is so precious 💕 you wanna come to my room so sweet.. Hunter yes coffee ☕ is a big part of my mornings, Deven glad you got your Dexcom ... Happy Easter 🐣 🐰 Ivey ❣️ you guys have a blessed Sunday .
What!? How am I just now learning you’re a Type 1! 🤦🏻♀️ I’ve been watching you guys for awhile and just love you!! I’m a Type 1 and my Dexcom/Tandem combo has made a world of difference. ❤️ Rooting for you!
Aw I remember moving to the pump was so overwhelming for me in the beginning, but I’ve now had my MiniMed Medtronic pump for 17 years (a few different versions of it) and it’s worked super well for me throughout 🤗 the Medtronic customer service is also really good (at least in the UK) :) best of luck with whichever pump you end up with! xx
Thank you for taking us along your journey! I hope the pump is helpful and easy to use! My nephew has type 1 and uses a pump and my sister says it’s a game changer. Also, very cool tetelestai shirt, Hunter! I hope y’all have a great Easter. He is risen!!
Devinnnnn you have a beautiful voice!! But I would’ve freaked out too if I was told I had to do that😂😂 God gave you a beautiful voice and don’t forget it!! God bless y’all!
Dealing with insurance is definitely the biggest pain in the butt with having T1D. Been T1 since I was 2 in 1995 and will celebrate year 28 in July! I have an Omnipod 5 + Dexcom G6 but was on Medtronic from age 12-29. Love having a tubeless pump now! Best of luck! Diabetes SUCKS but the community is AMAZING!
I got a pump when I got pregnant! It made it so much easier to deal with my diabetes, it was one less thing to deal with. I have the Omni pod and love it! ❤️
My son turned Type 1 Diabetic in ‘96 and I turned in ‘71 due to having the measles and in ‘96 he had the measle immunization shot and he turned diabetic after that. He’s on the pump, but I’m still on the needle and use the Libre Sensor and it works off my iPhone. I love that over pricking my fingers all the. I hate when they run short or don’t have them at all. We rely on them to live, but so many people are diabetic now and supply can’t meet the demand. Take care and I hope you like your new pump!!🤗😍🥰💖
Insulin and dexcom are life changing. I'm still waiting for my youngest to be eligible for a pump. My oldest is 8.5 and has been diagnosed since he 15 months old. My youngest just turned 3 and was diagnosed at 23 months. I understand the insurance struggle
We have to get our supplies through the mail from different pharmacies because we live in a small town and our pharmacies don’t keep anything except my son’s insulin. Our dexcom supplies come from AIM and our Omnipod is coming from Ken Glover pharmacy. I’m in South Alabama as well 😊
yesss, medtronic and their pumps are great! i’ve been a type one diabetic since I was 4 and have had a pump since I was 6 and love it. it is so useful and helpful. i currently use the minimed 670G and definitely recommend it🥰
T1D here with a pump (Tslim x2) and a dexcom. I found that physical pharms like walgreens never have it. I ended up going to a distributor Edgepark. They are the mainstay for all diabtic supplies. Pumps, dexcoms, etc. Glad to see that you did get it though. If you have any questions about pumps, dexcom, etc I have been a T1D for 40 years so feel free to ask I've seen it all
My husband loves his dexcom. His meter let's him know when his sugar is high or low, His sensor lasts 10 days and the transmitter 3 months. Good luck with this journey.
Just an FYI - if you call your insurance co. they usually have "preferred providers" for Dexcom supplies and they mail you your package of supplies direct to your door (usually every 90 days) and if you have a co-pay the insurance company will just charge a credit card. I have used the Dexcom G6 for monitoring my blood sugars and OmniPod insulin pumps and it is all sent by mail. My endocrinologist makes sure my scripts are sent in after my quarterly blood tests (A1C) so I actually never have to go anywhere or touch a script... God Bless and best wishes for you and family!
One I wanted to cry with you when he told you. Absolutely not hunner. Two I definitely skipped through the singing girl I couldn’t I just imagined you actually having to do it ahhhhhh I’d cryyyy too
Hey Devin, I have a suggestion which is to get some RNA reset liquid magnesium. I’m not saying that it will cure your diabetes but it most definitely will help regulate your sugar levels and metabolism. I bought some and it even helped me fast for longer than usual without feeling absolutely HORRIBLE. God bless!
I definitely am one that has to have coffee to function. It’s my fave part of my morning is that first sip. Also, I see you sunglasses Hunter, have you ever looked at the Blenders sunglasses? I have several pair. I love them. They have a ton of the style you have on too in fun colors. Just a thought.

