      @@Makiyura I cant tell if this is a pun of a comment 🌀on your part or not so pardon me, but naw i just mean all lore in general. i could not be bothered to sit thru a movie or show these days but these lore vids on Warhammer and for me aliens, dune, Hellraiser, fallout, a bunch others and basically any channel that focused on the back story is way more interesting than what Hollywood or the streaming services (speaking of a "tunneling effect", no thanks ) can come up with. also i don't think i'll ever get into playing Warhammer but why not get into the lore, this shit is chilling sometimes, the adeptis mchanicus and servo-skull for example. awesome crazy stuff.

    Concept of warp travel is what got me hooked on 40k. The idea that every time you pass through some higher dimensions that also houses souls, demons and evil gods, is awesome but also deeply rooted in our culture, like Hades or Hell.
    From reading wiki, to books, to games. It's awesome.

    • @Fuzzy_Yordle
      @Fuzzy_Yordle Год назад +4

      I'm no Loremaster by any stretch, but from what I've gathered, probably not. It seems as if the Warp, as we know it, is localized to our galaxy. The evidence for this is the history of relative stability, with drastic changes to the Warp only happening due to events in our galaxy. If the Warp was not localized to our galaxy, it's likely it would've shifted drastically long ago due to whatever it was the Tyranids did in their own galaxy. It could be possible though. Perhaps the Warp is ever present everywhere, and each galaxy acts like individual pockets (or crystal sphere if you know D&D), but again, that implies difficulty transitioning from one warp instance to another. You never know with the Warp, I guess. Someone with more knowledge on this please correct me where I'm wrong.

    Why do they have to travel by sublight before opening warp? What happens if it’s too early? Are jump points known?

    • @musicaplayer8947
      @musicaplayer8947 Год назад +1

      I rewatched the beginning and I think he says a ship enters a point in the warp relative to the point in real space. In other words if you enter the warp in London you will travel the waves of the warp and come out in Rome where as if you enter the warp in Paris you’ll come out in Tokyo. You first have to travel to the point on the map that you know will get you to where you want to be

    • @HectorJimenez-cn9pq
      @HectorJimenez-cn9pq Год назад +4

      The navigator tells the ship when to open the warp based on how tumultuous the immaterium is at any given point. Its not like Star Wars where they can switch on their warp drive whenever they want. They navigators are looking into the other dimension and making sure they can find a route without getting lost or attacked

    Actually, being able to travel through space and make it to a destination is important. Because the trip could take a long time, even when using a warp drive it is like taking a tiny step in and steps out into realspace.
    The idea that the emperors light is in the center, means that it gets dimmer the further away from it.
    And out into the farthest places it's still on just surrounde, and it's just that bad can come out.

One single point of possible future improvement: I like to watch the videos from my couch and had to get up many times to change the volume due to different volumes throughout the video mostly due to the change in narrator. The astronomicon existed prior to the Emperor's accension to the golden throne. While I don't recall when he created it, it was used when the Imperial forces first left the solar system. The Emperor used a part of his will to power it with the help of the psykers sacrificed to it.
