Can’t believe I am looking up this videos to avoid another $300 trip to the urgent care
True, couldn't have said it better myself 😂
@@gr33nxwolf it’s ridiculous how healthcare works. If it’s related to my previous visit, it should all be included in same fee. Just walking into an urgent care scares my wallet, despite having good insurance

Lol America! 🇺🇸 so true!
same here
I wish I knew this when I removed my stitches. I’ll definitely keep that cutting method in mind next time I have to remove stitches from myself, not dragging the outside parts of a suture through the skin is a helpful tip!
Excellent short precise video! Thank you!
Good explanation! I’ve watched several videos. Yours is the best.
Thank you!
I was about to try and make an appointment somewhere with a doctor. That way I would have spent like two hours and the price of a consultation for doing ... this... to be honest I didn't even need the video but thought it wise to check and watch at least once. Then I removed my stitches. Took not even 2 minutes and it was free. Doctors can be a real scam, too. Thank you for the informative video.
Thank you. I just realised they forgot to take one out so this video really helps 🤣
Its really nice seeing these show ul in my subs. Good to watch back and learn some more
Thanks for sharing this information 🙏
This is the best example video.
Thank you so much for this!
Great teaching . Thank u so much
Thank you for showing us this technique! It’s very useful! Which way do you think has the least pull on it?
In my opinion, both directions are probably equal in how much tension is put on the skin as it is removed. Thanks for watching and commenting!

im looking to buy a suture practice kit but im not sure what to look for in the product, but i do very much so like the suture pad you use in this video! could you tell me what kit you used as well as what size pad suture that is? thanks! and your videos are very well articulated and helpful!!
Hi Charlize, thanks for watching and for your comment! I use a couple of different suture pads, but the one I used in this video is from SurgiReal. I have no financial connections to the company; I'm just a pleased customer. This is the one I have: surgireal.com/collections/suture-training-kits/products/small-6-layer-suture-training-kit
Excellent thank you.
can your incision grow over the stitches after there was some
swelling the first 3 days after the surgery? what will the Dr have to do
if that happens to remove the sutures?
Are you supposed to wear gloves when you removing those Staples the gloves help fight bacteria
Tq for valuable information 😊
Is there a practice kit you could recommend?
Practice suturing kits? I have two that I would recommend. The one I used in this video is a 5-layer SurgiReal kit (www.surgireal.com). I also really like the kit from Provider Prepared (www.providerprepared.com). Both are great.
Does it hurt when removed by doctor??
Financially 😂
Whai if a piece of the suture left in after stitches removal
What is the name of this cutting scissor
does this hurt ?
My stitches have been in for almost 6 weeks. Should I remove them?
what your doc said bro???
Yea cuz everyone has those kinda scissors just laying at home🙄
They are approximately $5 on Amazon. I have some in my house just in case haha
omg that looks painful im not ready to get these stitches taken out in 8 days
I feel like Im bout to throw up they better numb my arm first before they do that
I'm here cause I need to take out stitches from my dog. 😂
i just got cercomsized and i thought my thread was dissolvable... um
Mine are in ten weeeks
I thought sutures dissolved?
Dshaye Bailey not all ☺️
Hi Dshaye Bailey. It depends on the type of suture that was used. Most of the time, simple lacerations are closed with a visible suture that does not dissolve and needs to be removed days later. Sometimes, providers like myself may choose to us a dissolvable suture, which would not need to be removed. So it depends on the suture material that was used.
You are supposed to pull the suture across the wound so as no to open the wound
I’m going to push back a little and disagree. If the wound is at risk of popping open based on which direction you’re pulling the sutures when removing them, you’re removing the sutures far too early and they should stay in a few more days.
does it hurt???😂😂😂
