Actually they had hit songs in the 60’s 70’s 80’s 90’s and 2000’s. Wrote all of their songs and songs for other artists. They wrote over 1,000 songs. They’re in the song writers hall of fame, rock and roll hall of fame. And many more awards and accolades. The only brother still alive is Barry, the oldest of the 3 brothers, who sang lead in this song. Hopefully you continue on the incredible journey with the BeeGees. The fabulous Brothers Gibb.

The lead singer Barry, the only one still living, he’s now in his late 70’s and still touring. He was best friends with Michael Jackson. When MJ was in Miami and couldn’t go out of his hotel room because of all the fans, they would sneak him out the back and he would stay at Barry’s house in Miami. Barry’s 4th son is named Michael after MJ.

I was married one year before this was released in 1978. This would have been in my wedding too, but with them singing, at the reception. Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 68 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.)
The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris)
Robin (Dec 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) passed away as a result of kidney failure.
Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Passed as a result of a twisted intestine. He was in the hospital for 2 days. Barry said he had a heart attack, but the doctors still operated. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins.
Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins. Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Lived a lifestyle involving drugs, and he had heart problems.
The brothers wrote all of his songs. Barry (middle) stated, "I am the last man standing." He was born September 1, 1946. He has 5 adult children and 7 grandkids. This coming September 1, 2023, he and his wife Linda will celebrate their 53rd wedding anniversary. (They were married on his 24th birthday.) On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who was 78, January 12, 2023. Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing.
They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they sang after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs:
    Staying Alive ruclips.net/video/fNFzfwLM72c/видео.html
How Deep is Your Love ruclips.net/video/XpqqjU7u5Yc/видео.html
    Jive Talking ruclips.net/video/oALKAh_bL5g/видео.html
    Closer Than Close ruclips.net/video/m6XIdjEHLRs/видео.html
    One ruclips.net/video/KRUeMgzOCCo/видео.html
    You Win Again ruclips.net/video/KZY9oYSSjFI/видео.html
    Spirits (Having Flown) ruclips.net/video/ONmVEJnxysc/видео.html
    Bodyguard ruclips.net/video/Fx5XwIKCs3o/видео.html
Emotion (written for Samantha Sang 1978) ruclips.net/video/b_wTZjo9azk/видео.html (Destiny Child's cover has too much drama. But Barry liked it.)
Our Love (Don't Throw It All Away) Andy Gibb ruclips.net/video/eH686Dyy16w/видео.html
At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2!
This coming December 2023, Barry Gibb and 4 other artists will receive awards at the Kennedy Center Honors Award Ceremony for their contribution to Arts and Entertainment. Michael Jackson is the Godfather to one of Barry's sons, whose name is also Michael.
All In Your Name (Barry & Michael) ruclips.net/video/KkvmKpuQGR0/видео.html

The Bee Gees are the three Gibb brothers, Barry born in 1976, and the fraternal twins Robin (blond hair) and Maurice born in 12/1949. Barry is 33 and the had just turned 30 when this video was made. Barry, the guy in the middle leads in a lot of their songs, but Robi and Maurice lead in many others. All three are very talented both vocally and on several instruments.
The Bee Gees wrote and produced over 1,000 songs to include songs they wrote for Diana Ross, Dion Warrick, Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton and even Michael Jackson.
The Bee Gees have sold over 220 million records worldwide placing them among the best-selling music artists of all time, as well as the most successful trio in the history of contemporary music. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997; the Hall's citation says, "Only Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Garth Brooks and Paul McCartney have outsold the Bee Gees." With nine number-one hits on the Billboard Hot 100, the Bee Gees are the third-most successful band in Billboard charts history behind only the Beatles and the Supremes.
Too Much Heaven is from the Bee Gee's live performance at The Music for UNICEF Concert: A Gift of Song. It was a benefit concert of popular music held in the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on January 9, 1979. It was intended to raise money for UNICEF world hunger programs and to mark the beginning of the International Year of the Child. The concert was videotaped and broadcast the following day on NBC in the U.S. and around the world. The Bee Gees gave UNICEF rights to all royalties from the song. It's raised about $13 Million for UNICEF thus far.

When Barry was nearly two years old, his mother set a pot of hot tea on the table. Barry climbed up and pulled the tea pot down, which poured all over him and became badly scalded. He had to stay in hospital for two and a half months. His mom said he almost died and did not speak for a long time. He said he doesn't remember, but he has the scars. You can see the scars on his chest. Robin liked to set fires. Maurice (balding hair, which he embraced. He called himself the Baldy Bee Gee) filmed all of the videos of them when they were youngsters. Of course, no sound on most ... just them acting like boys' act.

Barry Gibb, lead vocal, was born in 1946, so he would have been 32 in 1978. His two brothers (twins) were born in 1949, so only 29 then. By this time they were surfing their second hit wave. They had 100 top 10 hits through the years. 6 consecutive number 1s in the US, and Grammys and Hall of Famers times over. You'll love How Deep in your Love and Stsyin Alive, I'm thinking. Great reaction. Thanks. Just subbed. I'm all in for these guys

You are listening to one of the most famous Falsetto voices from the 1970s, which is Barry Gibb in the middle. All three brothers had hearing problems, and twin Maurice could not detect the high pitches of his brother Barry. Yet their harmonies were beautiful.
I am just glad I grew up with all this great music from the 1960s onwards.

