in power morphicon 5 danny slavin who plays Leo said in a panel that for the morph it was gonna be choreographed but they couldn't get it down so the director basically said screw it just put the fingers on the morpher
I don't fucking know why, but Lost Galaxy is my favorite PR season. I know that technically it's not great, and Time Force is way better, but damn I love It. PS: Yes, even the suits are amazing for me.
That, the suit, he has his own megazord, and honestly I liked that they used the dairanger morpher for him and I would do almost anything to get my hands on that
Actually they turn it in Lost Galaxy's morph sequence, it happens at the start of the green screen segment. The tapping is then rendered kinda pointless although it does allow the left hand to be placed to turn the dial.
(Coming in extremely late here) But when you mentioned the morphing sequence for Lost Galaxy its pretty okay compared to Gingaman. However, it seemed like someone forgot how the Lost Galaxy Rangers morphed in the following appearances, opting to mirror aspects of Gingaman henshin.
Lost Galaxy had better villains Gingaman had a better character dynamic when the finale was drawing near with Ryoma and Hyuuga. My complaint that the build up to the axe he made was a dud. Gingaman had better soundtrack as most sentais do. But i did enjoy both though i felt more invested with Gingaman.
You do realize that Japanime hasn't watched all of Lost Galaxy, right?! You can't really say it's a full comparison, if the guy hasn't successfully watched all of the episodes of Lost Galaxy to see a direct comparison to the sentai. These, on the other hand have seen both shows and they've fully understood why there were certain changes made in adapting the sentai as well as what worked and what didn't work for an adaptation.
Plus in space and MMPR and Dino thunder and S.P.D. and Zeo beast Morphers unmorphed fights love story’s villains and a lot of other things because if you actually look at pr the Purely American villains are better
@@xgray2012 Actually Japanime actually watched both of the back to back, Tokucast haven't watched Lost Galaxy in years they said it multiple times throughout their videos.
Oh boy I like them both in different reasons lost galaxy message the alien parody the characters are great the finale is great, however gingaman is also good had a mentor, the villains especially steelwoman shelinda, Trakeena is also great in lost galaxy I think both are equal both had great things but has flaws as well
I prefer Lost Galaxy for the story, but I prefer Gingaman for the music. I prefer the Lost Galaxy characters, though the settings in Gingaman make a bit more sense. Overall, I like them both equally, though I do see their flaws....Gingaman's theme is better though.
I’d have to side with Gingaman. Sure, Leo being a stowaway did give him a bit more over Ryouma, but I feel like the dynamic between Ryouma and Hyuuga was developed more towards the show's ending than it was with Leo and Mike. Maya and Kai might have been smarter than Hikaru and Gouki, but the latter two had more consistent characterizations and more development. Hikaru's rivalry with Biznella felt very personal, as Biznella's very first plan was to capture and blackmail him into powering up the Steel Star Beasts. Gouki's romantic subplot wasn’t just a one-episode thing, it was something that got developed throughout the show. The fact it only got adapted for one episode in Lost Galaxy, and was dropped right after, only made it as filler. Furthermore, Gingaman as a whole felt a lot more consistent with it's writing and thematics than Lost Galaxy. How is it that all these monsters keep getting into Terra Venture? Why would the Lights of Orion just be hiding inside Terra Venture? Why are the insectoid villains suddenly using monsters that are Japanese warrior fish-themed, Egyptian-themed, or robot-themed? The monsters made more sense in Gingaman because the villains were established as being comprised of four different factions. Oh, and the Lost Galaxy Arc itself, which the season is named after, went virtually nowhere too, except for Mike losing his Magna Defender Powers and the Toro Zord getting destroyed.
@@keithdixonjr7387 1.Not true, Trakeena's counterpart was actually Shelinda, they just didn't use the same outfit beacuse her outfit is too revealing for americans audience. 2.That's a weak excuse, a good series should have a good story, characters and development, not just a hot women. 3.You know, between Trakeena and Shelinda, I'd always preferred Shelinda. Not only does she look more of a badass villain, she's merciless, she doesn't take any prisoners, she harbors quite the grudge against Ginga Green/Hayate, always being straightforward and direct and willing to take action whenever she feels the situation calls for it. I'd definitely loved the growth Trakeena went through to become as deadly and merciless as Scorpious but I'd just happened to like Shelinda more.
I feel both were awesome while some of it was copied from gingaman lost galaxy had enough change to be its own thing I liked the american villains and felt like both had good music and cant pick which I like most
I think Lost galaxy has the better premise and villains, that works quite well. Gingaman felt a bit to traditional especially with the villains. They were fine but weren't that great and the last episode was rushed and did not felt properly conclusive to the series. However, I think Ginga man had much more of a better drama than lost galaxy. When hyuga died, you could see that it actually had a load on ryoma through out the series compared to leo. Especially considering that he felt responsible. Also, like the episode when Ginga yellow was fighting a villain that just wanted to die by a worthy opponent and you could see that hikaru really respected the monster for that. Lost Galaxy has some questionable acting especially from Maya and kendrix which sort of threw me off sometimes. (a good bit actually) but the show was fun. The soundtrack in ginga is just ridiculously epic (To be fair, I think almost all soundtracks in sentai are a phenomenon )
I only like Gingaman because of the music, but I actually did enjoy watching Lost Galaxy the most, because of the characters, the premise, the villains and of course....the team-up between the Galaxy Rangers and the Space Rangers. That and the first Magna Defender's story arc very well handled than Bull Black's story arc in my opinion.
