I am a gay black male and I was in an abusive relationship before and knew it and just would not cut it off. Even after he put hands on me in front of his 5th baby mother and made me and her service him orally at the same time. I just would not leave. He was such a charmer and an Alpha male and you did not say no to him if you knew what was good for you. You had to have his food fixed just right. Iron his underwear and tee shirts. Just be there for him. When he went back to prison that is when I made my move and and literally moved to another state and changed all my social media and telephone number.

@@imhereforitall9218 have sought professional help for it? Sometimes we get out situations but those situations stay with us. It's also important to address with a Profesional what was behind the reason for you to stay in such detrimental condition.
I wish my mom knew and practiced it too.. maybe we would be speaking and healed right today as mother and daughter but it wasn’t given to her therefore she victimized me too. Sad!
Narcissist build on insecurities
I get the sense that the boyfriend is struggling with some inner homophobia and doesn't fully respect his boyfriend because he's feminine. I also get the sense that he envies his boyfriends confidence and self love which I think he lacks for himself! Sometimes the people you sleep with can be your worst enemy and lowkey hate you because they want what you have and in this case its full acceptance of self.

I agree…I think when it comes to the social media and projects the boyfriend was the main one with the the eyes on him and like you said jealousy plays a big part. That’s why he had an issue with the whole SM thing and would try to shake him in front of others to make himself feel better.

Nah, the verbal comes before the physical. Verbal abuse can be just as bad as physical. The difference is physical abuse most of the time leave short term scars that will heal where verbal abuse can stay with you for years. So when your partner starts putting you down, disrespecting you, this has a strong potential to lead to physical abuse. Get out before that happens. The first disrespect could be a slip of the tongue and if they apologize, forgive. If it happens again, then you know the first slip of the tongue was a test to see what they could get away with. When it happens the second time, end the relationship for good because that person is trying to take you down a road you don't ever want to go. Shut the relationship down hard and fast. No one deserves to be disrespected by their lover, ever. If your lover is doing that, they do not love you so end that relationship. This is a time where you use your head only and not your heart.

Two things stood out to me this episode: 1) Jorel represents how common it is in the LGBTQIA+ community to "bottom-shame" or be openly misogynistic. It's this toxic ass mindset that "it's okay to be qay....as long as you're not too femme". 2) This guy admitted to chasing Nolan for 12 years.... only to turn around and be abusive. So the lesson is just bc someone is persistent about dating you does not mean they have any intention to treat you w/ love and respect. You are prize as long as you remain unattainable to a toxic person.
Loving the idea*** of him, but not loving HIM. Loved what he presented, but got to know him & wanted to change him. Smh. It’s sad! They did right separating.

My gay male cousin protected him; as if it was no big deal( but he had been crying, he was trying to hide his face). When I went to pick them both up; his ex did not come outside. I was were is Nate, why u crying and did not want to tell me( that was the 1st I realized). And stayed together after each fight.

I see how social media affected the relationship but it ultimately wasn’t the cause for their issues. It looks like There’s an underlying pattern of abuse between them.

I don't think this was a story of obsession, per se. Yes, Social Media played a part, but I believe the abuse would have taken place regardless. I am glad that Nolan is in a situation where he recognizes that the other guy wasn't treating him well. I do hope that the other guy does the work on himself to catch and change his behaviors so that he will be the ideal companion for the next person. He and Nolan may have been physically compatible and easy on the eyes, but were disconnected in the other areas that mattered.

As someone who’s been in a queer abusive relationship I am so glad Karamo is spreading awareness of this!! It’s more common than you think! And divorce rates for queer couples are just as high as heterosexual couples.

The first mistake was putting your relationship on social media.
I feel like they weren't fair to Jorel. He's lowkey and gets drained by Nolan's social media & diva antics, but they just skipped past his needs even after Nolan admitted to being violent too him. I feel like if Karamo can tell Jorel not to be harsh, he can also tell Nolan that there's more to life than media.
I don't think Nolan is a violent person. I think Nolan just couldn't take anymore of the verbal abuse and just snapped. I am not condoning the violent act. Jorel has an abusive and controlling personality filled with many flawed characteristics. I think both need to work on themselves but not together.
