    advice : buy the car you like, because whatever car you'll buy people will always talk. I had an S1, people told me it's a women's car. Then I had a A45, people said its a poser car then I got a S63 coupe and people say it's too flashy so yeah haha

    *Firstly THANK YOU for all the love and support for my new car (Alfa 4c for those that didn’t watch the vid) secondly, hope you enjoy this one :) leave a like if you did. It really helps.* 🙌

    Most Audi quattro models are pretty clinical and very easy to drive fast. Agree that RS models are for those that want more extreme performance..

    Just watching this two years into my ownership of a standardTT roadster with quattro drive and I like it, the ride is a bit firm on the 19inch wheels and the car does not have the wow factor, but all in all its a good package. High thirties fuel consumption is welcome in the days of sky high prices(March22) much better than the Boxster

    @robmorgan8369 5 лет назад +6

    If you are after a Mk3 TT, just don't test drive a TTS or RS as you can't get the performance increase out of your head. The standard entry-level TT is pretty quick but the others are on another level.

    Lovely review - for a 45 sounds great and would be fun steer until you drove the RS but hey for the price much more stylish than older TT’s

    I saw a TT RS on my morning commute yesterday and it looks anything but a “hair dressers car”. It looks a proper little sports car and so does this 👍

      The TTRS is a true beast of a car. It beats anything in its class and is on the verge of super car territory fast.
      It’s a 0-60 is 3.6 sec car stock. Anyone that is stupid enough to view it as a hairdressers car will be embarrassed by it blaring by them.

    Thanks for the video Stef... thinking about getting one for my next car - currently got a Golf R MK7.5 and had an M135i LCI before that - so wondered whether i'd be able to live with the performance drop.. think it'll be fine - it's only a second or so slower.. a lot more positives than negatives for me.. think Turbo Blue is probably one of the best stock factory colours these come in as well... you'd need to be brave to drive a Burst Orange or Vegas Yellow one!! LOL! :)

    Those fake rear vents... why?! Can't see the point of this variant, the TTS pick of the range - fast enough for most and ten grand less than the over-priced RS. Mk3 TT no hair dressers car, anyone pushing that cliché hasn't drive one...

  • @scottfromengland2303
    @scottfromengland2303 5 лет назад +2

    Nice filming Stef 👍🏻 I think personally the TT has lived it's day.. was a fairly decent car but always ascoiated it to a hair dressers car.. when I see them now I don't think wow like when they 1st came out..
    I have a question which I dont know if your know the answer, I need to get a dash cam & wondered if you knew any decent 1's ?

      I got this hairdressers car. Currently having the MK 3. Therefore I had, for over 11 years, the MK2…put some 300000 km on it. In the Alps on high mountain passes in a winter storm my Quatro TT was unbeatable.
      So far the hairdressers part🤙.

    How is this engine thirstier than the tts though. 21mpg!?!

    • @raidden-1583
      @raidden-1583 6 месяцев назад

      it's the same engine than the TTS but with a weaker mapping and few things here and there. That means it has less torque, which, especially on an automatic car (but is true even on a manual), means more revs for same amount of power, which, with the same engine, means worse consumption (with a light foot driving).
      It's why you'll see a better fuel economy on stage 1 cars

  • @MrRoyck10
    @MrRoyck10 5 лет назад +2

    I had a TTS it looks good but lacks sporting character, too clinical, hairdressers comes to mind but Audi interior is extremely when built. Stef good analysis but I will rather drive the 4C or Alpine!

    Bit of a biased review ? The main thing he had to say bad about it was he did t like the colour -_-
    Hardly mentioned the fake back seats.
    Won’t thumbs down or nothing but would’ve been kl to get a more objective view that’s all.

    The days of the TT may be numbered as Audi are considering ditching the car because of poor global sales.

    • @HusslinDaddy
      @HusslinDaddy 5 лет назад +1

      I don't think they're considering it anymore. If I remember correctly, there was a recent interview with one of the CEOs, who basically said they are going to stop producing the TT range. And it's not a matter of "if", but a matter of "when" they will ditch it. Sad, though, the TT RS is an insane car, in my opinion, but given the fact Audi hardly sells any of the TT range, it's understandable from a businesses point of view, I guess...

    • @StefABtv
      @StefABtv  5 лет назад

      I didn’t know sales globally were low? Interesting thought. I hope not. The RS is one of the fastest cars on the road after just a remap

    2019 TT = $45,000+ USD. 2019 Fiat 500 Abarth = $21,000+ USD. I think Fiat wins for me.

    The image issue is fatal: The TT suffered in the beginning from having one of the most unfortunate product placement in a film ever. Featured in the Legally Blonde franchise in the early 2000's, you didn't need to see the movie, the trailer burned that image into your mind. It killed that car here in the US, No sporting motor enthusiast would ever be caught dead driving that car , let alone owning one. It was, is, and forever will be, as you say a "hairdresser's car". It's a shame too, they're fun fast, and affordable cars, The Audi exec responsible for that stroke of brilliance is somewhere in the fetal position repenting now.
