The Lord graciously brought me out of the NAR, and looking back it is scary how little I thought or knew of the Bible. The leaders of the group I was in, i.e. the self-proclaimed 'apostle' and his equally self-proclaimed 'prophetess' wife, both seemed so convinced of all their spiritual trips, insights, visions and experiences that I strongly think they were (and sadly, still are...) listening to demons. It really did not seem like they were lying about their encounters, which in hindsight is so frightening whereas it seemed glamourous while I was caught in the lies. It looked like they really were seeing things and speaking to entities... 😬 Lord Jesus, please have mercy on and save those blinded by deceit!

Thanks Rick - I really appreciate your clear analysis. The first deceptive belief that scripture is incomplete is the key to it all. If we don't adhere to Sola Scrittura we open ourselves up to all sorts of heresies. This is all made infinitely worse when the lead pastor or "apostle" is receiving new revelations directly from God ("downloads").
Recently left a Charasmatic church we were told to all speak in tongues at the same time going against 1 Corinthians chapter 14 v 23. Decreeing and declaring and "this is the year of breakthrough". Bill Johnson’s comment on cancer is certainly ironic given how own wife sadly died from it. While only the Lord knows these people’s salvation status, it does seem extremely questionable as the God and Jesus they serve is not the same as in the Bible.
Great summary this Rick. Peter Wagner father of a lot of what we see now, author of book Power Evangelism, which basically says God’s word is not sufficient you need signs and wonders to evangelise. I wonder if Paul could have avoided being whipped, beaten with rods, being kidnapped, accused in court, imprisoned if he’d have just called out the ‘gold’ in people a bit more….The famous Bible passage ‘’While being kept there, Felix and his wife, Drusilla, “sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ. And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee” (Acts 24:24-25). This could have ended so differently if only Paul had called out the gold in Felix v righteousness, sin and judgment to come then maybe he wouldn’t have trembled and sent Paul away….
They all teach the same thing because it is. It's a false Jesus false spirit and false gospel that Paul talks about in Corinthians he says people put up with it. I'm so grateful God took us out of it in time 🙏
Thank you Brother. I love everyone of your pieces here. Say, have looked into "re-enchantment?" A researcher and author by the name of Carl Teichrib has been doing presentations on this Paganized "oneness" for more than 20 years. Let me give you a snapshot of what this terrible false religion is all about and how the Church is Apostatizing itself with "re-enchantment". . . it's all about emotions and experiences rather than "thus sayeth the LORD." People are being led into believing a false gospel, a false Jesus Christ, and a false God not simply because they are in the NAR or practicing mysticism, New Age, and Paganism but because they love "re-enchantment." This Pagan movement of re-enchantment has infected all sectors of society: science, education, politics, business and finance, media, health and family, and of course, the Church. Re-enchantment is not limited by borders either, because Paganized Christian churches, tech industry, the UN, and the world's international religious societies and groups are 100% for "re-enchantment," whereby people are united in "oneism." This is the hive mind (mentality and future of AI tech). Within the hive mind, humanity is moved into and nudged within groups amongst other "oneism"-ers because it's all about the "we" and not "I". This global virus-re-enchantment-IS THE Great Reset. It IS THE catalyst for a new world order and a one world religion. You can find Carl's book Game of Gods online as well as his presentation on YT (see: Game of Gods' part 1 & 2) and he has a website called Forces (or Force) of change. I'm saying these things so that you might consider doing work on the subject of "re-enchantment." It's so dangerous, Brother! With peace and grace...

Paul also encourages believers to "eagerly desire the greater gifts" (1 Corinthians 12:31) and later in 1 Corinthians 14:1, he says, "Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy." This indicates that while the distribution of gifts is under the Spirit’s control, believers are encouraged to desire and seek after these gifts.

