    QOTD: Metagross, that mon is so great even without his Mega Evo, being a non meta mon which is beneficial specially for close team sheet where people don't really know what to expect and you can use that to your advantage, doesn't really need much support, it's physical and immune to intimidate, can use AV, can have a priority move, could explode in some scenarios with tera normal and like normal gem, can run Psychic Fangs to destroy opposing screens, it's good against indeedee/ Sneasler Psyspam, can benefit of psychic terrain as well, could run a weakness policy set with a bulldoze mon next to it like Salamence or Farig (I got destroyed by that once in the ladder if I remember right), can be a huge damage dealer under Trick Room, can be a good "recipient" for Coaching mons, could run Tera Flying next to Garchomp and Excadrill, could run Choice Band with Trick to break some annoying mons, so many good options is actually insane how this mon is not used enough, most people are just really one dimensional, this exemplifies that not every Pokémon that is outside the meta is necessarily bad or close to it, at least in case of Reg H

    QOTD: My GOAT 2017 Arcanine, the mon was literally most used pokemon in 2017 vgc and it’s one of the OG 555 BST. You can build it so many ways and it’s got great bulk/attacking stats/coverage/support moves and a great 95 speed stat which is faster than a lot of the meta. Fast will-o-wisp/flare blitz/snarl/it even gets close combat. Can’t forget it’s got intimidate. There’s a reason it was the most used mon before Incin got its hidden ability.

    QOTD: I think Hisuian braviary is underrated! It’s so versatile in that it has access to tailwind as well as the fact that it’s base speed is lower mid tier so I feel that with investment you can use it in trickroom or tailwind. It has access to tinted lens Tera psychic expanding force which just hits everything for tons of damage. The downside with this set is that you have to Tera away from flying to benefit from psychic terrain. You could also go the route of scope lens + esper wing for high crit chance (not sure if it’s guaranteed or not). At 110 base HP it’s fairly bulky and there’s just so many different sets I could think of that this Pokémon would do well with.

    QOTD: slaking, While most people automatically assume slaking has to be a physical attacker due to its massive attack stat I decided to take a different approach to it, Using it as a support mon. Slaking is one of the only mons (in my opinion) bulky enough to make use of move "after you" a move that allows your teammate to move directly after the user. Utilizing this move with a little help from a friend I'll mention in a second you can achieve +1 priority attacks for a partner pokemon that can't be blocked by psychic terrian! Which is very useful againt unsuspecting opponents.
    Unfortunately for slaking the ability truant really nullifys its usability and forces you to bring a partner that can compensates for it but it's not the end of the world! To achieve the +1 priority "After you" I mentioned earlier you need to skill swap the ability prankster on to slaking so changing its ability was already part of the plan. The only two pokemon that can help in this regard are sableye and meowstic although I would recommend sableye with its dark and ghost type you gain important immunity too fake out and taunt from oppose prankster mons giving the line alot more consistency.
    After you've gifted slaking prankster all you need to do is switch into the correct sweeper for the job and you can start spamming your most powerful moves at a +1 speed completely ignoring speed tiers from your opponents trick room/tailwind!
    If anyone's intrested in hearing more I can continue to elaborate but this post is already long enough so just ask and I'll respond the best I can thanks for reading if you made it this far!

    • @irism4ney
      @irism4ney Месяц назад

      I like da concept but would oranguru not be better? It haz more balanced bulk maybe a lil worze (90/80/110 compared wiv 150/100/65) but alzo haz 2 good abilitiez over a harmful 1. Zupport oranguru can run taunt, after you, quazh, trick room, inztruct, imprizon, zkill zwap (zo you can hhve any prankzter pokemon next 2 it), reflect, light zcreen, imprizon, trick, encore, knock off ans yawn

    • @tylerwall8105
      @tylerwall8105 Месяц назад

      @irism4ney Oranguru is a pokemon I looked at pretty heavily when looking at options for a "after you" based strategy, that along with an stockpile Clafable and a Clodsire. However none of them were able to present the staying power needed for the strategy to be performed successfully.
      Slakings stats will seem a little lopsided at first glance with a 150/100/65 being his base totals however utilizing the right moves and IV's can turn him into very difficult pokemon to remove.
      With a moveset of ice punch, amnesia, slack off, and after you, you get access to a consistent 50% heal and a way to boost your weakest defensive stat by 2 at a +1 priority on turn 1 allowing slaking to tank special spread moves surprisingly well. Finally rounding him out with an iv spread of 252H/220+D/36spD and a flying tera, slaking transforms from a presumed physical threat into defensive support pillar that refuses to get knocked down easily.
      Unfortunately in oranguru's case its weak defensive typing + no consistent healing and no way to permanently boost its defense stat really hold it back. This is why you'll commonly see oranguru paired with "follow me" indeedee that'll keep it safe while it sets up trick room.
      For this strategy to be pulled off consistently you'll want the prankster mon to be the one doing the skill swap so that way all of your interactions will happen at a +1 priority making it nearly impossible for your opponent to interrupt. If you try to skill swap with oranguru you run the chances of your prankster pokemon getting cleaved outta play before you even get the abilitys changed and thus your line falls apart.
      In regards to slakings ability It's definitely a double edge sword when people see both sableye and slaking in play they usually will either double target the slaking and or single target + spread move so you can use this to your advantage. Giving sableye an eject button will allow you to get a free swap into pokemon like ursaluna procking it's flame orb for turn two and shielding it from big damage on turn 1. If people ignore the sableye you can either choose to stay in or swap out, if you stay in you can skill swap truant onto one of your opponents pokemon and handicap it. If you choose to switch out into one of your sweepers you can utilize the sableye later on in the match as a meat shield to safety swap between sweepers saving valuable health on your two biggest threats!
      As a side note you'll probably notice that slaking isn't built for attacking this is mostly due to pokemon like inciniror being on every team you run into. After an intimidate and a parting shot slakings attack gets heavily nerfed resulting in it not being a very good attacker in the long run. however this works in your favor, while your opponents utilize their moves to lower slakings attack you have free time to get set up and without chip damage on slaking they won't have time to remove it before you get set up.

    • @angelitabecerra
      @angelitabecerra Месяц назад +1

      It means that when the ranked season ends (a set time period) you were utilizing that Pokémon on your team when you placed at whatever rank.
      So in this example, this Japanese player finished the ranked season at 19 with Frosmoth on their team.
      Now, the ranked season includes *every player* in the world currently playing on the ranked ladder. And the end of the ranked season is *a lot* more competitive than the beginning or middle of the season as people are trying their hardest to finish with a high rank. So finishing 19th *in the world* with such an obscure Pokémon is really something special.
      I hope this answers your question 🤗
