see what your mechanic says. you will get your money back in scrap or parts if you have somewhere to strip it should the verdict be as bad as I assume it may be
@@DylanJonesProductions fingers crossed it might not be as bad as I'm thinking. If you can get it sorted and a genuine mot, even without a conversion you would get your money back. The DPF is the big problem unless your man can find a good used one and that's all that part needs. Fingers crossed for you
Remove the screws from the floor, wire brush any rust, hammerite paint then bang some silicone on them to stop and water / rust issues later. Replacement front door should be an easy fix. Interested to see how this develops. Im currently converting an L3 H3 Relay. Just done electrics - itll cost way more than you think. Cables are expensive 😂😂
@@DylanJonesProductions fully recommend watching Greg V "fiat Ducato budget build" electrics series. Got lots of info from him. I've used most the kit he uses - excellent stuff so far. Easy to install. I used breakers rather than fuses for my inline fuses - easy to isolate when needed. Don't skimp on cables, renogy solar stuff has been good for me so far (panels, inverter and MPPT/dcdc charger) . I recommend fogstar batteries. UK made, good blokes.
from the mot it looks like they have smashed out the DPF which is a fortune to replace and also indicates they may have had it mapped to bypass the DPF, I would get it looked at before spending any money fitting it out as a camper as it may be a scrapper as DPF is £1000 plus remap £300 plus all the other work needing doing.
Hi. Great video. But I'm 58 and converting a sainsbury Mercedes sprinter home delivery food van to camper. Well wish I hadn't bothered, vans cost a fortune and I've still got the pile of scrap I started with. My times better spent doing other things like watching paint dry. Don't bother lad, it's like mine, a dead loss. Best wishes David. Norfolk
Sounds like you've given up already, you can't have that quitters mentality when it comes to building a campervan. It can be overwhelming but as they say Rome wasn't built in a day. If you can set aside at least an hr n a half a day start with smaller steps n take your time.
Just watched this one and it already seems like one of the more entertaining builds... Too many boring people with boring videos or van builds where dudes are pimping out their missus in the thumbnails with tight tops on... Only to find they don't wear that in the video.... But at least you're not wearing flip flops...
Let’s go 🔥🙌🏽 I’ll be waiting for the next episodes
with the screws in the floor drill them out and fill them with blind rivets
Thanks, I really didn’t know on what to do with it

Thanks I’ll have a look into it
When you change your double seat to a swivel seat get a drivers seat and base from a crap yard it will be a lot cheaper,
Thanks, Ill have a drive around there to see if there's any

Ye, my mechanic is having a look over it and getting it all sorted for me this week
if you don't mind just removing the reg off of the comment, it'd be appreciated thanks
@@DylanJonesProductions sorted
Appreciate that thabks
Look forward to the build what was the mileage when you bought van 😎👍👍
where the hell did you find a working van for£500? everything i see at £3k is on its last legs
I was just thinking this till I checked it’s recent MOT history, safe to say it’s not a suprise it’s £500 now
@@exposedxapxcs9868 even if you had to spend £1000 on it your still on a winner then around £1500 on a basic fitout it would fetch 5k
Front Exhaust particulate filter obviously modified . that sounds like they have messed around with the DPF which is expensive
Ye the price is the price for a reason, gonna get the work done on it
Ye my thinking exactly so with getting it straight it’ll cost a bit but still a good deal
