- This is a comparison of the Donner DCF-100 and the Enya Nova U Concert Ukulele. As a disclaimer, the Enya Nova U was sent to me free, years ago, for review purposes (and is still in perfect shape). The Donner was purchased during a huge Amazon sale.
Conclusion: best ukulele? Enya. The Donner isn't terrible and is a safe buy under $40 (as long as they fix the side position marker at the 9th fret). More than $40, spend the extra money and buy the Enya.

That was interesting to hear. I always wondered if the F logo would mute the sound at all. Guess not!
I bought the donner for under $40 as my "beater" uke. It works well enough. It actually has better tone and volume than the Epiphone Les Paul uke I used to own. Without the super low price, I'd buy the Enya every time...probably with the effects at least once.
I just don’t use the effects, so I like the plain model: but I certainly and respect anyone who wants to have amplification and effects as an option!
I have the Enya, and my sister, who lives in another state, has the Donner (although, both of us have the soprano scale). I was wondering how they compared, so thank you for this video. I want to change the strings to Martin M600's. I just haven't had the nerve to attempt my first time at changing strings.
