I have now viewed several of you Video's, and have to say It's truly a breath of fresh air to watch a professional actually do the job the custom is paying for WITHOUT cutting corners to increase the profits. Your technics are a tribute to your skills. Your customers are really fortunate having you and your crew on the JOB!

Mr. Odell, I just watched this video for the second time and again I am very impressed with your knowledge and skill of your trade. Your are truly a CRAFTSMAN. Too many in the trades today just don't have the dedication and pride in the results of doing the best job they can. I am a 74 year old retired military and electrician and not easy to hand out praise just to make someone feel good. You SIR, again, are a CRAFTSMAN. Thank you!
Thank You
Ted
Thanks for sharing. You and other professionals like you are really helping America. We have lost so much of the hands on ability that we used to have. Glad to see that some of this American know how still exists. I salute you!
I always wondered how this was done. Great to finally know! Nice job. It looks great!
MR O Dell love your videos - you get down and dirty with ur crew respect!
we always do! ;)
Like honestly, the appreciation I have for true quality craftsmanship goes very deep. Look at you in the corner.. You still have dirt on your shirt on your shoulder. You got home from work and continued working, doing voice overs and editing.. Great job!

Even just the block alone looks great!
I liked the face in video. It's cool to see you observing before you explain. I find it handy, actually.
As a mason of nearly half century now, i very much appreciate pride in workmanship, and a mission for our projects to last forever. I watch your stuff intently, as there is always something to be learned when watching a craftsman. Well done.
I feel the same way with other crafts.
TY
Great video. I really enjoyed that one. I especially liked that you combined rapid video with some real time segments. I encourage you to do more of that because it helps me to learn the technique.
Yeah we sure can and TY
I've spent probably the last 5 hours watching several of your videos. They all have a few things in common, hard work, good planning and prep work, great attention to detail, and a fantastic final product. I'm wanting to pour a slab for an aluminum covered porch and it's a beginner slab but it has an extreme slope on the back corner and I think after watching your videos I know what to do, but honestly after watching your videos and the incredible finishing techniques I've seen you and your crew use, I'm hoping I can replicate even a halfway decent outcome. Thanks for the great videos, I've subscribed and I think anyone who wants to learn more about concrete form work and finishing should as well!
I think you will have good going small to start
Your voice is perfect for reading bedtime stories to kids. It's mid day and I am getting sleepy watching your videos. Not because they are boring but your voice.
Awesome
You make it look so easy, the sign of a master.
You just got yourself another subscriber! No machine will ever take this type of work away from us! This is the real deal!
Yes I believe you are correct.
TY
Very informative video, Thank you sir, You certainly know your concrete. I learn something new every video.
That's great.
TY
What a beautiful and solid job, a joy to watch you and your guys in action. Thank you sir.
ty
Excellent work David! These are some
Great ideas, and how to skills from your videos!
TY
Another work of art on the street! Great tutorial with more bonus tips. The floating head narrator thing is pretty usual with gamer channels (to reveal the emotion behind the cussing) but not so usual elsewhere. I'm here for the content and it doesn't matter to me if you are on screen or not, it is the concrete info I'm watching for.
I tend to agree with gamer channel thing.
TY
Very clean work. You never disappoint.
As for the added animation, I have to say, it distracted me. I found myself staring at you rather than your work. I prefer your traditional background narration. It allows me to really analyze the work details, as you explain it. Much like an audio tour.
Hope you appreciate the feedback. Big fan! I especially enjoy seeing you and your sons actually build something together. A rare image these days. They will always have skills in a trade, thanks to their Father.
That's something to be proud of, for sure.
Be well

You're a champ and thanks for the inside knowledge.

You and your crew are awesome....I am a type personality that strives for perfection ,You nailed it! Great video.

