The install should be nearly identical on this car for the multicolor kit, correct? Only difference is finding where to tuck the controller? (Probably same place you tucked the wiring bundle)
Diode Dynamics Thanks for the quick response! The sensor has to be in the line of sight of the remote, correct? It doesn't work through obstructions? If that's the case, any suggestions for where to mount the sensor? (If possible, I'd like to avoid drilling holes) Your wifi controller doesn't happen to work with bluetooth as well does it?
***** For all of our remotes (RF, WiFi, and Bluetooth) there does not need to be a direct path from remote to controller for it to work. In other words, you can hide it out of sight and you will still be able to control everything remotely. All of our remotes can easily be attached with the included 3M tape in places like your center console, glove box, pretty much anywhere with a little extra room. Attached below I have a link to all of the controller options we offer. www.diodedynamics.com/store/accessories-1/power-supply/rgb-controllers.html
Why wouldn't you wire these into the dome lights that way when you open the door the floor lights would come on when you open the doors. The wiring would be the same but without the switch. That's what I did because there are no door pins on the doors to go off of that. Good luck!
For the life of me I can't figure out how to wire my lights into the dome lights. I tapped into all three wires in the harness when I pulled out the dome, but none of them dimmed the LEDS when the door closed.
@@RyanCiocca Did you find a way ? I want to light up a CAE abarth shifter based on the dome light but I don't know where to plug me. I don't want to plug directly to the dome if I can find another way.
Related, but unrelated... Can you do a wired car door projector install, on a Fiat 500 sport, 2 door? Since they don't have lights in the doors, I can't figure out how to install the wiring. I can get the panel off, but what then? HELP, Please. Thanks in advance!
+Sang Han, this should not be a problem. Please give us a call or send us an email at contact@diodedynamics.com for assistance with specific installation questions.
hi again. i found the kit on your site. i would like to ask you a question before i buy please: these leds wont give me any electrical error correct? reason i ask is that, we all know the fiat500s have bad electrical planning. some leds will screw up the car. also, how do i make this kit light up when i open/enter the car? and to have it go off after a few seconds?
+Yara Brandao We would not expect this kit to cause any error codes on your vehicle. To do this, you would need to find a way to tap it into a dimming circuit that is activated by your doors (such as your map or dome lights). There may also be other videos online showing how to do this. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!
You guys think just maybe a red ground wire isn't the best color to use?
What year fiat is this because I have a 2012 sport and I don't have those screws in my cupholders.
This was a 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth.

Correct! Very similar. Instead of the push button switch used to turn everything on, you will have a wireless controller.

Hi there! We haven't heard anything about a video like that from our media team, so we'll be sure to pass along your request!
Why would you not cut the cables to the correct length instead of making a massive bundle like that?
Many people do not know how to cut and solder. This is why we include t-taps. You can definitely cut them down if you wish!
is there anyway of removing the switch so that when I start the car the light automatically turned on??

I'm just confused as to how this one video on a fiat is supposed to help me with a car that is not a fiat lol.
Hello! The same principles in this video apply with any car.
@@diodedynamics yeah completely different components but ok thanks
