Union soldiers fought, sacrificed and died for the Union. USA! USA! USA! Confederates fought to destroy our country so that slavery could continue. What don't you get?
Those who deny the past are doomed to repeat it. Mao and Stalin and probably Hitler would be proud of the triggered who remove staues. You reap what you sow
@Californianationalist1985 You mean like Lincoln that illegally declared war on his own country without congress approval and also violated the US constitution 11 times?

@@mrbubetube The Confederates were attempting to break up the United States (USA! USA! USA!) in order that the buying and selling of other human beings as slaves could continue. The Union aimed to preserve the Union in defense of all we hold dear as Americans. "White" has nothing to do with it. The vast majority of these statues were raised in the early 20th century in defense of Jim Crow and racist discrimination. Putting this statues in museums is a fine way to preserve this sad history for future generations. They do not need to be in the town square. When the American revolution prevailed over England a whole lot of George V statues were knocked to the ground (USA! USA! USA!).
No, it's not erased. Slavery still happened, as did the war to protect slavery. You can read all about it. There's just slightly fewer statues honoring the slave masters now.
They’re just going to find something else to complain about

@@mrbubetubeThey were FIGHTING AGAINST slavery. More Union statues I say, replace all of these with Union boys. They died honorably.
Some are still standing and will never come down.
Kicking a statue, dumber than a box of rocks.
Erasing great history!