Rick you mentioned Remnant Radio - I saw on my RUclips feed yesterday that Theocast collaborated with Remnant Radio for an interview/talk on Law & Gospel. I Don't know about you but this raised a red flag for me on Theocast who otherwise seem like solid reformed bros. A number of us have raised concerns about it on their channel, but as yet not had a response.
Agreed, not a good decision in my opinion, hopefully they will think carefully about the implications - the good being that some RR viewers may gain a better understanding of the law and gospel, the bad being that they're putting their stamp of approval on RR (personally, I think the bad outweighs the good).
Bethel teaching is so destructive and damaged so many churches. One of the most twisted scriptures is ‘you will do greater things’ it elevates signs and wonders over the miracle of a saved soul. Have you ever read Bob Johnson (Bill Johnson’s brother) Love Stains Rick? It’s tough going, but provides insight on how they treat evangelism/ the gospel.
The one thing that I find odd @37:50 that I.S. quoted (loosely, out of context of course) the silver cord in Ecclesiastes 12 v6! This is the verse often suggested should you know that a person who practices magic be astroprojecting in an attempt to do one of several things to you. I have heard it said that this verse will put an end to them... permanently. Has anyone else here ever heard it said that this was actually what happened to Anton Levey? 🤔
What’s your thoughts on Pastor John Fenn with Church Without Walls International? He doesn’t claim to be a prophet but has said he has met Jesus/seen Heaven. He seems so genuine and does appear to be teaching the true gospel. Just curious of your thoughts on him (if you have heard of him).

“It’s detestable to charge for prophetic words…” However, they certainly are charging for the healing rooms and for a SOZO “session”. I did two years of BSSM in Redding and was submerged in all of this nonsense. I’m thankful I never experienced anything spiritual (trances, seeing beings or manifesting, uncontrollable laughter etc which happened on a daily basis amongst the students). God certainly was protecting me. The head of SOZO at the time I was there was also my friend and told me in private he was talking to his diseased sister every morning. She had died while in the womb, and God had allowed him to get to know her. At the time my thoughts and words to him were “oh WOW that is AMAZING”, not even questioning it, not even knowing it’s a sin to talk to the dead. I do understand why the people following this movement don’t question anything. Because they really don’t read their Bible. Or if they do it’s just in fragments, staying in the NT only (plus psalms and proverbs of course), and reading silly dumbed down translations such as the message or the Passion translation.
Thank God you came out of all that deception, I'd like to hear your story if you're willing to share it, if not, I understand. (famineintheland2@gmail.com)
Yes follows same methodology. This is the overview of it. ‘The definition of an evangelist is "one who brings good news." That's pretty uncomplicated which is how Bob likes to keep it. Let's be real: Most of us have heard an evangelist bring a condemning message to the Church instead of one that is empowering. The purpose of this book is to show a different picture of evangelism altogether. That's right. No tracts. No door-to-door. Evangelism is not about closing a sale it's about loving people. Imagine God using us just the way we are to touch people in everyday life What would that look like? A simple smile, a gentle word of encouragement, a prophetic statement, a gift given in due season, the courage to hold the heartbroken, the ability to love the unlovable, heal the sick, and deliver the oppressed all because of Jesus in us. Love is messy. Jesus' love was messy. His garments were stained when blood poured from his side as His love was displayed on that unforgettable day. But in the midst of that mess, love left a mark. Love stains are imprinted on people's hearts forever’
Thanks, I read one critical review which summed it up, the most telling paragraph: "Johnson also has a tendency toward the mystical. He describes what he calls "the bump and run". He bases this on a specific supernatural event that he experienced, but then tries to compare it to the release of Christ's virtue when the woman touched him as recorded in Luke 8. It appears that he has come to believe that we somehow transmit the presence of God just by touching people. In addition, he uses the term "out-of-body experience" when describing events that could simply be called "visions" or "impression". This can be a dangerous habit as it may open readers to acceptance of New Age types of experiences."
There are some crazy tactics in there, and I see lots of people approaching evangelism like this now, they will say it’s all about power but in doing so they it deny the power of Gods word of the gospel. I did not realise Bill Bright had subscribed to the 7 mountain mandate.