Nice job. I went and found this address on Google maps. It's 2019 and it still looks good. This was very helpful for a project I have coming up at my house. Thanks.
@Green Giant where at?
@@d.c.thepoet5694 pause at 24:27 and see that street names. It may be the worst google street view ever, should be called google car roof view.
Love these videos. Thanks for finally hiring me after all these RUclips interviews. I have to call in sick tomorrow though, my wifes colitis is acting up again and I have to put cream on her periodically. I’m thinking about putting some cement on instead...don’t worry it won’t be from a job site, I’ll buy it myself. See ya Tuesday!
Great step-by-step commentary!
TY
I was just thinking, whenever you're body is tired of concrete work, you def can have a career in cake fondant. That was some smooth butter edging
SOunds good and yummy
I was thinking the same thing while watching this haha
Thx for your hard work. Greatly appreciated you sharing these techniques
YW
This wall looks great! Thanks for the video I learned a lot from this.
Glad it was helpful!
Love watching your videos. Done a lot of concrete and granolithic work at my house in the last 41 years. Never had to use a jack hammer to break of the soil, here in Scotland. That was a very tidy job you carried out and I am sure, will lead to more work in the area, if it has not already happened. Nice outlook over the ocean.
This area is all steel stakes, no wood stakes around here.
TY
Grest videos man!!!! Alot of work during day, then editing / narrating videos. Great job man !!!!
All out all the time, or why do it?
That's my Modo
Another Great Video - Thank you so much for sharing your skills and knowledge!

TY
*You're = You are. Am I a good teacher?
Nothing says "blue collar" more proudly than concrete dust on your shirt for the video. Well played, sir.
TY
Great video, love the way the cap turned out. I have subscribed, looking forward to watch more and pick up some great tips. Thank You
Awesome! i hope you enjoy more videos like this in the future!
Build that wall man. Awesome!
I actually really like the fact that your face is in the video. It just gives a fun feeling of teaching taking place.
Well we might throw it in on another video
I could take it or leave it. With all due respect to your lovely face.
I dig the format, for me it's nice seeing the face behind the voice. Lends itself to the overall branding of the channel.
im glad you liked it :)
Odell Complete Concrete jonat
Great job, explained in detail step by step, thanks for sharing.
YW
Thank you. Very impressed with your walk through and your work.
ty
Good video, cool project
TY
Very cool. Definitely the best concrete youtuber out there .
TY really means alot!
TY
It is hands down one of the best channels
It's nice to watch professionals at work, great job, very well done!
TY
I like watching your videos you are a true craftsman
Wow... beautiful work, great job as usual... I enjoy watching your videos
Glad to here! TY !
Love your work and video's.
Highly unlikely I would do some of this, looks a lot easier than what it is to do a great job :) But nice to know what goes into doing something like this so when hiring a tradesman I do have a really good appreciation of what steps are required or options to consider (appreciating there are 101 ways to complete the same job!!!). Keep up the great work.
I do a lot of brick, block and stonework. I am going to attempt a concrete wall cap for an upcoming project. And yes the tapcons are always the way to go. ✌
I subscribed here to see professional concrete work and that's what I got. Your video production is well paced and informative. Thanks for taking the time to share your world with us
TY
Mr.Odell you magnificent man because you give us every day new information so thank you good job and good mason l pray to God to be in good healthy
TY
Great job and video as usual. Would love to see the finished project. Jealous homeowner gets to do his projects and most of all work along you crew!
Thats and im glad you enjoyed the videos! but working with him was more of a hassle xD!
Rember seeing a sign in a auto repair when I was younger: 25 dollars an hour rate, 35 dollars an hour if you help!
I appreciate your videos ! Very informative Keep up the good work !
YW
I know I don't only speak for myself ... You sharing in great detail your expertise is greatly appreciated. I am in the very near future going to build my own house ... And i mean me . I am in high gear studying concrete work, as I have experience in most other aspects.
+Ran Mc
Awesome
I intend on doing the same thing.
Awesome job as usual, David! I thought the head view commentary was a cool effect...but it did get distracting after a while.
Sorry it was a distraction but glad you liked the job!
I prefer the voice over. But i really apreciate the concrete work
so you dont like me in the corner?
no, just voice over please.
I think the reason it doesnt' work is because it's a bit distracting seeing you there. Your narrating what we see on the screen rather than 'reacting' to something.
Odell Complete Concrete I like it, makes it more personal
As usual great job guys. Always a pleasure to watch your videos.
TY
Thank u sir for all ur videos there really good and good tips too
VERY TALENTED! IT'S NOT EASY. BUT YOU SURE MAKE IT LOOK EAS.Y
TY
Nice work.
TY
Hi Mr. Odell,
just found your channel having been doing a bit of research for laying a concrete base for a log cabin. Your videos are very informative and demonstrate your indobted skill in this area of construction. Thank you for your efforts.
regards

