I think im more excited to watch local boy Hudson Clement perform, that guy does not drop balls...if they hit his hands its like glue.. walk on true freshman got to play in 2nd game cause Devin Carter kept dropping balls, then earns a scholarship for his performance.. such a fantastic story, i hope he does amazing this year!! I think Devin carter was a big % of garrets pass/catch ratio.
Here are some younger players & transfers that I see being highly productive: DEFENSE: Travious Lathan = Was having an All Conference / All American kind of season before getting hurt in the TCU game. Which if you watched WVU's defense is when the defense took a big step backward. The last straw the defense couldnt replace to maintain the caliber of play it displayed for the first few games of the season. Josiah Trotter = NFL family tree, was projected to be starting LB as a true freshmen until getting hurt last spring. Now fully healthy, hes projected to shine and giving WVU a "Thunder & Lightning" duo at LB too.. TJ Jackson = Transfer from Troy, coming in as the highest rated DT/NT in the BIG12 Garnett Hollis Jr = Transfer starter from Northwestern which had one of the best defenses in the country last year, will start at CB Jaheem Joseph = Also Transfer starter from Northwestern, will start at Safety Ty French = Transfer Pass Rusher who looks the part, dude is absolutely jacked and seeks to add to our defense's sacks & hurrys. OFFENSE: Traylon Ray = Had a fantastic true freshmen season at WR, which improved as last season continued. He'll take another step forward with a full cycle in Mike Joseph's S&C program and continued timing developed with Greene. Rodney Gallanger = Played some at WR as a true freshmen as a highly sought after recruit. Gaining 30lbs or so, hes now up around 180lbs, and will be playing both WR & DB Hudson Clement = From walk on to break out true freshmen season at WR. Should take yet another step forward, solid hands thats not afraid of the tough catches. Tomas Rimac = A 2-3 year starter and was a Freshman All American at LG. Another fantastic piece to this OL "OL Depth as an edge" = Hubbard & Malone as Senior Starters then... Primary Rotational: Weidman, Williams & Bausley. Secondary Rotational: Hamilton, Livingston, Krahe _____ Moore has done a fantastic job building our OL room. While we will lose 4 OL starters after this year, I suspect Moore will do as much as he can to get all Rotational players as many reps as possible to prepare them all for their expanded roles next year and to source out who'll be in the mix. We also have a very talented incoming true freshmen in Kyle Altuner, thatll redshirt this year and aim to compete next year to be in the mix for starting center... That said, I would think Moore will seek to add 1 maybe 2 experienced OL in the portal after this season. To ensure theres not a significant step backward by playing a bunch of first year starters. Moore will likely use this year as a gauge to feel that out, but it wouldnt surprise me if we added 1 perhaps 2 quality upperclassman after this year(Guys that would be expected to produce at a high level). --------------------------------------___________________________--------------------------------------------------____________________________-------------------------------------____________________-----------------_____----__--_-_ True Freshmen that could see some production after mid season or after the first 3-4 games(to give them time to learn, adjust, and find their rhythm ) Zae Jennings = Dude is a monster at Safety, a hard nosed hard hitting Karl Joseph type that shined during Spring ball. I expect him to see playing time early on, at the very least be a quality depth piece. DayDay Farmer = Highly sought after Florida WR, quick & shifty with soft hands and dangerous in the open field. Keyshawn Robinson & Dominick Collins = Both of which are Elite Speed & shiftiness, Collins being a sub 4.3 40 yard time, yes.... he ran 4.2x multiple times at camp, and his shiftiness is just as fast, recruit is lightning in a bottle. It may take these two a year or two before they find a significant role, but their unique skillset will allow them to have a couple packages to utilize it. In time, the WR's that Brown brought in this 2024 class could all be Elite level WRs. Combined with the 2023 WRs, our WR core will be solid moving forward and will continue to improve every year as these young players develop. Brandom Rehmann is another 4 star WR in the 2024 class, different skillset from these two, but talented nonetheless so Im not sure which true freshmen WR will shine in their first year, but I would wager at least 1 of them is good enough to offer some production after the first few games. Obinna Onwuka or Makai Byerson at Edge Nate Gabriel NT/DT Im very excited to see the staff make Speed & Shiftiness skillsets & True Dual Threat QB a recruiting priority. As that has always been the formula for success at WVU when we have competed at a high level. So many reasons why Speed & Shiftiness allow a non-blueblood to compete against traditional 5 star size & strength body types. Also so many ways how a true dual threat helps an offense maintain consistency and reduces predictability & singular dependencies. As long as WVU remains healthy, WVU has the talent, skillsets, & experience on this roster to make it to Dallas this year in despite of a brutal schedule. Its certainly a harder path to Dallas than Utah, Kansas, or Kstate have, but we do play Kansas & Kstate at home. Two must win games. If we manage to beat PSU, that would propel WVU's ranking forward, and that win could very well be the deciding factor if WVU makes the BIG12 Championship in the event there is a tie breaker. WVU;s ranking would most likely be higher than who they are tied with with that win. So this PSU game is extremely important. I believe our chances to win are much better than many pundits realize...
Milum, White, Greene, Lathan, Martin, Taylor, Burks, Ray, Rimac, Clement. Very Hard to just rank 10 guys, they have a great portal class, but I need to see them play. I like Garnes, Hollis, Jackson, French, and Tarnue, they should all be fantastic. There is also a lot of hype about Trotter, he certainly could be in the top 10. The WRs struggled at the beginning of last year, but did really well towards the end of the year. They stopped playing the older guys who moved on and let the 3 freshman and sophomore develop. Bray could be the #1 , but I think It will be Traylon Ray. The others: Gallagher is dynamic, Clement makes big plays, Fox makes contested catches and is steady as they come. The most underrated player is Tyrin Bradley, I think he is gonna take a huge step.
I think that WR is interesting because like you said we saw some good things from some of the young guys late in the year. Interested to see what one of them really take that step in 2024.

Good job..I learned sum stuff Go eers
Appreciate you rocking with it
I played with Milum in highschool. Being on scout defensive line against him and Doug Nester was not fun lol
I would imagine that is brutal 🤣🤣
Why does your yards per carry and total carry yards add up? I’m a fan not a fan of misinformation
not an WV fan, but Anthony Wilson is easily a top 5
You could put him at 7. There's just a lot of talent on this team....
Yeah as I was going through it live I was thinking the same thing to myself. Seemed low to me as well. Good football player
