Morning Trevor 😅, I buy starts for plants too it’s not cheating it’s supporting local stores and hedging our bets 👍👍. I bought sprouts too as I fed an early family of slugs my seedlings 🌱🤦🏼♀️. Shame about the plot holder 😢😢. Hope the weeds don’t take over . Have an awesome week regardless ❤, Ali 🌧️🌤️🇨🇦
Thanks for this lovely update, I think that maybe your friend Kermit needs to take a trip to your allotment for a good feed. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Have you tried strulch? Has to be layered quite thickly but leave a circle of earth round young plants. I use plastic bottles as cloches to protect young plants. Useful aren't they!
@@Greenmanure62I have tried it, its a bit expensive, straw worked great for me last year, but I think its been a bit wet this year, so they've defeated me so far 😂 I WON'T GIVE IN THOUGH 😊
You can use the top of the bottles as mini cloches to protect brussels etc

Maybe you can plant the onions in between the cauliflower brussel sprouts.
Good shout, maybe I'll try that 😊👍
