EXO actually are first ever kpop group to do a continuous storyline in kpop. So SM after debuting Aespa, they assigned older groups some story as well, TVXQ,Girl Generation, Shinee, they didn’t had continues storyline before.So EXO's storyline is kinda the base of SMCU but story wise, EXO's storyline is totally different, like different universe. There is a hint of crossover in EXO or other groups' newest content, and they did with SuperM as well Suho originally selected to debut with Shinee, but just before their debut Suho had an accident, he actually gave up because he couldn’t practice for months but then again join in and selected as EXO's line up( Shinee, half of EXO and Nct's Johnny all trained together)
Its not surprising that exo has a lot of talents since in the beginning, exo is supposed to function like 2 groups that should have like occasional promotions together. Im assuming they were made to function like nct without the limitless expansion
I think listening to their music videos chronologically would be better as you get to see their music evolution ❤ However, if ever do start from their pre-debut songs which are What is Love and History, then debut which is MAMA. Also, take note that they have the EXO-K and M versions, too! If you have the time, i think it's worth checking out the EXO-M version after the EXO-K MV of MAMA and What is Love specifically (and only) because in these K version, only the 6 korean members sing, but in the M ver, you'll get to hear the other korean members with Chen and Luhan (the Chinese member who left, he used to be a main vocal in EXO-M, his skills are on par with Suho in EXO-K :))

SM entertainment did have a storyline throughout their artists and it started with aespa. When lee sooman (the founder of sm) left sm, they no longer do that anymore. Theres barely any mention of kwangya in the artists that once have them except aespa cause its a part of their storyline but they barely mention it in any of their songs this year
It's worth to know that EXO is the pioneer of storyline concept in kpop. Storyline in an MV/album? That's not smthing new. But continuous storyline that connects the MV, album, music & even solo stuffs? EXO was the first one to do it & become the trendsetter in kpop. Lee Soo Man himself was the one who created EXOplanet concept for them. He's inspired by the news of 12 UFO sighting in Korea back in the 90s. After seeing the success of the implementation of storyline concept with EXO, SM THEN made the same thing with Aespa, & then made Kwangya as a shared universe for their groups. So never take it the other way around as if Kwangya was created first & then EXOplanet was made after that. Bcus I warn u, most EXO-L don't like that😂 it's one of the group & fandom's pride. & it feels like SM just took it as their creative approach without giving EXO the proper treatment they deserve for bringing in that success.

So Exo was the first group to have a story line in kpop (I believe) so SM I guess saw how good it did and decided to incorporate it into all the groups of the company. Exo’s storyline is super in depth, their powers are even incorporated into their choreo. Every MV that comes out brings out the detective fans to figure out more of the storyline

EXO actually are first ever kpop group to do a continuous storyline in kpop. So SM after debuting Aespa, they assigned older groups some story as well, TVXQ,Girl Generation, Shinee, they didn’t had continues storyline before.So EXO's storyline is kinda the base of SMCU but story wise, EXO's storyline is totally different, like different universe. There is a hint of crossover in EXO or other groups' newest content, and they did with SuperM as well
Suho originally selected to debut with Shinee, but just before their debut Suho had an accident, he actually gave up because he couldn’t practice for months but then again join in and selected as EXO's line up( Shinee, half of EXO and Nct's Johnny all trained together)
Its not surprising that exo has a lot of talents since in the beginning, exo is supposed to function like 2 groups that should have like occasional promotions together. Im assuming they were made to function like nct without the limitless expansion
I think listening to their music videos chronologically would be better as you get to see their music evolution ❤ However, if ever do start from their pre-debut songs which are What is Love and History, then debut which is MAMA.
Also, take note that they have the EXO-K and M versions, too! If you have the time, i think it's worth checking out the EXO-M version after the EXO-K MV of MAMA and What is Love specifically (and only) because in these K version, only the 6 korean members sing, but in the M ver, you'll get to hear the other korean members with Chen and Luhan (the Chinese member who left, he used to be a main vocal in EXO-M, his skills are on par with Suho in EXO-K :))
They all have solo albums except Sehun.....but I imagine it's only a matter of time lol

Calls for him to leave the group etc. I think it's disgusting. Why wouldn't fans what them to be happy and fulfilled. SM entertainment did have a storyline throughout their artists and it started with aespa. When lee sooman (the founder of sm) left sm, they no longer do that anymore. Theres barely any mention of kwangya in the artists that once have them except aespa cause its a part of their storyline but they barely mention it in any of their songs this year

It's worth to know that EXO is the pioneer of storyline concept in kpop. Storyline in an MV/album? That's not smthing new. But continuous storyline that connects the MV, album, music & even solo stuffs? EXO was the first one to do it & become the trendsetter in kpop.
Lee Soo Man himself was the one who created EXOplanet concept for them. He's inspired by the news of 12 UFO sighting in Korea back in the 90s.
After seeing the success of the implementation of storyline concept with EXO, SM THEN made the same thing with Aespa, & then made Kwangya as a shared universe for their groups.
So never take it the other way around as if Kwangya was created first & then EXOplanet was made after that. Bcus I warn u, most EXO-L don't like that😂 it's one of the group & fandom's pride. & it feels like SM just took it as their creative approach without giving EXO the proper treatment they deserve for bringing in that success.
