It's amazing to think how many years the original doctor who show whent. 3 years before star trek and was still going when Star trek The Next Generation came on
I've been watching Doctor Who since the 1970s. In Chicago, we got it on PBS, starting with the 3rd Doctor. I watched religiously until it went off the air in 1989. I was excited when Fox wanted to bring the series to the US and at the time I was sad that the single TV movie didn't do well enough (but in retrospect, I'm glad it didn't, because Fox would probably have screwed it up anyway... and "Americanized" it). Since it came back on-air with Chris Eccleston, I've once again been watching religiously. So, the only Doctors I haven't seen all their episodes of are Hartnell and Troughton (mainly because so many of them remain missing). Through ups and downs, great and mediocre, I will continue to watch as long as they keep making Doctor Who.
Doctor Who was actually first aired the day JFK was shot, it was nearly pulled from the schedule in favour of news coverage etc. Imagine that, we may never have had this 60 year adventure at all!

Would love to see you react to the actual 60th anniversary trailer. Not a member, but hey if any members do think it's a good idea it's at least a suggestion 😅
Can you PLEASE react to more edits of the 9th Doctor? The BBC channel literally has a compilation of moments from his era. Either that or this edit called The Daleks Showing The Doctor's True Nature by ProfSmiles.
quick question, are we allowed to request things in the youtube comments? If so can I request two videos? One being "JJ and Kiara | Their story (1x10 - 3x10)" by Elamoresrevolucion and second being "BEST JJ LINES | [s2] outer banks" by Cynefin
It was almost cancelled right off the bat, the first episode aired the day JFK was shot so everyone was watching the news and the ratings were terrible. They begged the bbc to give them a reairing of the first episode and it did way better and here we are 60 years later!

I could be mistaken, but I wanna say there was a connection between Third Doctor Jon Pertwee and Roald Dahl thru their military days. Although it might have been that they both worked alongside Ian Fleming at some point.
@@natsmith303 I know Dahl worked alongside Flemming (fun fact Dahl is a actually one of the inspirations for Bond, particularly his flirtous, sleeping with lots of women which he actually did as part of his job to convince them to express British sympathies) I'm unaware of an Jon Pertwee connection to the two, I know he served in the Navy, just not that he met either, however that could easily be something I just don't know and may have to look up. Edit: Just looked it up and yes, you're right. Pertwee did know Flemming, but can't find any evidence of Dahl, so they seem connected just by both knowing Flemming.
big fan of your videos but this edit is possibly my least favorite ive ever seen and seen a lot!! the fact it's supposed to be celebrating 60 yrs makes it all the more disappointing **for me**

I LOVE that 13th, 14th, 15th, and fugitive doctors were included :)
They even showed Peter Cushing’s Doctor Who

Was also 80 seconds late starting due to the news update

1963- forever 💕
By the way, in case you didn't know, the 14th Doctor is David Tennant (again...., he was the 10th Doctor)
I’m exited for the new specials next month.
For 60 years continuously on the air I would suggest 'Coronation Street'
Having watched Doctor Who since Hartnell, I'm beginning to show my age.

I wouldn't call Willy Wonka a blasphemous comparison at all, I fact I think it's pretty fair. Hey Roald Dahl is even British, Welsh to be specific.
Besides, Dahl’s Willy Wonka sequel novel was basically a Doctor Who ripoff, so...

Loved this reaction!!
I really miss practical effects. I am not a fan of the cgi-laden movies and tv shows that feel so fake.
Especially if they don’t spend the time and budget on them it looks heinous 💀
