    Got to say as an A&P you doing all this work pulling all the panels pulling the interior is appreciated by us so much it saves us time and you money.
    I’m loving all the videos btw

      Only thing that would bother me is locating where each panel originally went, dealing with missing hardware, differentiating hardware between each panel, etc etc etc. I go by the rule of “if you took it apart, you put it back together. Not to mention it’s a liability having the aircraft owner work on their own plane.

      @@PrimeHiFi oh yea definitely if you took it off you’re putting back on and there are only certain people that I feel comfortable letting them take panels off there aircraft and I give them very specific instructions on what too do and not too do
      Also they are always somewhat supervised by me and I’m at least always in earshot

    New engine new interior and a fresh outlook . Can't wait to hear what actually happened to the engine but my guess was bearing failure caused by oil starvation. Hope you get up real soon. God love ya

    Hi Ed ... This brought back a ton of memories .. good idea to replace the carpet if the foam is degerated that far! Laughed at .. I don't fit under the wing!! Too funny!!

    Yeah keep it up. I now check my subscriptions button daily to see if you posted anything new, which is new for me even though I’ve been on RUclips for years. It’s fun exploring the 210 with you. I’m getting close to partnering up with someone in Fresno that owns a 1980 T182RG, so all your content is inspiring. Thank you.
    I would get the extra W&B’s. Makes you more flexible.

    Good video. Carpet - maybe an auto shop could do it for your and save a little. They know how to nip & tuck. Inspection good idea and you assistant learning hands on good idea. Engine - may I suggest chock the the wheels, tie her down and test on the ground first. Then maybe a high speed run. You are the PIC I just sit here waiting for another 🎥

    I've seen a couple of guys who have P337s and they've removed the rear seat and turned it into a four-place airplane. I don't know how many people you want to stick in the airplane, but if it doesn't exceed four, then take the back seat out, and give yourself a little more legroom for the third and fourth passengers. That is, if you're only flying with up to four people.
    Some of the owners of Aerostars took one of the middle row seats out of that turning it into a five-place airplane, too.

      So far, the most people I've had in the airplane is 2 additional passengers, but the airplane has spent a lot of time in maintenance. I did one Angel flight where having additional room in the cabin would have been very helpful.

      @@TheEdwardFrye if you're going to do Angel Flights, first off, thank you for that. Secondly, I think opening up one seat in the middle row, giving a person the option to stretch out is an awesome idea.

    Just one weight and balance with the two removable seats arms and individual weights so that you can simply deduct or include the seat and it’s passenger weight in the calculations. You should use an excel spreadsheet to do the data entry with a normal/utility plot table that graphically shows your cg arm and gross weight.

    Good job pulling the panels Ed... Be sure to mark the ones that can't be put back where they came from. And Mark any stripped N/P's & fasteners... I remember a bunch of stuff was not marked on a Navajo that I worked on years ago, at an FBO that I worked at... The owners took the panels off to help the process... It took quite awhile to find where the panels and hardware came from... It ended-up co$ting the owners more money... Best of luck to you, on the progress- of that failed engine Amigo... Hopefully , that will turn-out well...

    Has the interior plastic gotten yellow by UV?
    You can try retro brightening the yellow plastic.

    As a person who does not fly, if I had to fly in that aircraft, I'd much rather sit in one of the individual seats than the bench seat.

    So why did you pick the 210? Was also considering the 182s. Maybe consider making another video on why you chose the 210 and other plans that you considered but then ruled out, for whatever reason you ruled them out for, also tell us your height and your weight, I too am a big guy and I'm trying to judge how I would fit in some of these planes

      Thanks William, I think this is a great idea. I am 6'5" (195cm), 310lbs (140kg), according to the original 'AC 120-27' from 1968, I am almost two standard people.

    That tressel under the back of the fuselage is fraught with danger. They should have a drum filled with concrete and a pipe to attach to the tie down fitting.

    I hope you gained a greater appreciation of what's actually holding you aloft, and what counts for a plane's crashworthiness. Which you're lucky not to have tested recently because your engine failed just a few seconds after it easily could have. GA planes ain't built to anything like the crash-survivability standards of modern cars and never will be due to weight. At best, they can offer you a full-plane parachute in lieu of, and that's not going to be pleasant, just mostly survivable (although maybe requiring hospitalization) if deployed within its parameters.. So it's best not to crash regardless :) .
    Anyway, having taken your seats out and having seen what's holding them in place against the normal forces of flying the plane with nothing going wrong, how certain are you that they'd remain in place if the plane came to a sudden stop against something solid at even touchdown speed? Such thoughts aren't meant to scare you off flying, just to give you an appreciation of the risks which you so nearly encountered when your engine blew. For the last couple decades, we've become accustomed to walking away from car wrecks that used to be fatal, and I saw this evolve in my 20 years in the fire service. But airplanes haven't kept up with the cars in this regard so again, don't crash :)

    I wouldn't bother that much with the interior. If you can afford it, get a new engine. Then sue the mechanic for the money.
