My son (US) is planning a wedding ceremony with his fiancé (BOGOTA) in August. They probably won’t have the visa yet and it will be a wedding in name only. No papers will be filed so it will not be a legal marriage. If she is asked about planning a wedding or if they are married how does she respond? Obviously, she doesn’t want to appear to be lying. Once in the US they will have a very small ceremony to make it official and maybe an open house/party at a later date.

I heard about a green paper prior to the start of the interview? Supposedly, even before you start the interview, the consulate officer has already decided whether to approve or request a second interview, even if all evidence is present. It's shitty, because I see it as a bias. The K-1 visa application requires a signature but it does not require a wet signature. This means that it can be a photocopy of the signature.
