Looks great. Thanks for showing the tip about cutting the brick for the corners. That’s a nice design touch.
TY !
Still number one Mr.Odell king of concrete
Right on!
Very good workmanship. I learn something new every video. Thank you Sir.
Glad to hear!
I love how my construction management degree course and your videos go hand to hand.
Glad to hear!
These two guys are brick masters. Great looking work.
I concur
TY
This is so beautiful! I love the corner cuts! Thanks!
Watching your videos gives me ideas for my backyard
Glad to hear!
Looks way nicer!
ty
David, another idea for a video, i would love to see your collection of tools and an explanation of each one and how its used, i think that would be very interesting
Yes we do need to make a video like that!
Great video, thanks so much for taking the time to film these. I like to see how much hand labor goes into the preparation of the ground. It really helps me understand how much effort goes into each pour. Cement work appears to be a rather difficult task and quite a skill.
TY
enjoy
Simply beautiful job.
Ty
Really has a clean look, very sharp! Now the skaters on that block will want to do tricks in the framed stage.
probably
You do a good job of putting your videos together. I like your down to earth explanations. Much Appreciated.
TY
Impeccable workmanship and attention to detail. Just wish Odell was positioned to serve my needs here on the east coast since I've had several recent incidents of shabby workmanship from sub standard contractors.
Me too
Good work, Odell
Great video, the corners look awesome!
TY
Amazing work as usual
TY
Looks great. Thanks for the videos.

Nice work!! I've been thinking about doing this to a couple sidewalk planters in front of my house, might have to give it a try
Give it a shot!
Looks great
TY!
Excellent job...always appreciate nice craftsmanship, AND keeping explanation simple...unlike me !
Yes, sweet and simple!
Odell Complete Concrete what kind of belt do you have to hang ur float and trowel adgers
Nice work
How cool.
ty
Dam, that's nice! Thanks for sharing.
YW
Very nice man, I enjoy all the videos you’ve been putting out, tons of projects I have in mind here in Florida!
Yes always trying to keep busy!
New subscriber here.
That is a top nosh job.
You learn something new every day with the damp broom to get the lines in the concrete.
TY
Ive been watching alot of your videos, you go into great detail which is good and you guys makw these jobs look so easy
ty
Odell Complete Concrete Also its commendable how you come straight from work to go edit and record videos even still in work clothes. Good job keep it up

But looks so mint !
TY
Excellent!
TY~!
Excellent work as usual!
Have you ever done a paver driveway
with a concrete border?
We have not bit that would be interesting
Very helpful, thx!!!
Another good job. Using that technique on a sidewalk. The brick ribbons will be across the sidewalk every four feet.
Do you have a video/suggestion of how to add brick siding to a house without a brick ledge?
Man I gotta say you do great work and very knowledgeable as well. I enjoy watching the videos. Please make more. Keep up the great work!!
We will and thank you!
Could I use this technique to make a whole patio? Like lay down a criss-cross of brick squares, then come back and fill in the squares with concrete after the bricks have dried?
yes but you should add steel to come out from under the brick to tie the slabs together
Really appreciate ur videos thanks...
How did u get the corner cut? Or what's the degree from the corner?
45 degree
After you dumped all the mortar on the bricks, how did you clean them off? That wasn't shown.
we used a wet sponge to wipe the excess mortar off
I was wondering the same thing. Magic.
Scott: fyi - It's the exact same as grouting tile and cleaning that; not sure if you've ever done tile though.
Would you recommend this method for a full patio.
Yes it will work the same just on a bigger scale
06:18 you mention a 'crack chaser' but I'm not sure what that means (usual direct and no-nonesense presentation in your vids is a real delight to watch).
Its a diamond blade in wedge shape so you can 45 degree the saw cuts or whatever else.
What kind of bricks did u use? also where did u purchase it?
HHome depot
What was the total depth of the new concrete? Thanks OCC your videos are very helpful.
4 inches and Thank you!
Cual cemento usaron para relleno del ladrillo
I wish my GF looked as good as this concrete job.
doesn't everyone
The latest and greatest sound like the Master Blaster from Lancaster 😂😂😂🎶🎶
Get it on
It would be very helpful if you could add time to the video That way we know when next step should be,for example you pour your mix at 13:30:00 then you do your edges at like 16:30:00 for example, that way we know you are supposed to do ur edges like 3 hours after you pour your mix down. And maybe brush the surface at 20:30:00 for example, then we would learn ur supposed to brush it after 7 hours..The times are just for an example.. and i know it depends on weather but it’d be more helpful and it could give us a rough idea of timing control,we would learn more than just knowing what steps/procedures it takes but how long to wait between each step. Many thanks. Great effort!
Sounds good. I'll put that in with the new (how to mix concrete by hand) video, I'll be working on today.
How do I work for you. I'm just starting off doing concrete
NIce result :) Do you need some kind of city approval since you said it is city property ?
Technically yes.
Good money! Can i acid wash the brick after concrete cure?
I wouldn't not with this type of brick. The white will come off.
Love your vids dude. Do you ever do basement work?
Ty and no not typically
Got ya. Thanks for the reply and all the videos!
🤔🤔 Uncle David I had a question to ask you and this is just a a question why did you use a concrete truck to pour those two little pieces couldn't you have used a portable cement mixer and use a couple of bags of concrete then again maybe you use the truck because you probably was using it from a different project correct please tell me that because having a truck come out and pump those two little pieces you must have a lot of money on your hands😂😂
we were doing the backyard patio this day as well when we poured these
Border
fixed it, typing to quick
Did city contract you to do the job?
NO but they will now, after seeing the magnificent work.
Odell Complete Concrete was it private property or city? Why did the owner want it done?
Owner wanted it
next thing he's gonna use a concrete pump for is a single fence post. you heard it here first, folks. he set a world record here for "smallest job utilizing a concrete pump", but he's still gonna find a smaller job to use it on.
(seriously, I can't believe you used a pump for this. lol)
We poured the side yard and back patio off the same load, that's in the previous video.
Could have used a grout bag for the bricks. Lot easier. Either way, Great job
''Simple Brick'' hahahaha, this reminds me of a very famous product.
Btw Nice work. Do you guys usually use a quimical product to cure the concrete?
Hey man, you NEED to oil that chair :)
I agree
Nice to see a different material in use with the concrete too. Seemed a shame to broom it, as it was finished so perfectly.
True but it would have been slippery when wet.
TY
Great video. Its "Borders" though not "Boarders"
Ty and fixed it, quick typing.
