BEST Beach Near Destin? Full Tour of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park

Living near Destin on the gulf coast of Florida, we’re used to beautiful beaches. We were unprepared for our most recent visit to a local state park and how amazing the beach would be. Topsail Hill Preserve State Park located on 30a right outside of Destin, Florida and the Sandestin Resort is a hidden gem even for this area of sugar white sand and emerald green water. It’s those same sand dunes that give this park its name and are responsible for the rare coastal dune lakes located within the park’s boundaries.

Very nice state park camping area is good to know my family usually come to Panama beach but thank to share for us next time will come to this place for camping thank for sharing.

Of course. We have camped at St. Andrews in Panama City Beach many times and love that area and they've even redone their entire campground. Topsail is the place to really get away in northwest Florida. It is so quiet and peaceful there and the beach is amazing.

any gators in/near that lake?

So I have seen gators in lakes just like that one along the coast but not in that particular one. But I’m sure they’re there.

So are there bears or puma’s out there?

Bears yes. Bears and deer have been known to even get out onto the beach in the area but that’s very rare.