Really? I don't know man, I think ginga man did a great job in their sixth ranger arc. I mean the moment Ryoma was fighting of the henchmen to protect bull black when he was injured, and Bull black was trying to tell Ryoma that he should let go his idealistic belief. When red continued to ignore him, Bull black said "you're going to protect me even if I'm using your brother's body? " I was like "Oh shit" especially when Ryoma himself heard what he said and asked again to confirm what he was saying is true. The tension was building up quite well. That's just an example to name a few of how well they did the arc.
Actually, the only issue I've had with BullBlack's story arc is that his loss for his brother isn't as heartfelt than the original Magna Defender losing his son, Zika in the season. You see, when I saw his son being murdered by Scorpius, *THAT* was more painful for me to watch, than having to feel sorry for someone witnessing his younger sibling being murdered by his enemies, on-screen. Believe me, if this were to happen to your only child, you'd understand one thing....your personal blood line has ended at that point. You have no other offspring, left. Yes's Kratz's death in Gingaman was tragic, but not nearly as tragic as the death of a hero's only son, on-screen. Okay?! Seriously, Put yourself in these characters' shoes, respectively. What would cause you as much pain and suffering as possible, in real-life? Losing your younger sibling? Or Losing your only child?
I get where you're coming from but no matter how you look at it's the same thing. The thing is with Bull Black, his brother wasn't close to his age he was still a young kid and also the only family member of his race that died, so it's still impactful as LG (Especially considering it's sentai footage that was used to show the story of the him being killed) Bull black to me was like a guardian looking over his child when you think of it. "Losing your younger sibling? Or Losing your only child?" if I have a younger similar that age I'll treat him like as though he's my son and I feel like with Bull black that's what he did. Another thing, I think Bull black losing his sibling was a reflection of Ryoma's losing his own and how it changes both characters; One was in pain so much, decided abandon his morality and fight only on his own desires like the enemy because the individuals thinks that's true strength and where the other felt so responsible he tries to live up to his brother teachings by holding on to his idealistic beliefs. I think ginga man did it better because it had a great start and overall great conclusion to their arc. (Along with more better acting in my opinion) "Believe me...no parent should ever have to bury or out live their own child." No one should have to bury there young love one. Period
Lost Galaxy was alright but it had a lottttttt of really glaring plot holes that kind of ruin the show for me. Like, im not talking about little inconsistincies, im talking about MAJOR contradictions and things that just do not add up. Personally, i think the premise they tried to come up with really didnt fit the theme of Gingaman, and it just didnt work for me. Had it been its own thing it wouldve been a lot better. I just think they didnt cater enough to the stock footage-you can be original, in fact i encourage it-but you have to make sure it fits with the footage youre using or it'll feel really disconnected.
Maybe the people of Boom! Studios can probably fix that in adaptation. That is, if Lost Galaxy will ever get a comic book adaptation in the near-future.
I have feeling that all the beast themed sentai series are really underrated or just getting overwhelmed by their counterparts. Gingaman and Gaoranger were really good seasons but most of the people call it "boring" or "adaptation is better" without giving any clear explaination about how it's better. Beacuse personally i never liked Wild Force and i found Lost Galaxy to be okay.
ive just finished rewatching last galaxy and watching gingaman and i love gingaman its not the best but its difference and i found it good in my opinion i wont say top 10 but top 20 and i hate lost galaxy i dont see what its so good but its my opninion
I'll say one thing Trakeena may have been spoiled but we NEVER had to hear someone say "Well, excuuuuussseeee me princess" to her.

I don't fucking know why, but Lost Galaxy is my favorite PR season. I know that technically it's not great, and Time Force is way better, but damn I love It.
PS: Yes, even the suits are amazing for me.
I respect that
My favorite character from Lost Galaxy was the original Magna Defender. His backstory was very similar to Bull Black's and that's why I like him.
Just ordered both Gingaman and Go Go Five because it was on sale. So this will bring me to 7 and 8 of Super Sentai that I will have.
Are 2 of those 8 shows Timeranger and Jetman out of curiosity? You ask me those two are the best (especially Timeranger)!
I wonder if Boom! Studios can adapt Power Rangers Lost Galaxy into an on-going comic book series.
Lost Galaxy had better villains Gingaman had a better character dynamic when the finale was drawing near with Ryoma and Hyuuga. My complaint that the build up to the axe he made was a dud. Maya is the hottest female ranger ever. That's all you need.
But she sucked
I must disagree with you as Ashley is without question the actual hottest ranger.

Best team would be leo, hayate, kai (a bit more), maya (i guess, neither yellow was really good), karone