TY
Nice work dave. nice 2 see your son getting down w a trowel n edger, your teaching him alot. tell him about the customers, some are great, others you know about the others. like wire mesh in that work. like some people u just dont even want 2 bid on their work.
Thats true some people out here just dont understand the work that goes into these projects
Good job, in locations where you get rain make sure you add some half round profile to make a drip groove between the bottom edge of the copings and the edge of the wall, this will prevent water damaging or staining your wall over time.
Good idea
Green screen now! Bloody hell getting professional
Big time
Nice video. I did one like this a few years back just the color was Adobe. I did it the same way you did this one. I just had the color added to the mix. It came out nice as well.
I enjoy watching your videos. Great job! again!
TY
Love the videos!! Ditch the head shot though. Takes up to much of the screen. LOL!! I watch all your videos.
We're undecided at this point still getting the consensus in.
TY
Maybe you could work on the volume. The sound is really low. Thanks for sharing though. Thumbs up.
TY and yeah we can work on that!
henry maybe you could work on shutting the hell up!!! thank you!........ :P jk. i love the "critics" ...
Perfect!! Thank you for your video...I learned a lot!
TY
amazing job. nice video and great video. paving america!! well done sir!! thank you so much for sharing.

Homeowner putting wire in. Lol Probably did some other suff too? Color coat is stong, link? Thanks😊
You name it he does it.
www.scofield.com/lithochrome_main.html
I usually charge extra if the homeowner wants to help.
yeah makes sense. always make it alittle more challenging
shitty work any way 1/2 in border is fro commercial places no residential
Looks good, if customer like it whats your beef?
Odell Complete Concrete good job, looks great , very compatible with the large banding on the house columns.
@@stevelopez372 That's the first thing I noticed when I saw the panned back view and thought of his statement that he wasn't going to brush it. I loved and learned a great deal here. Thank you @OdellCompleteConcrete
you are a champ with concert mate I been watching all your videos good on ya
TY
Wow a work of art! You guys make it look so easy.
ty

It was a little distracting and hard to watch with your mug in the video. Otherwise keep up the awesome work!
ty
I like your Mug in the video.
Fantastic! Great wall, great instruction
TY
I appreciate your videos. Awesome work.
TY
Keep the voice over only....
That's a good possibility.
I'm still getting some feed back.
Odell Complete Concrete, maybe two go pros running at the same time from different angles would give us viewers a better perspective? Other then that the workmanship and content keep me coming back...
I agree with OP, just consider the thumbs up on his post are people who read and agreed!
Yes it seems that way
But that's 62 thumbs up at 300 views. I think it's fine. It was different, trying new things is how we learn. The work is Awsome! by the way. What the heck i thought it was 300 views its over 100,000 views
No this is creepy
Right on
Vinny DulA WHAT !! YOU HAVE A CREEPY MIND WHY DO YOU PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT EVERYTHING.....SHUT UP SHUT UP ALREADY TIRED. OF. YOU DO GOODER TYPE ! WORRING ABOUT EVERYONE ELSE BUT YOURSELF

your videos are awesome. I like the "floating head."
TY
Some people don't like .
I'm still debating if I use the floating head or not.
I subbed today after watching your videos for a last few days. Thanks mate.

ty
Just Awesome! Thank You for sharing!
ty
I actually would try this at home. Thank you for sharing.

Ughhhh, I used to be an Outdoor Construction contractor & it would drive me nuts if the homeowner messed with my work! Would be tempted to whip out a change order on him and charge him $ to re-do the "work" he did, but you have to be customer friendly if you want referrals and a good reputation.
I wondered, before you explained, why the rebar was clear out at the side of the form.
Great work! Your attention to detail makes you a great contractor. Thanks for your videos!
That is beautiful, thank you for sharing.
