I really like how you connected all the smaller details to the bigger picture of the whole game. As a new jungler, this really helps me out since a lot of other guides tend to get lost in the details. Algorithm recommended this vid to me btw
gromps lvl = average lvl of all players ingame the time it spawns, therefore you dont loose on every single gromp spawn... but for sure never skip this gromp in this scenario :D especially if you can get lvl 6 after wolves + gromp + scuttle
Good video but 11:20 sometimes you have to consider the elo, like in elo hell laners are generally sleep on junglers, what I mean is they either don't see you or don't want to help you and also they spam ping you after you're dead while counter jungling :) They see it as your mistake rather than theirs.
In most cases I would agree, but here Sion was already on the bottom side of the tower rather than in his lane. Even if he doesn't see Rengar, the Rengar would have ample time to run to sion before yi has a chance to kill. Especially if you pull gromp up while taking it. If you are simply counter jungling and you get caught with both laners are in the middle of their lane then it's your fault, even if they had prio. Gromp take was the right call here, no matter the elo.
Loved the simple mind steps trough the game that you propose. Sometimes people overthink things that are not effective or not consistent enough to climb
Just started getting back into league and have been someone stuck in plat as well.. I had no clue the camps leveled up after killing them and I am someone who religiously skips gromp to engage camps as an assassin jungler.. and after seeing this.. I make a lot of these same decisions and being able to hear your perspective in the reasons why? My brain went “he finally gets it!” 🤣🤣🤣 so here’s to you! Cheers!
i like the video and im just giving an opinion. I think that in the beginning of the game the rengar can still force that void grubs. he still has temp even with the 20 wasted seconds because of the timing of the recall. He full cleared and got scut on his first back and tho yi finally got full clear by the time they met top side. yi only had 3 camps on his last base while the rengar has the full clear. thats like dirk to long sword type advantage. which in my opinion means rengar still fully has the tempo
8:00 i agree with the fact you don"t do wolf without gromp. But it doesn't affect the level of the next gromps for the entire game WTF. When a camp respawn, his level is determined by the average level of the champions in the game, so as the xp/gold
This is a really good review. Its very clear for new players. You should consider doing a few fundamental vids. I would like to see how you abuse temp in lower elo.
The problem with jungle is no matter how good you are, you can't win when your team is actively trying to lose the game, which makes it a pretty useless role in low elo Like I'm a Plat jungler in flex because people actually listen to my pings and look at the map, but I'm bronze 4 in solo q because there's usually 1 or 2 lanes who I assume is either mentally challanged or completely new to the game
You don’t need to win every game tho. If you keep consistent and always perfom well you are going to get a positive win rate. Maybe not 70% but all you need is at least 55% to climb pretty fast
When I saw master Yi top I would have gone straight to dragon. Mak and dray were winning lane and pushed up and midlane was also distracted, it was a free dragon
Im trying to swap from support (master) to jungle but Im always underleveled and i feel like i lose all 1vs1 against enemy jg lol. I think its because i skip 1 camp sometimes and do trades. Thanks for the video
@@wheelotv sure did. Am planning to transition from supp/add to playing jungle, solo or mid coz adc/supp role sometimes dont make a lot of impact base on my personal experience. And I think I need more of this explanation vid of yours
wow! i never knew jungle was so complex. now i know why when i try talon jungle i suck ass even tho i main him mid lol even if my mechanics are decent enough to put me at emerald, jungle is a whole different game
If I were to path from top to bot, should I be doing that the whole game? If Ive cleared my topside jungle and im standing bot and drake is dead but void grubs is up and I have wolves, gromp alive. Shouldnt i be clearing towards voidgrubs by doing gromp and wolves or is it better to recall to go to void grubs and continue clearing down rest of the game?
If you can take the camps go for it and path to voidgrubs. If you have gold for an item then back, if the top is missing and you think the jungler is going to grubs go to grubs. it depends on the scenario but trust your instinct
You can reverse your clearing route if you think top lane has become the new win condition. If it's stil bot I would recommend to either recall and go grubs if you can buy something useful in base, or do wolves -> gromp to then recall
@@wheelotv When you say "if you think top lane has become the new win condition". Do you mean if my botlane is feeding and It becomes useless to gank them because enemy bot is so ahead I should switch which lane to gank/focus on. Or, do you mean that pathing towards the next objective that is spawning by reversing my clear is the win condition? Thanks for answer, I just want to make sure that I understand.
5:13 if you are playing a champ like bel’veth here would the optimal play not to gank mid into enemy top side Jung. We know at this time cause we mirrored our camps so when yi dies top his only camps is bot so you could mid gank into counter jungle as we are stronger than yi and most likely grotten prio on mid
I feel like you have a lot to learn b4 u can claim masters + being an actual good coach as I’ve seen u miss several calls and backtrack a decent amount of statements, I do respect the grind and the will to improve and I think watching players like tarzand (kr) tarzand (na) agurin (euw) tent (euw nida otp) and other high elo otps to maximize pathing and limit knowledge will help you alot w climbing and coaching, I’m saying this not as some clueless random I peaked gm with impressive wr when I actually invested alot into the game and last season I was masters both splits with over 60% wr and this is what I do to improve
Would it not make sense to full clear from bot to top, so that when you reset after your clear and have spent all gold in base, you'd be pathing bot anyway so you'd have time to impact bot right after your powerspike before going back to farming?
You are right, my bad. The only camp that increases in gold is the scuttle crab. So the gromp will always give the same amount of gold, but more XP. Thanks for pointing that out, I will be more clear about it in the future

It’s all about consistency
Good coaching! My fav tip was pinging the jungler's tempo as you clear your camps to help your teammates be aware of gank threats
It’s a very good tool to use in soloq since people are blind
this was super helpful as someone who is new to maining jungle! I never knew that about camps leveling up each time you take them!
Now you do
I like how I am E1 diamond and still see the same mistakes made in this game. Actually a good vod to show a lot of players
You can get pretty high rank by mechanics alone. But if you master your fundamentals it will be a lot easier, and I mean A LOT

He never pulls out the camps to speed the clear. Another good tip is do the gromp before blue as it respawns faster if you want to do a full clear

when u kill a camp it respawns based on everybody's level, not based on how many times you've killed it.
This is true, I have corrected this in my future coaching sessions

If you can steal camps for free do it. But it’s not always the most important thing

tempo is bad
This is viable in some games but as tootskii mentioned it slows down your tempo a lot and also gives you less gold on your first back
