    After watching your video I now understand what it means to make things in the hoop! I bought the files to make the zipper bags and it will be my first project after acquiring a Janome 15000. I feel confident that they will turn out beautifully with your video guiding me every step of the way! Excellent tutorial.

    You are a great teacher...very thorough and methodical. So helpful that you used the same fabrics for the one you made as the finished example. Helps us understand what part you're working on as you go. Just one thing...taunt means to tease, taut means tight.

      Thank you, someone already commented that a year ago in the comments. I do know the difference and meaning of the word. These videos take me about 3-4 hours to make edit and upload and I have made I think over 100 to help people who learn better by watching. I am sure there more words than this that I have said incorrectly. I know when I play them back to myself when I edit them all the flaws or words I should have used instead. There are several times I say hoop when I should have said machine, etc. I did know I used the word incorrectly but am not about to rerecord, edit and upload it again. In the end, I know everyone who watches this video knows what I meant to say or should have said and the misusage of this word did not stop them from completing their bag correctly. When this happens in the future as I am sure it will as I do not script out these tutorials, I will add a caption correcting it so you all know I know I used a word incorrectly.

    Excellent video. I also like this method of the Double Zipper Bag. I purchased a pattern from another designer and it took me 2 days to comprehend the instructions, and I have made plenty of zippered bags. Once I had it made (other designers bag) I didn't care for the way the inside of the bag turned out.

    I love your classes and I am finally feeling I am getting somewhere with making purses.
    A question, is there a pattern that does the two zips and the front mesh? I was thinking how handy this would be, OR is it possible just to add the mesh just under the pocket zip after taking out of hoop (by ordinary machine)

    • @angelaperry5555
      @angelaperry5555  2 года назад

      There isn't a pattern for that but if you don't care that it would be 1 mesh pocket I would just add it to the bag before you put the back on it will get sewn into the bag just fine. to place it where you want it on the front of the bag tape it then put your back on like normal and run the steps the same way.

    Is there a pop pattern that has a zip inside the main part of the bag

    • @angelaperry5555

      No. You would have to sew one then add that in the liner step.

  • @ufoquilter86

    Do you have a link to the tape that you purchased from Amazon? I saw in the Shannon cuddle videos, making the s’mores bag that you use a translucent medical tape and yours doesn’t look like what I am finding when I search. I would like the clear stuff that you are using because I feel like it would be easier to remove if it did get caught in the stitches rather than using regular scotch tape.

      I only use bobbin thread in the bobbin area on all embroidery items. You can use tear away on the 2nd hooping, just know whatever you use stays in the bag.

    Thanks for the great video! If I wanted to add an embroidered design on the bottom front side of the bag, how/at what stage would I do that? Would I have to flip only the top fabric, tack it down, embroider on it, and then repeat the same stage with the lining flipped down?
    Also - would it be possible to use batting in between the front and lining? Sorry - newbie

    • @angelaperry5555

    I can't get the bottom line to sew, it goes from tacking down the fabrics by the zipper when its supposed to do just that line at the bottom to tack front and liner for pocket. Am I doing something wrong? I have the right file open but instead of that tack down stitch it makes a "U" all around that pocket
