Why are the off peak and local trains running on the sides opposite to the normal direction of traffic? I originally thought there may be some construction, but when I saw the three train meet, that told me that construction was not the reason. Does anyone happen to know? Thanks.
Running on the left side is a long-standing practice on the three Union Pacific Metra lines going back to the to the introduction of double track on the Chicago and North Western. Suburban stations were originally built on the north side; since they primarily serve inbound passengers, it made sense for the inbound track to be on the left.
Great footage 🔥🔥
Idk how I just realize Gladstone Park still have the old platform. Nice ride video and that cool 3 train meet at Dee road!
Thanks Mitch!
Awesome!
Thanks!

Surprised none of the conductors harassed you like they did me when I tried to make a cab car video from Harvard to OTC….
I’m sorry to hear that… what did they say?
@@Coaster_Railfan He made me sit down. Dude was on a serious power trip. This happened years ago though.
@@BroadwayLTDProductions I see, most of the conductors on the UP Lines know me and my friends and we are allowed to film on the trains
