Should have been Ultra Magnus though. Optimus is Red and Blue, Magnus is Blue, Red and White.. When you put Bay Optimus beside Knight Optimus you realize how dominant the Blue is.

You know, I've never really liked his knight design (I don't think it's a bad design, I just don't think it works for Optimus), and I've always found his transformation ridiculous and impossible, but that just makes this figure all the more impressive to me. Such a spectacularly simple transformation that pretty much turns the vehicle mode entirely inside out pls toy base.
Yeah, I've watched his first transformation scene in AOE and everything just sort of shrinks into his torso. Yet, it's somehow less blasphemous than Megatron's new form in TLK. He turns into a cybertronian plane but there's no sign of his alt mode in robot mode. Where the hell did the plane go?!
Yeah i agree with you not liking the knight AoE design. It was outright corny like you can't even see where do the truck wheels go and not visible in his robot form. As a humanoid stand alone design it looks badass yes, a knight type robot but not as a transformer
