INSANE Shallow Water NZ Harbour Fishing!

- If it wasn't for this amazing fishing we experienced in under 80cm of water I would have never beleived you could catch big Snapper in such shallow water!
We're back in the Far North for day 2 of our epic adventure in our @SurteesBoats93 575 Centre Console. The mission today is to test out our brand new @daiwanewzealand7206 'Free Swimmer BR' Bite 'n Run reels on some harbour Snapper. What we encountered was some of the craziest shallow water fishing I have ever experienced - this is the stuff that dreams are made of! Definitely New Zealand Harbour Fishing at its finest! #BuiltToFish

That's a fun session. There is some good shallow water snapper on the fly in the Waitemata in less than a meter - my PB is a 12 pounder but others have got up to 17 pounds!

Nice choice mate, you’ll love that combo! No story with that red line, was just some Daiwa Sensor Surfcast line I had lying around so I chucked it on - goes good.

Nice fish BUT poor technique in handling good breeder's then releasing them. Fingers in the GILLS folks is a NO No. Amen.
Thanks for your comment mate - not a single fish had fingers in its gills before being released. All the fish that were handled like that were harvested for food.
