I remember like half a decade ago when Babbling Book was the poster boy of, “This game is kinda getting RNG reliant.” Now we live in a society where you can lose automatically based on whether Cho’Gall’s nutsack had an itching for the worst anomalies.

i like anomalies, EXCEPT
- fucking plague DK with the "draw cards you can afford", if you're playing an even deck and they get the weapon on 1 you are guaranteed to draw a plague immediately, and if it's frost or unholy you basically just lose
- any anomaly that fills your hand since if you play decks that can't just jam their hand every turn you're actively fighting against being milled. seriously playing thief rogue vs hanbuff paladin with the "draw if mana left over" anomaly is such an uphill battle.
- "discount your opening hand", it's super high-rolly why does it exist?
As someone who played Even Odyn warrior during this time, I ABSOLUTELY agree. Nothing made me angrier than blizzard telling me that I auto lose, by forcibly swapping my upgraded hero power for a shittier one.
I like anomalies as a concept, but the way some of these effects *blatantly* give an unfair advantage to certain strategies makes them unfun as hell

I decided to play even druid after seeing your video and the first three games I played and I got the "Hero Powers cost 1 less" anomaly in all of them. It was fun for 50% of the players in the match

Yeah really cool when you’re playing smth not tier 1 and your opponent hits any of the like 5+ highroll anomalies that wins them the game on the spot. I had a Togwaggle Druid combo me turn 2 because they got the spell discount and were able to ramp on 1 😡

Okay, but, you haven’t realized that discounting the mana of your duskfallen aviana and sheriff battlebrim when you start with them means that you will be able to (assuming your opponent runs you down fast enough) get your jailed aviana combo a turn earlier!
i hated these so much when they came out, im not willing to play a single game (outside of grinding quests in casual while watching tv shows) until theyre gone. Can't wait till they realize how much the playercount tanks. This is as someone who was super excited to play this season, I grinded wild legend in the first day. Guess I'll play other shit, all good

if it was its own gamemode, it would be fine, but the fact that it's invasive of the main ladder makes wins feel dirty. I haven't blatantly lost games due to anomalies yet, but every win I scored just felt cheap.

I like the anomalies 🤷 i just play shitty decks that I made + a cho'gall and when I lose I blame the 1 or 2 anomalies and not myself, it's great.

I dunno, Anomalies are fine. Like, in Standard at least they are little silly and like, they are in the meta so briefly that it doesnt really matter, its just like 3 weeks of silly at most, which in a grand scheme of things is not that big of a deal. I like the game to be a little more wacky for a short time, soon enough we're gonna come back to the regular old meta
Especially since they usually drop the %, it's really not that bad if you're not tryharding all the time

I always hated the way anomalies mess your game just by rng.
I just find the whole anomalies thing bland and unengaging. Its my first time playing with them, and I have not had a postive reaction yet. Its like, oh, I get one shifting gear, that really spices up this otherwise normal game. Or, oh I get coins from not using mana, that unhelpful since most of the time when I am floating mana, its because my hand is empty or useless. And that has basically been my whole reaction to this entire things becuase thoses are the only two anomalies I keep getting. I didn't even know the hero power or minion discount ones existed.
