  • Origami Teapot pouring tea into a cup
wonderful model designed by Tomohiro Tachi
presented with the kind permission of the author
    by Peter Stein, August 2012
folded from a square sheet of paper
it uses a 16 by 16 grid (you can start the video at 4:25 if you know how to fold the grid)
Creasepattern found on Mr. Tachi´s website:
    www.tsg.ne.jp/T...
    photo on flickr: www.flickr.com/...
the youtube channel of Mr. Tachi:
    www.youtube.com...
Do not use paper that is too soft (like I did in the video), it will not keep the creases so well. Copypaper works well, wetfolding recommended (do not dampen the paper too much for the boxpleating technique)
Watch my video on the bottle and glas developed from this nice model.
    happy folding!

This was such a cute model. Surprisingly a lot simpler than I thought.

His name is pronounced 'Tatchi', not 'Taki'.

Thank you very much for your comment. You are absolutely right! When producing the video I did not know the correct pronounciation - I was told afterwards, but did not want to redo the video...
