Kuala Lumpur literally means "muddy confluence". Kuala Lumpur was founded ca. 1857 at the confluence of the Gombak and Klang rivers. those are natural river... the color is always like that, muddy as the name suggests. River of Life project to transform the polluted Klang River (long time ago) into a thriving and lively waterfront with commercial value. The whole project was divided into several components: River Cleaning, River Beautification and Commercialisation and Tourism. but muddy is its natural characteristic.
Its is said that even the Bitexco Tower in Ho Chi Minh City constructed in 2010 was inspired by the Telekom Building in Kuala Lumpur which was completed in 2001.
