Former Queen manager, John Reid, mentions in the book ' The Life, Death And Legacy Of Freddie Mercury ' by Matt Richards and Mark Longthorne(2O16), the former Queen manager tells the authors that Freddie had actually told him Love Of My Life was written for his first boyfriend, David Minns. But, I must conceed and admit, the song does seem to fit Mary very well. So that's fine. 😊❤👌👌🙏🙏

Freddie was soooo incredibly talented and musically creative but he was his own worst enemy. He led a sordid and seedy life after he came to terms with his true sexuality. Mary, one would believe, was in it for everything he could offer her ... Granted, she loved him but it was even easier for her to remain his friend and reap the rewards. I have mixed feelings about Mary. She was paid handsomely by Freddie and accorded numerous privileges just to remain a loyal and supportive friend to him. She played her role in Freddie's life splendidly, knowing that one day she would scoop a sizeable bounty. It is Freddie I most feel empathy for ... He was so brilliant but also sooooo destructive !!
Yeah she was so terrible that Freddie left her His cremated remains (ashes) & she kept her promise to never reveal where they were scattered. No wonder he trusted her, right?
She lived her entire life off mercury's back, never liked this woman, i remember it was 1995 i was 19 went to Garden Lodge with my gf to see where one of my musical idol lived and to pay some sort of tribute, my gf bought flowers to leave at the door and take some photos. A man came out from the door and told us in a very rude way to leave, i believe it was her husband, and throw the flowers back at us.
They were engaged and Freddie should have married her. Freddie decided he was bi, and that was the beginning of Freddie’s demise. Had he stayed with Mary, he would still be with us. He was led into a very sordid lifestyle and it was really gross, leading to AIDS. 😢😢😢
I never understood the song "Love of My Life" being about Mary cause the song isn't a love song. it's about a woman breaking your heart and leaving you. Freddie wrote the song while they were together not when they broke up.
I'm also a bit upset Freddie left mostly everything to her when it was Freddie's boyfriend Jim Hutton who was taking care of him when he was slowly dying of AIDS.
Also Michael Jackson couldn't handle working with Freddie cause of all the cocaine he'd do in the studio.
