Range Report: Q Mini Fix (.300 Blackout Pistol) - A firearm with an identity crisis

- In this Range Report, I get the opportunity to shoot and review the Q Mini Fix pistol chambered in .300 Blackout. This is a very short barreled firearm with that is bolt action. Is it a gun designed for precision shooting? Is it a survival gun? I will try to figure this out in this review. Like all my reviews, this video documents my personal thoughts, opinions, and experiences with this firearm. Yours may vary.

I got an idea of what this compact bolt-action application is. It is designed for assassins. No joke. It is a perfect assassin's tool.

Without seeing its profile, I agree with the barrel heating theory to explain the POI shift. Then again, it could be the scope or the trigger nut. 😁

I got a Howa barreled action and had the barrel cut to 10" and threaded, then put it in an MDT chassis. I can fit it in a Ridgid tool box, so it doesn't look like I have a gun. It's a perfect gun to keep with me and still be able to reach out to 200 yards. With the suppressor it's shorter than a bolt gun with a 16" barrel. I think I killed a deer with it last year. I agree it's a specialty gun that fits a special need.

I appreciate the innovation of Q, but this to me is not worth $2k for a specific niche in my gun safe

The point, i believe, is for it to be suppressed. short overall package in a caliber designed to perform out of an 8-10inch barrel both subsonic and super. essentially, it's a honeybadger in bolt-action for fudds or people locked in Dem states where ARs are hard to own legally. Or for the silencer enthusiasts who want even more suppression out of their 300bo
