I'm a little "under the weather" today and a bit annoyed because of it. I don't know where this came from as I'm careful to stay away from crowds and sick folks. But watching this video relaxed me and made me forget for a little while that I'm down ... thanx for this...better than taking cold pills!...and in 4K, I felt that I was there with you! Thanx for letting me tag along...
I missed your narration; however, The serenity of you just presenting what you found to the music was appreciated. Salve for the soul! Thank you for sharing! ❤
Thank you for another amazing video from Maine. When you have a new video pop up it always makes my day. The music, the scenery- even pine cones and a lady bug today!, the shells, the water, the pebbles, the drone footage and your narrative all make your videos such stellar quality. Your videos are works of art! We have traveled to Maine and North Caicos Island to vacation and shell due partly to your videos. We’ve frequented the west coast of FL for shelling but now really enjoy finding locations on Florida’s East coast and the shells it offers. Happy shelling, and thank you!
Wow, it was such a pleasure to read through your comment here. I truly appreciate that you have found so much enjoyment on this channel. Happy shelling, friend!
Thank you for sharing! The hubby & I are gearing up for another beach combing adventure, in our home state of Maine! Love the moon snail shells!!!!!!! Always have our eyes wide open for sea glass. I will be a happy girl to find a piece of pink sea glass, which I know is out there!!!!!
Still watching your video!!!!! Looks like we need to head to Peaks Island. Never been but after watching this video, I now know exactly where I want to go! Thank you again! Everything you pick up, are all things I would pick up too!!!!! Such beautiful treasures!!!!!
What an Amazing day ! Sweet beach glass. But..those White shells..almost looked like white Nutmegs. I make shell ornaments. Hard to resist nice Moonsnails too ! Thank you !!
Hi Brian! Gosh those northern moons are gorgeous. Love the sea glass! I am obsessed with Northern sand dollars. They are awesome! You make the most relaxing videos. Thanks for the adventure!
Amazing finds, beautiful scenery, and your editing style is crafted to perfection! I feel like you are able to fully capture the feeling of these remote places. This approach really show the mysteriousness of the beach environment and its fantastic shells. I am curious, how do you source your background music? You have really good taste!
Thanks for the wonderful feedback friend! I am quite a bit behind on replying to comments, lol! I get my music through a subscription to Musicbed.com - it's amazing!
Great question! I have actually found quite a few fossil shells in Maine! There is a Pleistocene geological formation in Maine known as the Presumpscot Formation. Fossil mollusks can be found in buried clay sediments within the formation, and sometimes these features become exposed due to erosion, or underwater features become exposed during storms here, and shell fossils can wash up on the beach. Most of the fossils in the formation are from species that are still alive today, but only now live in the Polar/Ice cap regions. These species thrived during the colder climate of the last Ice Age here in Maine, but now Maine waters are too warm for them. I have also found shell fossils in Florida, and sea biscuit fossils at Holden Beach - the latter are SUPER old fossils! Thanks for watching!
Rocks AND shells? There have been many places that have both, but I would say maybe Washington State. I visited here a few months ago found beautiful beach stones(red Jasper etc.), and really cool shells(video coming soon). I would also say the Maine coast as well, particularly Downeast Maine for beach stones(Jasper, Rhyolite etc.) + Shells, lol! Thanks for watching!
Crappy New England shells! Oh wow, look we have 5 different shells around here, 90% are slipper snails. I never knew how beautiful shells can be until i started watching Florida shelling videos. Now i am obsessed with shells. Except for the ugly New England ones where i live. Still love your videos, much more when there not from around here.
Oh New England has some absolutely AMAZING shells. I invite you to check out some of my other Maine shelling adventures, particularly those from Downeast Maine at fishing harbors - beautiful Neptunes, Whelks, Moonsnails, and Scallop shells. While it's true shells don't wash up on shore in Maine like they do in Florida, storms can bring in beautiful deep water species in abundance. 😃 I also have quite a bit of Florida, and Caribbean shell content on this channel. Please check it all out, and thanks for watching! 💙
That's a great question! I have many though... I have a strong interest in shells from the polar regions of the world, probably because they possess a uniqueness, and no one shell collects there, lol. Thanks for watching!

Seems you always find sea glass in Maine. Nice video as always, thanks and stay safe
Maine beaches can be great to find sea glass, especially the cobblestone/pebble beaches!
Thanks for watching!
Whats been your fav place that had rocks and shells? Thank you for this!

Shark eyes are ugly in my opinion.
I guess you havent seen the beautiful colors that some have! Absolutely STUNNING!
I think you may be referring to the Northern Moon Snail shells? We don't have Shark eye Moons in Maine.
Thanks for watching!
