    Mr. Odell, I just watched this video for the second time and again I am very impressed with your knowledge and skill of your trade. Your are truly a CRAFTSMAN. Too many in the trades today just don't have the dedication and pride in the results of doing the best job they can. I am a 74 year old retired military and electrician and not easy to hand out praise just to make someone feel good. You SIR, again, are a CRAFTSMAN. Thank you!

    I have now viewed several of you Video's, and have to say It's truly a breath of fresh air to watch a professional actually do the job the custom is paying for WITHOUT cutting corners to increase the profits. Your technics are a tribute to your skills. Your customers are really fortunate having you and your crew on the JOB!

    I've spent probably the last 5 hours watching several of your videos. They all have a few things in common, hard work, good planning and prep work, great attention to detail, and a fantastic final product. I'm wanting to pour a slab for an aluminum covered porch and it's a beginner slab but it has an extreme slope on the back corner and I think after watching your videos I know what to do, but honestly after watching your videos and the incredible finishing techniques I've seen you and your crew use, I'm hoping I can replicate even a halfway decent outcome. Thanks for the great videos, I've subscribed and I think anyone who wants to learn more about concrete form work and finishing should as well!

    Ughhhh, I used to be an Outdoor Construction contractor & it would drive me nuts if the homeowner messed with my work! Would be tempted to whip out a change order on him and charge him $ to re-do the "work" he did, but you have to be customer friendly if you want referrals and a good reputation.
    I wondered, before you explained, why the rebar was clear out at the side of the form.
    Great work! Your attention to detail makes you a great contractor. Thanks for your videos!

    Another work of art on the street! Great tutorial with more bonus tips. The floating head narrator thing is pretty usual with gamer channels (to reveal the emotion behind the cussing) but not so usual elsewhere. I'm here for the content and it doesn't matter to me if you are on screen or not, it is the concrete info I'm watching for.

      Very clean work. You never disappoint.
      As for the added animation, I have to say, it distracted me. I found myself staring at you rather than your work. I prefer your traditional background narration. It allows me to really analyze the work details, as you explain it. Much like an audio tour.
      Hope you appreciate the feedback. Big fan! I especially enjoy seeing you and your sons actually build something together. A rare image these days. They will always have skills in a trade, thanks to their Father.
      That's something to be proud of, for sure.

    Your techniques and tips and clear camera work and narration help me to learn. The "head" appears useful try it in a few more videos and maybe only for some specific sections to see how it works out over a fair test period. You certainly appear quality driven. I'll second some of the other commenters compliments and there were some tips among those as well. And I'll second some of the safety suggestions regarding dust control. Maybe do show the finished state in a few weeks to answer the comments about the structuring and proportion of the caps and offsets by showing how the cladding in stone and tile answers those issues. I suppose the next ice age will be well advanced before you in your location needs to worry about frost and freezing control or maybe even rain.

    • @OdellCompleteConcrete
      @OdellCompleteConcrete  7 лет назад

      I think the head can be used with a few tweaks.
