Couldn’t you not play Coates as a BPD with added instruction to dribble more? BPD’s are hard coded with take more risks and dribble more usually prompt them to progress the ball into midfield before dropping back

That would work however the idea is he sits in the pivot before he gets possession not driving into the space with the ball.

I think Pochettino at Chelsea or Thiago Motta at Bologna would suit Liverpool more though, because of their philosophy and formation style which suits the profile of players at Liverpool.

Think Mottas style is quite methodical isn't amazing as in entertaining that would be my thought from going from klopp to him