These brothers are legends in every respect. I love the Bee Gees. The more you listen to them the more you love them. Their music is timeless. Their names are Robin on the right, Barry in the middle and Maurice on the left. Robin and Maurice are twins. They all lead in songs but Barry and Robin do most of the leads. Maurice pronounced (Morris) does a great lead also. They sing all genres of music. Thanks for your reaction.

Back then it seemed like every other movie was a musical. We were surrounded by Big Bands, Musical theater music, and a wide variety of genres. Please BGs ... "Stayin Alive" .

The Bee Gees had hits in the 60’s 70’s 80’s 90’s and 2000’s and not only for themselves. They wrote songs for most of the top artists such as Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, Elvis, Barbara Streisand, Diana Ross, Olivia Newton-John, Yvonne Elliman, Tavares, Frankie Valli, Jimmy Ruffin and Dionne Warwick to name but a few. They wrote over 1,000 songs are in the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Loved your reaction. Welcome to the rabbit hole of the Bee Gees. You must check out Midnight Special performing Nights on Broadway (have to do this one its live) Little info for you not one of them can read or write music they are self taught on the instruments. The one who gets the least attention is Mo on my left your right. He does most of the instrumentation of their songs. They write all of their own songs (have performed a few songs they did not write for tributes) and have written for hundreds of artist. They have written great lyrics in less then 10 mins. Another great one is Fanny Be Tender with my love. Quincy Jones and Paul McCartney have said its one of the greatest R&B songs ever written.

You want to hear what they sounded like in the 60's? Try these:
To Love Somebody - 1967 (they wrote it for Otis Redding but he passed away before recording it)
    I Started A Joke - 1968 - Robin sings lead.
These were before they all staryed singing in falsetto. Barry didn't even know he could do it back then. He discovered it while recording Nights On Broadway. The producer had one of them to do a high pitch musical scream. Barry said in an interview that how to do it came to him in a dream. Then it became their staple sound in the Disco era.

The guy in the middle is Barry, he's the older brother of the two flanking him. Robin (left) and Maurice are actually twins. And they had a younger brother (and the spitting image of Barry) named Andy who passed away in the 80's. It's said that BeeGesss is actually short for the 'Brothers Gibb'. I've loved them since I was a wee tot laying under a Magnolia tree contemplating the lyrics to 'How Can You Mend a Broken Heart'. Still one of my favorite songs across the board. ❤

Im glad you dig it - it’s real music - I honestly didn’t appreciate it as much in 70/80s bc there was so much great shit out there
As stated these are 3 brothers - talented as all out
What’s crazy is they had a younger brother Andy - who had some great music - check out I want to be your everything
He was basically too young to be in the band when they started n there really wasn’t a place for him
So he rocked his on thing
Sadly he was the youngest but died 1st

Actually, 4 Gibbs brother's.. youngest Andy had his own fame.. the twins and oldest Barry started out together..BEE-brothers GEES-Gibbs

Barry Gibb, the oldest brother in the middle, Robin on his left, and Robin's twin Maurice on the right, Twins are both gone now, just barry is left of the Brothers Gibbs, hence BeeGees.

I absolutely love all of these reaction videos to this song. I have only seen one person who didn't like it. His ears must have been broken. But I love how everyone except the broken one, smiles and it makes them feel good.
Just a little bit of advice. I don't know if you were hungry when you looked at this video. If you were, eat before you do another one. If not try to be a little bit friendlier. 😊.
I'm glad you enjoyed the music. My generation feel good music.
Check out Elvis, Lawdy Miss Clawdy.

Many don’t know that the voices on this video were not live.
The recording process was the longest of all the tracks on Spirits Having Flown as there are nine layers of three-part harmony, creating 27 voices, though the high falsetto voices are the most pronounced in the final mix:[6]
Barry on falsetto lead three times
    falsetto high harmony three times
    falsetto low harmony three times
Barry on natural voice lead three times
    high harmony three times
    low harmony three times
Barry, Robin and Maurice together on lead three times
    high harmony three times
    low harmony three times[6]

New Sub here. You have to be from Louisiana with " Geaux ". I was born and raised in Louisiana " Geaux Tigers" and " Geaux Saints " please react to the Bee Gees
" Love You Inside Out ".
Barry is the lead in this with his brothers Maurice and Robin who are twins. They also had a younger brother Andy Gibb who had some hits as well. Barry is the only one still living.

Well said, hip- hop is the only genre they say is a young man's game, meanwhile The Rolling Stones were selling out stadiums when they were legally senior citizens. Nas recently said he wished more rappers from his era would make new music, but Andre 3000 was asked why he doesn't make music anymore, he said cause it's in the name hip-hop, meaning "hip", once you get older you're not hip anymore, I don't agree with that. There's nothing like hearing a young talented rapper come on the scene, but if your older and still have the inspiration to make new music, do it.

The reason that they are still popular when they’re older is they’re not singing about “busting a cap” in another disco artist’s ass. You don’t have The Bee Gees & Donna Summer in a disco feud. Rap music was music & good from the Sugar Hill Gang to about MC Hammer. Since then, you can name a few dozen rappers who are either in jail for shooting a fellow rapper or 6 feet under from being shot by another gang or rapper. Modern day rap/hip-hop is not music! Artists like Barry, Maurice & Robin Gibb die of natural causes, not being gunned down by a rival rapper!
