Doggo is not there for his field effect but for his effect to Special Summon himself to a column that your opponent tries to dodge to as a way to make your other S-Force effects live.
So if you build your field turn 1 with 3 Monsters, they summon into an empty column, you SS Doggo into that column and now have your Effects and another Compulse from Chase.

@@alicepbg2042 Yes, while it's effect to halt effects of your opponents monsters on YOUR MP is meh, the main reason you bring Dog Tag is for his ability to SS from Hand when your opponent summons. This not only boosts your numbers for Compulse, but can also have niche applications.
Like if you have the S-Force that stops your opponents from changing their battle positions on the field. Your opponent summons a Super Heavy Samurai in ATK(Most of them have an ability to immediately go to Def on Normal Summon) you chain Dog and slap it down in the new column they summoned it in. Your Dog now has the Position Lockdown effect and all the other S-Force Effects because they are worded as "Monsters in the same column as an S-Force..."

Unfortunate timing for the video, since I'm pretty sure the new support comes out in a week on MD.
For reference to those playing the deck when we have Retroactive and Lapcewell, you really REALLY want to get to Isolde. She summons Chiyo from deck and adds Retroactive to hand, and you can still use Retroactive's hand and GY effects even under Isolde. The deck is very normal summon reliant, so you want to be using special summon engines like Terrortop or in particular the Sky Striker engine, which puts a Warrior on the board for Isolde. I'd avoid the normal 1-card Isoldes like Squeaknight because they do use your normal. Edea's not very good for the same reason.
Magicians' Souls is another great one. It dumps Platina from the deck and draws you cards off the field spell. It's a very big plus to your end boards, because instead of summoning Platina off Chiyomaru, you can summon Lapcewell, who grabs Platina from the GY. With how much trouble the deck has just getting materials on the board, it being a free special is also huge. Magicians' Souls plus Engage is pretty much full combo without even using your normal summon.
The deck is THE Small World deck, everything searches everything else. You can run power 1-ofs like Terrortop specifically because they're searchable via Small World (this is also why you like to run Dog Tag, it bridges to a strangely high number of things).

    • @prinnynaito

    • @giantstrawman543
      @giantstrawman543 Год назад +1

@@prinnynaito Justify needing 3 is so bad, yeah. It's a flat -1 to your end boards a lot of the time when it really shouldn't be. I usually run Living Fossil and DDR but I think Overdone Burial would also work for the deck. If you do decide to run a normal summon Isolde package like Sublimation Knight obviously you can run equips that let you get to those easier.

So Isolde will be the only thing you make that turn.
The good Normal engine for Isolde is 3 Neo Space Connector and one Aqua Dolphin.

So reading over Chiyomaru, the difference appears to be as follows:
In the TCG, Chiyomaru locks your opponent's monsters into attacking the S-Force Monster in the same column as them (I have no clue how this works with multiple S-Force monsters in the same column via Links. The fact that it says "that monster" makes me think there's an attack lock involved with this if any S-Force and Justify are in the same column as a given monster, as opposed to "those monster(s)", which would suggest that you would be allowed to target either of them, especially since this deck released as a Link deck from the get-go, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong)
In the OCG, Chiyomaru locks your opponent's monsters into attacking monsters in the same column as them. Monsters, as in generically, meaning it would also apply to something along the lines of a Knightmare Phoenix or something dumb like that, just as long as there is an S-Force in its column
With that aside, checking the text of the card on Master Duel, it appears to use the TCG version rather than the OCG version, although it is entirely possible it just grabbed the first available translation given that there's still several cards on Master Duel without PSCT

S-Force needs a monster with a better column effect to really do well. Like, negate the effects of monsters in the same column ilas an S-Force card. One of them almost does that, but it's only during your turn. It seems like when Konami made this archetype, they had a really good concept, but then they thought, "nope, we can't make this too good. Let's tone the effects down a little bit so they aren't broken." But then they toned it down too much and the deck sucks.

If they had more interrupt cards or a batter toolbox I think it would work but even the newer cards have weird out of place conditions :/
Hopefully one day they get another wave that rounds em all out better as a solid toolbox control deck. And as the game grows there is even more fun to be had with the art so who knows. Probably not but it doesn't feel like a totally unsalvageable archetype either.
Also my biggest problem with justify, they could have just said "neither player can special summon to zones this cards points to" and it would have been a good lockdown effect and prevented extra link. Just strange honestly.

I'm curious, though. Why Yugioh Omega and not EDOPro?

I just created an account to build S-Force a day or two before Thanksgiving. The deck is a lot of fun but not great. I even tried to figure out some odd options due to the column nonsense. Things like Wattkinetic Puppeteer and a meme (since S-Force clearly needs more jank to improve it) in Center Frog and Mimiclay, since I was already focused on moving my opponents minions around the board.
Curious to see what you come up with.
