Saw it tonight and thought it was good for what it was going for. Wanted to go to support Mel and Marky Mark. It's more of a steaming movie 90% shot in the plane. If they weren't stupid with the budget should do well.
I love Wahlberg's terrible bald head that goes with the terrible accent. The first time I saw it I burst out laughing. I'm seeing "Presence" and "A Complete Unknown"(finally) this weekend. I don't think my eyes have room for this one. I didn't know it was directed by Mel Gibson until you mentioned it here, so that made it at least a little more interesting to me, but if there ever was a movie that said "Wait till it's on Netflix", it's this one.
Interesting that Mel Gibson isn't taking himself to seriously. You forgot to mention Wahlberg's Peter Berg run. Gibson has starred in trash, but never really directed it. Never thought he would...
I’d say Presence & One Of Them Days (which both seem to be getting largely a solid amount of praise & positive word of mouth) & then Companion make January certainly more than just ‘a dead month of nothing new’ Not to mention many flicks carrying over from last December too, depending on how big the theater is in someone’s area…
Had a blast playing it for a few days but then I got distracted by Honour Mode in Baldur's Gate 3 which has chewed up my gaming the last few weeks. Fired up for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II in a few days.
Disappointing to hear but kind of saw this coming from the trailer, will see it in 4DX for an extra kick to my ass. Sorry if that disappoints your more cinephile sensibility. I consider myself one, but love gimmicks like 3D and such. I feel it’s an added art form on an already very layered (if not the most layered) modern way of expressing ourselves. Movies baby!
Wahlberg is a deal breaker for me. Do not care for him as an actor, so much so that I was disappointed to find out he was the lead in Shane Black's next movie, since I was initially excited for it. As for Mel, hopefully he'll collaborate with S. Craig Zahler again. He has an edgy energy that is well suited to Zahler's material.
Don't kid yourself James. Mel is bored out of his tiny little skull. They all are. No amount of money will help them. And he is the proper little service dog, always seeking approval, like all 'directors'.
Peter Weir's The Year Of Living Dangerously is another great Mel movie.
I have zero desire to watch this film
This 🎥 is from his Studio in Las Vegas.

Really looking forward to Companion. Heard nothing but great things.
Seeing it Tuesday. Intensely fired up.
Is Companion a Horror movie?
"THERES SUMTHIN IN DAH WATUH"
This headline can apply to much of Wahlberg's movies.
F'in love Gallipoli.

Mel Gibson directed this!I'm in!!
James, they don't show movies about hijacking airplanes...on airplanes.
They only had 22 days to shoot this movie apparently. Which could explain the overall quality, I dont know
Why they keep giving Marky lead roles. He's not good, I find him better in supporting roles like Perfect Storm or Deepwater Horizon.

Boy, it’s been a dead month of nothing new. I might see Presence and Nickel Boys tomorrow.
As you should.

One of Them Days is getting really good praise.

Epic review number 654,890👌 😎👏🙌
Watch at home when it's streaming. Don't spend more in the cinema!

Trailer looked terrible, more than a bit of nauseating girl power
Oh no, women? How scary!!
First Mel Gibson directed movie I have no interest in. Nope!
Walberg and Gibson faith based movie no thanks lol
It's not a faith based movie.
This not a faith based movie
