I just want to voice my small opinion and experience, last summer of 2023 I was rightfully arrested for participating in a fight at a bar. I have no prior chargers for any of that kinda thing and it really brought me down that I made poor decisions that night, but when I was taken into holding at night I was met by a whole new wave of younger correctional officers with something to prove and zero regard for your rights. I was told that if I didn't strip down completely naked I would be taken into a corner of the jail and beat off camera. As I was further booked in that night every c.o made it a point to let me know that even if I made a dirty look at any of them I would be taken to a lockedown cell for who knows how long and possibly beaten. The fact of the matter is that in the midst of these types of conditions this man did in fact die due to some type of negligence. This is all very real and I thought I'd just share my own experience. R.i.p to the deceased.
