I mean sure, he did the right thing, and saved so many people from a disaster waiting to happen, and he deserves the amount of positive feedback he's getting, but now we should be more concerned about how often people keep in check with the safety conditions of these amusement rides because if we aren't doing our jobs to keep everything intact, crap like this is gonna keep happening, regardless of how much whether or not we dont want it to. Yes, quick thinking on his part and bravery from him and everyone who ran to hold it down after he waved them over. With how it was wobbling in the beginning, those people could have gotten smashed by it. They truly risked their lives to save others.
@Raul-bt3bt for a carnival ride yes but for a regular ride at a themse parks it is safe
The only one there that was thinking about the safety of someone other than himself, I'm sure everyone on the ride was grateful for his quick reaction!
There's a guy that went to warn the couple SHOOTING...
I think most people were in shock or didn't know what to do.
Yeah, they were probably thinking as individuals, they couldn't do anything. This man was able to realize that if multiple people came over they could hold the ride down and once he called people over and the plan became evident people saw a way they could help and rushed over. All of those people were willing to help, he was just the only one to come up with a way of HOW.
@@slick6699 I suppose it's perfectly normal, self preservation more often than not is the natural reaction legitimately speaking. Maybe this guy was an off-duty first responder of some kind which would explain his inclination to run towards danger rather than away from it.

Why is everyone talking about the heroic man who saved all those lives on the ride over the concerns of the maintenance of the ride itself? I mean sure, he did the right thing, and saved so many people from a disaster waiting to happen, and he deserves the amount of positive feedback he's getting, but now we should be more concerned about how often people keep in check with the safety conditions of these amusement rides because if we aren't doing our jobs to keep everything intact, crap like this is gonna keep happening, regardless of how much whether or not we dont want it to. Remember, *it ain't gonna fix itself* if we don't do anything about it to *prevent stuff like this* from repeating and happening all over *again.*
I completely agree. it's horrifying how wrong this could have gone, and how common malfunctions and lack of inspection are

My band director always said he'd never get on carnival rides because he didn't trust anything big that could be packed in a box. This proves his point.
It just proves someone skipped on safety methods, and how to properly ser the carnival ride up. In general, they don't do this. People make mistakes
And then he disassembled a trombone and put it in a box.
Yep. Once I learned that these things are rarely actually inspected/ serviced I was good on that. lol
I have rules lol.. never go one the first or last day lol. First because if it's not assembled right I don't wanna be on the test ride and last because the ride operators are over worked and tired, the equipment is run down too and ready for repairs lol

@@angelabarnes1675 that is a lie most countries won't help at all will just look n stare then continue on with their day
@@angelabarnes1675Lmao, other countries do have it as bad as America. If you haven't been to another country or haven't lived in it enough to see the bad sides, you wouldn't see what's the problem there. "The grass is greener on the other side" is a perfect example of your comment. It's not that they don't want to help, they just lack the courage to do so. Which is why people become braver if they have someone leading the battle.
I think that’s an unfair assessment. It appears that people are in shock and don’t know what to do. As soon as someone gave clear direction and appeared to know what was happening, most people joined in to help. Also, phone footage from bystanders has been proven to be VERY useful in solving and assessing crimes in a way like never before. It’s also often both dangerous and a liability for people to intervene as well but in situations where it’s obvious most people will.
But if they know how to record something they can help fix, why not do something @@HostileTakeover555
