I've done that. It was exhausting, but the view from the top was spectacular. We couldn't use the lift, as it was only used to transport tools etc up, for the maintenance workers. I can really recommend doing this to anyone who gets the chance.
The off shore wind turbine which China are in progress of building is the largest ever building in the world. Be aware that this could be “ the eye of Modor “ not only watching, tracking all the activities from the South East to Japan sea. I guess it could be also GPS support for strategic targets on the sea around the region
@@Mistysfedora wind is pretty much the greenest source of electricity per kWh, since it doesn’t take that much to make a wind turbine and they generate heaps of electricity.
During the last six weeks, the UK total turbine output has barely produced 2% of our electrcity. It's a fools paradise, but it's a money maker for some.
As if the UK doesn't have enough wind already without wasting electricity making more of it by running these big fans. What a waste of taxpayer's money!

The UK is currently the No.1 country in offshore wind power, both in practical efficiency and in theoretical research.

Is all that stuff inside EVERY one of those turbines? Lifts and all? Extraordinary.
Yeah
No, the ones on land generally don’t have elevators
@@mileslane9485 yeah these offshore ones are absolutely massive, much much bigger than the ones on land
Land also have lifts. Of course I'm speaking about big ones manufactured by Vestas, Nordex, Siemens etc.
Most don’t actually have elevators, most are just long ladders. Depends on the model and how recently the wind turbines where made
Imagine living in one of those things in that top compartment. That would be insane. Especially to be inside one during some crazy storm.
Reminds me of those two engineers who died on top of a burning wind turbine. RIP.
ya . can u share more. i hv seen turbine burning.
Since that horrific accident, every time I see a wind turbine I think of them
0:40 I climbed 623 feet...
i climed i climbed 295 feet and took a lift that goes up the remaining 328 feet
I work on those exact Avanti lifts as in this video. That elevator needs to be looked at. They are not that loud lol.
"aFtEr aLl tHaT cLiMb iS gOinG tO pAy oFf" *literally uses a elevator*
Have climbed a few onshore turbines with and without lifts. None this high though. Do get a good view once at the top.
Wind electricity = evil theft from birds. STOP THIS THEFT TODAY. Say no to wind generated electricity.

Excellent 👌👌
Incredible! Hopefully, coming to USA, soon. We need green!

Go green. Coal is dead, people.

It’s a shame that when she got up there she didn’t find out how to use a proper system of measurement
very good
She didn't tie off when she unhooked from the ladder...
Then you never climbed 623 if you took the lift. She sure ain't John Noakes scaling nelson's column in 77.
How do they get electricity to power that lift there 🤔
Are you really that stupid?...
@@Hagg-o-tron 😂😂😂😂😂xd
They run on free range coal
Climbed?
Obrigado pelo vídeo maravilhoso.
Surely all that safety equipment is a danger in itself?
What part of the safety equipment is a danger ? 😂
Would feel safer if i had a parachute on tbh
It's a shame they only have a very short life.
i was a tenent there once upon a time.
Good
Wowww
Terrifyingly interesting
Are they all built the exact same
I can do that
*In Gta*
Wind turbine turns only when there is wind
This is the UK. 95% of the time it's windy offshore, here.
@@timaustin2000 well then , great!
Hahahaha you should see how windy Scotland is
