    These videos are GREAT! Good friend had the TerraCrusher and it was a tough truck. He got me into this whole thing. I had the XXX-NT for a while. It was fun but I sold it to buy a 4WD ST and still have it. Old school! On its 2nd motor but still a blast to bomb around the yard and up and down the street does about 45mph. Great hobby.

      totally agree!! thanks! I've been looking for a good shape terra crusher for a long time, pretty rare to find on eBay now. It was a better truck than the T-maxx of the time, although never as popular. I'll show everyone why it's special soon.

      exactly! current brushless models are great too, but these old nitros are very accessible today and still provide very good performance. nitros themselves have basically remained the same in terms of power and speed, so we are not loosing much by getting these vintage ones.

    Great content buddy. Definitely added to my rc playlist. I like learning about nitros.

      same here man!! You saw that Tamiya Nitro Terra crusher I recently got? That thing was beyond cool back when it came out. So many interesting things to talk about with that one. I rem back then the HPI savage 21 first came out, and it was sooooo slow, this was faster if I rem correctly.

      totally, me too!! What do you have? gotta get a t-maxx, don't have one of those yet. From what I rem the t-maxx used to always piss me off years ago, lol. That damn trans always had issues.

    The tape around the pullstart sting is there so the handle of the pullstart sticks out the body for easy use.

      ye man!!! This is probably my all time favorite RC. I had this when it first came out too. I eventually converted it to run a OFNA hyper 21 8 port motor with the NEW ERA big block kits. That was a big waste of money and effort, pretty much could never start that shitty motor. BTW did you know it had a factory 1/5 scale steering servo, so cool.

    • @hybrid32494

      PhilthyCo RC That ofna motor had an upgraded metal pull start cord. That is how tough it was to start up. The reg one ripped almost instantly.

    your missing the dust cover that goes behind the linkage lever on the carb, it also acts as an air seal.

    • @hybrid32494
      @hybrid32494  6 лет назад +1

      the clubhouse Ur right. I removed it and edited it out of this video. Issue was it was binding too much and caused the carb to have resistance. The rubber probably swelled over time from the oils. Ill work on it and fit it back. Thanks!!!

      great idea, going to do it today. Did you see the last few second when it ran? that was after I replaced the fuel tubing, but still needs some work on the carb.

    I've been working on my Losi XXX-NT restore the problem is my os max .12cv is worn out and barely has compression so I'm not sure where to go from here.

    • @hybrid32494
      @hybrid32494  6 лет назад +1

      If I were you I'd either convert it to run brushless or buy any cheap eBay nitro engine for like 60 bucks. you just need a basic 90 degree motor mount from eBay and any 1/10 scale brushless system.

    Hi, Is that one use Spur gear 76 tooth and Clutch bell 18 tooth?

    • @hybrid32494
      @hybrid32494  4 года назад +1

      hey buddy! I just counted and I can confirm the clutch bell is 18 teeth. I also googled this and here is what it says in a forum "Just got a e-mail back from Adam Drake, the only spur for the xxx-nt is a 51 tooth and clutch bell gears 17-20". I'd say mine is the 51 tooth spur as well, does not look like a 76, but I have not counted it. BTW, I cooked an egg in the cooling head of this thing in a different video, then ate it.