Just so you know, you can have your dexcom connected to your phone instead of the device it comes with and your hubby can also get alerts. I'll be shopping & my low alert will go off and w/in seconds my husband will call me & ask me if I'm treating it yet.😊
I love my Dexcom! You'll be able to connect it to your phone so you won't need to carry the separate receiver if you don't want to. Omnipod didn't work for me because my body needs too much insulin and I was having to change it every other day!
the fact that Ivey is so sweet .... my puts of finger bc on the phone. and she gets quiet. and then when mom got off the phone she ask if mom wants to play in the play room with her lol ... I love her
Oh, wow! I can't believe how smart Ivey is! I've never seen a baby that young be able to play I spy like that and I've worked at daycares and as a preschool aide for years. Coffee is a must every single day. Just black with some stevia. When I got sober and joined AA, I quickly found my love of ☕. 😊
Paying everything works out for you. I work in the pharmaceutical business and there are so many new products coming out all the time. Don’t settle if the system does not make you happy! 10:50
Ivey is so smart and has the cutest personality. Her wanting to play i spy was too precious 💖💖
Yesssss❤
The fact that Ivey understands the concept of eye spy and she actually plays it correctly is wild she’s a genius 😮💨
Yesss❤😊
Pumping is the best thing that ever happened to my diabetes management!! You’re going to love having a pump!
Awe thank you for the encouragement!!! what pump are you on?!

Y’all are so much and little ivy is so cute! I hope y’all have a new kid soon❤️❤️
Using a pump was a massive change for my daughter. She’s got the t slim that works with the dexcom and it’s great.
My husband had the Mini Med and loved it. It did wonders for his sugar control. I hope you have just as good of results with whatever you go with.

God bless!
Can never start the day without coffee 😆 May God continue to bless your beautiful growing family, take care and stay well n safe! ❤
You will like the pump. My wife started using the pump a few months ago, last labs was showing her A1C the lowest it's been in years.
i missed seattle sx and i was so sad have a good time guys!
Gob Bless The Family!
Oh my heart, Ivey is precious .🥹
I definitely am one that has to have coffee to function. It’s my fave part of my morning is that first sip. Also, I see you sunglasses Hunter, have you ever looked at the Blenders sunglasses? I have several pair. I love them. They have a ton of the style you have on too in fun colors. Just a thought.
Supercross is literally the most fun. I love to take my kiddos!
Is there any way that you could sometime do a video of anxiety that you dealt with and how you got through it and things you did to help? I have been in a real bad slump the past 2 weeks with anxiety and panic attacks everyday and I find that it helps when you hear other ppl talking about it and things that helped them out. Just an idea I had :) love your videos though. You guys are so funny
Hunter repping the JS7 brand.. NECK BURN!!!!
I am a huge fanboy of supercross/motorcross.
If you come across this, who is your favorite 250/450 rider?
Love the channel, and appreciate how you treat your wife and kiddo. Set the standard for this lost generation of men.
Yes will you please do a video on the pump? I find out Monday if I have type 1 diabetes 😢
Iveys vocabulary is crazy advanced! I have twins right about her age & they are nowhere near that amount of words yet. She talks about like my 4 year old!
Hi Devin! I work in medical device and it was so weird to hear you talking about Medtronic! It’s a crossover of my worlds. Hope you’re doing well! Bless y’all
having a 10-20 minute nap at work resets your body clock also you feel better after
You’re going to love the Dexcom! I’ve had mine a year and a half and I can’t believe I didn’t try it sooner.
Also- you don’t need the little thing that came with it. You can just use the app on your phone 💜💜
Hi guys from West Virginia. Love your channel!!! I just had to go to three different pharmacies for my daughter's meds 😩😵
hiiii!! Thanks so much!!! It can be such a hassle. I think I’ll call around first the next time 😅😅
@@Thecordlefamily good idea!!!
I love her
Ivey is adorable 🥰 she's so smart
Hi hunnies, new subscriber here!💕 Adore you all!
Oh and I agree-10-15 min naps are where it’s at!😊
Oh, wow! I can't believe how smart Ivey is! I've never seen a baby that young be able to play I spy like that and I've worked at daycares and as a preschool aide for years.
Coffee is a must every single day. Just black with some stevia. When I got sober and joined AA, I quickly found my love of ☕. 😊
I hope y'all get a gate for that pool 😅 it's beautiful but makes me so nervous
Paying everything works out for you. I work in the pharmaceutical business and there are so many new products coming out all the time. Don’t settle if the system does not make you happy! 10:50
Your daughter is so adorable!
I love you guys. You are so funny
Omg I recently started using a pump too! I used insulin pens for about 3 years
